Okay, where do I start. I used to work at this store. First off, their name is ""Captive Born Reptiles"". The fact of the matter is that they import most of their common animals. Ball Pythons, for example, are imported into the store in bags of 20. They are purchased for about 7-10 dollars each, and then the store marks them up to 65-75 dollars. These snakes (eggs) are harvested in Africa ... they are captive HATCHED ... not captive BRED. There is a difference.\r
Secondly, if you go into the back rooms you would puke. Death and decay is everywhere. There are snakes left in their rubbermaids for MONTHS after they have died. The rodent room is a tapestry of cannibilism from lack of water or food ... \r
The business practices at this place were lacking to say the least .... THREE times my paycheck bounced. The owners knowingly sell animals that have a history of not eating to customers and then refuse to give them a refund when the animal dies (because they AREN'T CAPTIVE BORN).\r
Beware, people. That's all I have to say.

I went into ""Captive Born Reptiles"" with my boyfriend very skeptical. From all the terrible reviews we saw we just wondered the whole trip there what the smell is going to be like and how horrible the service was... But we ended up there for over 3 hours talking about the different snake options and we held several of them. It didn't smell bad at all. We got watch over 6 snakes eat. We held a Burmese Python that was over 50 lbs. and the women working and even the owner Terry were so great and helpful. They had so many options and all their reptiles looked very healthy! As soon as we get the money there is no doubt they will be our number one choice for any reptiles. I'm not sure why they got other horrible reviews.
