The children are not always engaged in meaningful activity. The younger children watch a lot of television. Sometimes this is good but this can be seen as 'babysitting.' The older children, those 7 and up, have the least to do. If they don't bring their own activities they sit for hours at a time being bored. In the summer this daycare used to engage the children in many activities including vacation Bible school and outings to local parks. For the past two summers, 2005 and 2006, they've done nothing but sit all day. They can bring water guns on hot days, if pre-planned by staff, and play outside but this is not much. They have a mini bus but because no one has a commercial driver's license, it sits. This could be used to transport the children to some activities. The staff don't consistently use appropriate voice tones with the children. The tones border on yelling and they are very often talking down to the children. Also, personal opinions about other children and/or their parents are said in an open environment instead of in private so that the children and/or their parents don't hear. Overall, it's not a bad daycare but there is a definite need for improvement.

Pros: The cost and size of the facility.

Cons: Lack of activities, staff not consistently professional with voice tones.
