We purchased new carpet about 3 years ago. It had huge lumps in the carpet and they came out to restretch it. Also we added stain guard at the time of the purchase, it was a higher end carpet. The carpet started to lump again and just keep getting worse. We went into the store to talk to them about this and they said they would send someone else out to look at it and restretch it again. The man that came out said that there was something wrong with the carpet and that he had never seen so many lumps and that it looked like some kind of defect to him.
We were also purchasing back splash from them for our kitchen and was told that the carpet was going to be taken care of. It took them three weeks to send the specialist out to look at our carpet and to come to find out he was actually head of customer service. He was not friendly at all, never introduced himself or talked to my husband, the only thing he said that he would let us know in one week what they were going to do with the carpet. Back splash was installed by an independent contractor and it looked great. After two weeks I called customer service because no one had called about the carpet and left a message. Called again, called again. No one returns calls there at all unless you nasty, which I did. They finally called back after 3 weeks and said that they would restretch the carpet yet again and the the stain in the hallway was due to our blacktop in our driveway and they couldn't do anything about it ( which is so funny because the stain is not at the front of the entryway where we would first walk into the house but in the middle of the floor and will not come up no matter what, some stain guard) and that we would have to move all the furniture which we paid to have moved the first time we bought the carpet. I feel like they told us what we wanted to hear so that we would purchase the back splash and they didn't hold up their end about the carpet. The carpet has a defect and anyone who looks at it can tell. The lumps are all through the house, even in the closets. They do not stand by their product and I hope anyone looking to purchase new carpet thinks twice about where they go. They are really nice until you have a problem and then they forget about you.
