This is not a good place to live. I lived here for just over a year, and had to move for medical reasons. The staff here is terrible and rude, and will lie to you get any cent of money they can. When I moved in, I was shown a model

I love this place! Staff is extremely friendly and very helpful! Maintenance comes the day or day after you call them and are also very nice! New Carpets, new appliances, washer and dryer, and pet friendly! Even the office allows pets in it and has treats for them. The neighbors are all very nice and I feel very safe here! They keep up with mowing lawns, leaf blowing, and landscaping. Its pretty quiet here also. Sometimes I can hear the neighbors faintly and also can hear school bell but thats it. One con is that they no longer allow grills on your patio. They are installing community grills though. Beautiful swimming pools and tennis courts! I could ask for a better place!

Pros: new carpet, new appliances, pet friendly, always parking

Cons: grills

Take my advice. Our first month was okay aside from being lied to about where were going to live until after we signed the lease. Without the cracker-loving, unreasonable and rude staff, the pests, the mold, the leaks, the frost inside in the winter, the noise, the inhumane treating of animals, this place has really nice parking lot.

My experience was pretty good, however by the end, I was ready to move on (mostly because of the neighbors). I just moved out not too long ago, and keep in mind that I haven't received my deposit back (if there are a lot of unnecessary deductions, I'll be highly disappointed). I'll break it down into pro and cons.

NEGATIVES
My car was broken into in December. Part of this was my fault because I had just gotten home from Christmas and left some bags in my car. The maintenance guy was really nice; he let me use the vacuum to clean out the glass and gave me a trash bag, but none-the-less, it made me feel very unsafe.
My ceiling in the bathroom and in front of my closet leaked quite a bit. They would come in a reasonable time if I called; however, it was never fully fixed because it leaked up until the last month I was there.
Some neighbors were scary and made me feel unsafe. At times it was comical- like when there were men who would play REALLY loud latin/mexican music in the parking lot and stand by the van- like they were tailgating on a random Wednesday night...? But other times weren't as funny and I felt scared.
Parking was crazy at times. I lived in Tulon, and there were times where I had to make up my own parking space, but one good thing was that I never got a ticket for doing that- it was just a pain.
POSITIVES
The landscaping was so nice! I really think they did a good job in the warmer seasons with flowers and keeping the grass green. Probably the best part of the apartment!!
The staff was very nice.
Close to campus (15 min drive)
I liked the pools- even though I was too busy with school and work to use them- I went a couple times and it was nice that there were 3 to choose from.

So I guess it was your typical "average" experience. No apartment experience is perfect and I guess it also taught me some lessons (know self defense when walking in dark parking lots and never leave stuff in your car).

Terrible place. Tons of problems. I only stayed there for two months. On moving out, they said it was fine if I clean and return the key at 9:30 am instead of 9:00 am. They then had the gall to bill me rent for that day at a high rate. It gets better though, they lost my forwarding address and sent creditors after me. I found this out when I called them asking why I had not received any bills or such. I know some may read this and assume I am some deadbeat. I am a junior faculty at OSU and just stayed at Governors Square because it was difficult to find a place from out of state that would allow a dog. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. Beyond the terrible service of the management, the apartment itself was terrible. This place is owned by a big business and treat their tenants like excrement.

Pros: I moved out

Cons: just horrible, dishonest apartment complex

We lived in this place to go to school at OSU. We spent I year there. The only nice thing about it is that the area is nice and it is a short drive from campus. Governors square will nickle and dime you until you are broke. The Lease they have is too large and over complicated at 20+ pages of fine print. Requiring 60+ days of notice to leave the apartment. Failure to give notice will up your bill about 50% on top of what you already pay. During our stay they insisted on checking our furnace half a dozen times during the winter, but never to change the filter. During the spring rain would leak through the window upstairs so much the water would show up on the ceiling downstairs. When we called governors square about it they said it happens all the time and to not worry about it. The company bills you for utilities 3 to 4 months late with 2-3 months on one bill. The dumpster can be up to 100yds away depending where you're at. Parking can be tight at times. During the columbus rush hour it can be very difficult to turn left out of the complex. There is a lot of ambient traffic noise, even inside. This place "looks" very nice. Theres 1 guy that ris running the show in their office out there, any many recent graduates who are looking for something better. The communication is so bad that we had an eviction notice put on our door 1 week after we moved in there. A phone call later and they remembered our first month was free.

Pros: Location to OSU and nice area

Cons: Parking, bad staff, maintenance issues, late bills
