I have had experience with the Anders family for years and I have to agree with Victoria K. I am so sorry you had to have such a horrible experience. Yes Dana is a very rude, stuck up woman. I don't care how good she may be or is supposed to be! Her attitude is evil and ugly, Id rather go to some less experienced woman than Dana anyday of my life. Tony is only marginally nicer than Dana, but not enough to talk about. I have very little respect for the entire family and would not give them a dime of my money ! Stay AWAY from this salon and thier father's salons "Kenneths" !!

Tony Anders already has a fantastic reputation, from his years at Kennith's and in the local media. However, I took it with a grain of salt, when he told me his wife, Dana, was the best colorist in town. More than a year later, after noticing their great color, I asked a couple acquaintances who did their hair. You guessed it - it was Dana. I signed up with Dana and after we agreed on a general direction, I just let her do what she does best. Wow! I've never had so many compliments. I now have people asking me who does my color. In fact, just about every time I've been in the salon, someone has stopped by her chair and thanked her for the fantastic job she did for them too. No, it's not inexpensive - nor is it outrageous, but for the way you'll look, it is WORTH it!

I do not recommend this salon. I was recommended to this salon by a stranger, as I have been searching all over Columbus for a stylist who does balayage. I called in and spoke to Dana (husband of the owner Tony, and one of the senior stylists). She assured me that whether we went with balayage or foils, we could achieve the beachy BLONDE look I was going for.
When I arrived for my appointment (with many many pictures in hand) everything seemed ok. She told me that since my hair has some natural warmth to it, we had better do an all over color and then weave. The overall color was dark, but we were going to highlight it...so I was still optimistic. Then she decided without ever asking me, to only do a partial weave. Still, I trusted her. (Which is my fault..I know)
So by the end, I'm a brunette. The lighting is very odd in there, so I couldn't really tell until I got home how DARK my hair was. And while I'm not opposed to spending a lot of money on my hair, I spent nearly $200 to be a brunette when I wanted to be a blonde.
So a few days later, I called in and spoke to someone. They rescheduled me so Dana could fix it. I got to my appointment (I ran late, and even though I called, Dana didn't have time to fix my hair that day) and we discussed what had happened. Basically I was scolded, and made out to be a indecisive liar. I had explained to her during the color how I was really excited because over the years I had been to many stylists, and no one had quite nailed it yet. So she used that against me, implying that I am never happy and do this to everyone. She also called another sylists over, to look at the pictures I had and what she did, I guess in order to convince me she did nothing wrong? I felt ganged up on. I left crying.
We reschedule for the next week, and I felt so terrible that I wanted to kiss my $200 goodbye, but my mother came with me, to help relieve any tension. Dana played nice, refoiled my hair, and gave me a yellow blonde. Better than before, but still nothing remotely close to my pictures. And in the end, she charged me for the difference between the partial foil and the full.
However, the other stylists there seemed very nice, so maybe there is hope!?
