My wife and I have experienced tastings and pairings at a number of fine restaurants and Hugo is among the best. The wine pairings were especially interesting, with limited release wines choicefully paired with our five course meal. While you might not consider Hugo a "bargain," the food quality, atmosphere, service, and exceptional wines make it a great night out.

Mothers Day Brunch, group of 13, 11:00 A.M. reservations.

After placing our orders, we waited 1 hour and 45 minutes before receivingour food.

The waiter was very concerned, but to no avail.

The manager finally came by and offered his regrets.

Many people that came in after us, got their meals and were finished by the time our food came.

I had French Toast, which amounted to 1/2 slice of french toast with strawberry topping (Jam).....unreal for any price, but $13.00.

Manager reduced our bill 1/2, but never again.

My husband and I tried Hugo even after our friends said it wasn't worth the money. It was a weeknight and when we arrived, it was semi busy which is a good sign. We sat down and our server came over and did take our order but when I asked questions, he was clearly bothered. I would almost go as far as stuck up. We ordered the fried greem tomatoes which were gross and I ate the steak which was gross. My husband ate the short ribs which were really good. Being that we eat out at similar restaraunts at least once a week, we both said we would never go back. We will stick with the places that we know is a garunteed great experience for the price. Cincinnati has plenty of options.
