Avoid this place - you're much better off anywhere else. The manager/owner/whoever she is really rude and would not help me this last time I was in.....apparently the phone was more important than making a sale. I thought the economy needed stimulation....guess these ladies hadn't heard that. The store must have trust fund money to survive b/c I can't believe how they behave. I have now had two experiences there that have been so bad.

Pros: NONE!!!

Cons: A LOT!!!

First time visiting this shop. Wouldn't recommend it. Not really a good boutique to shop at.....some nice styles, but too expensive. Plus, not much selection and many styles more for teens. Plus, I overheard a worker there saying it's struggling and going out of business. Sad for Hyde Park Sq., but I'm not surprised given their target.

today i discovered a little jewel on hyde park square! I found the best clothes and the prices were good. the staff spent a lot of time with me helping me to find exactly what looked the best on me. they knew what they were talking about and got me to try things i might have been afraid to try. i am a size 10-12 and there were many options! i am so glad i found a store like this in town!

Pros: very beautiful clothes and helpful staff

Cons: i wish it were in kentucky where i live now!

By far, this store is the worst store Hyde Park has to offer. I am a size 8-10, which is not that large of a size. There was nothing for me, which was fine. I get it that some boutiques only carry sizes 0-4. It was the attitude of the owner that was so bad. She was talking to friend in the store and when I "interrupted" their conversation she was rude and pretty much laughed at me when I asked if she carried larger sizes. She actually suggested a store that I know of for larger women! I asked her who the owner was and she said it was her...a card in the front of the store says Diane March. Buyer beware...even if you're a small sized woman, don't shop in a place with an owner who is as rude as she is. This is clearly not a real "job" for her and she doesn't need/want the customers.

Pros: Location

Cons: Rude and terribly mean owner

I love this cute boutique!!! The clothes are unusual and unique. I am so glad there is place where you can buy clothes and accessories without having to travel to a big city. I love the fact that she offers sizes from small to large. The store itself is beautiful and the help is Great. I get so many compliments when I wear their clothes. The new location is convenient to other great shopping and restaurants. If your looking for something different and fashion forward I would go to Boutique Hope!!!!!

Pros: selection of clothes, service, clean, location, parking in rear of building

Cons: store credit only on returns

I used to come to this little shop when it was in Oakley, and I loved it. The girl working (brown hair, never got her name, she was in college) was always so nice to me. I could go in and shop, -she would get my kids toys to play with- and she would chat with me. She was very nice to my children- she played with them on a few occassions too so I could try on clothes. I don't think she works there anymore, I wish I would have gotten her info to babysit!

The store moved recently, and it's different now. I went in last week and was shocked. I met the owner and she wasn't very nice. The woman at the register had a look on her face suggesting that she didn't approve of the way the owner was talking to me, and looked at me sympathetically. It wasn't really the things she said to me, she was just condescending. I tried on a pair of jeans anyway, depsite this, and got to talking to the woman at the register. I asked about their Aoyomi Itchome ( I have no idea how that is spelled, but it's of Japanese origin) and I found out that this company is on the US's child labor list. Another label they carry is also on the US's Child Labor list- so yes, the lines are unique, but only because other businesses don't carry clothing lines that employ child labor. I returned my purchase the following day (after feeling guilty, and terrible) and explained why. The woman at the register (blonde) told me the owner would never consider dropping the line!

So, overall, I have to rank this store poorly, despite how well my children are treated when I shop there... fact of the matter is though that so many other children aren't treated well, and this shop is supporting it, whether they want to believe it or not.

Pros: They take care of your children so you can shop!

Cons: They support child labor by carring clothing made by children, the owner was rude and condescending

I have to disagree with the previous reviewers. I have always been treated very well there and the owner has always been very kind to me and to my restless 2 year old. They have a toy box that they brought out. I could try on clothes and know that she was okay. They have very unique items from all over the world. Yes, they have some lines that they carry at other stores but most of it is very unusual. I have had especially good luck with a line they carry from Japan. They have these pieces that depending on where you button it, it changes the look so you have 2 or 3 pieces in 1. I would highly recommend Boutique Hope.

Pros: great staff, child friendly, incredible clothes

Cons: when they are out of a size or style - sometimes can't reorder

I am a size 6 and there was NOTHING in the store to fit me.
I agree with the person up top-the owner, (who was there) was rude. This store is obviously a way for the owner to get clothes at a discounted rate, and I honestly believe that is the situation. I can almost understand a store owner being rude to teens who come it, but I am a well-dressed, well-established lawyer so I know I wasn't treated poorly based solely on my appearance.
The blonde girl working the register actually apologized to me for the owner's rude behavior before I walked out. The owner flashed her a look like, 'how dare you apologize to her.'
I came in, asked for a size 6 in a dress I was looking at and the owner actually laughed in my face. Can't belive it!!!
The store is like a mini-anthropologie. I would just go there becuase you can get the same lines, and often times the same pieces, but a less-expensive price.
It's places like these that I try not to support.

Pros: Can't think of any

Cons: Rude owner, poor size selection, everything in the store is availble down the street but for less

.

This store has limited selection, limited sizes and an owner that isn't so nice. I'd walk on by to any of the other stores in the area.
