I took my 2003 F-150 Heritage (30,000 miles) in for a factory recall. After I picked up the truck and drove it home, I heard a short time later a scraping noise coming from the driveshaft area. I pulled over and discovered a heat shield laying on the rear axle being brushed by the driveshaft. I placed the shield in the bed of my truck and returned to the dealership. I saw one of their service advisors in the lot. I told him about what I found and showed him the shield he said " You don't need it. It can be run without it" The point was not about needing it... however, it was about doing what was right and repairing it since they damaged it in the first place. Another Ford garage affiliate informed me it was probally knocked off by a support jack.

My family has done a lot of business over many years with Waikem Dealerships. They just lost us as customers. I will not be conducting any future repair business with any of their factory garages based on this incident which clearly demonstrates a clear lacks quality control and or failing to inspect the work they have done and a staff member who viewed my complaint as you don't need it.

This is the second time in eight months my family has been blown off by this dealership. The first time cost them a purchase of 2011 Ford Raptor when a salesman didn't think my daughter was serious about buying the vehicle. She picked up her new Ford Raptor from Downtown Ford in Canton, Ohio. The Downtown Ford staff was just as excited as she was about the vehicle purchase and treated her like a queen.

My family and I have been in Massillon Ohio since 1954 and do our best to serve our customers. My father is extremely active in the community and we always strive for 100% customer satisfaction. Lisa G, I apologize for your bad experience. Please call me at one of our stores, even if you are in Arizona, at 330 478 0281. In regards to the headliner, and door panel, it sounds like you bought a used vehicle. Whenever you shop for a used vehicle you cannot be in a rush. We always offer a warranty on ALL engines and transmissions but the other parts of vehicle cannot be guaranteed. There is too much risk and liability to ensure everything 100% when it's preowned. Remember, we are just a dealer, we do not build the vehicles. Also, when a vehicle has window tint, it is not intended ever to be taken off. We did not put this window tint on. Please contact me at 330 478 0281, I would like to know if you have solved any of your car problems or could use some help. -Craig Waikem

I worked with Darren Sponseller at the Honda store and they were able to give me what I wanted for my trade. They actually didn't take the trade but sold it to another dealer for me. That was nice they actually got more for my trade at their inconvience. We ended up with a Honda Odyssey, brand new. Love it and will recommend all of our friends to Waikem Honda. Patrick was our salesperson and he knew everything about the van.

I bought a 2006 Hyundai Tiberon, a asked about the clutch before I bought it and they told me it was in good shape and the car runs great. well, it did until 28 days down the road... i took it back to Waikem and the clutch, through out bearing, flywheel all needed to be replaced. it cost me $2100 and 10 days to get it fixed. 2 days later on my way home from work my car dies. The alternator stoped working. I took it back to Waikem. The technician didnt plug the alternator back in... but they did plug them in for free. the car runs great now. I had a little trouble in the beginning but I think this car should last me a long time now. Good luck searching for a car! if you want my advise... Dont buy used cars. haha. I learned that the hard way.

THEY BROKE IT, THEY SHOULD FIX IT!!! I've had NOTHING BUT TROUBLE when I bought my Mitsubishi. Besides a bunch of other things, like the sun roof not opening smoothly due to a faulty part (when I bought it I was told that it was just stiff from not being used and would be OK) and the headliner falling out, and the interior door panel sticking so that I couldn't open the driver's door, which they've 'fixed' twice and is still bad, they sold me a car that was illegal in the State of Ohio. The window tint was tooooo dark. I asked them to remove it from the beginning and I was refused. They didn't believe me. (when I was young, fearless and agile many years ago, I was a police officer, so I knew). I should have walked out right then, but I needed a car in a hurry.
When I got the traffic warning from Perry police I immediately drove to Waikem and told them to fix it. They took all of the tint off, alright BUT adhesive was (still is) all over the windows. When I asked about it, I was told to "just scrape it off when the weather gets warmer and it softens" WHAT!!!??? I asked if the rear defroster was intact and worked. Oh yes it's fine. Well it was broken and so was the antenna. They refused to fix it. But they'd be glad to replace it for me for $750 AGAIN WHATT???!!! (although I was charged $125 or so for them to tell me it didn't work which is what I told them???..duh!) I was never given a reason why they would not replace it. They were soo nasty to me when I grew a backbone.
The alternative presented to me to "help get you out from under this car", reportedly direct from Doug Waikem (so NOT impressed), was for me to purchase a new, stripped-down Kia for $100 more a month. Right! I am so disgusted. I would have gone to small claims court but I lost my job and moved to Arizona for a new one. I am equally disgusted with myself for not heeding my gut on this when I thought I was being ripped off. I learned a hurtful and expensive lesson, more businesses are unethical than ever before. They forget that it's partly MY money that pays for those fancy dinners, houses and clothes that the Waikems are so well known for.
