It has been made clear to me that this jewelers and the people that work for them are flatly dishonest, and seem to be willing to do anything to get to your wallet.

Now granted this is my experience with Farah, but hopefully other prospective jewelery buyers who read this can learn from my unfortunate dealings with them.

A little while back I bought a rather nice ring from the Farah Jewelers at Tuttle Mall, in Dublin OH. When I went in there to first look for the gift I did so not knowing what size it should be. The sales man there and his associates assured me that it would be alright and promised that no matter what and no matter when I could come back to get the ring sized to the correct size and that there would be absolutely no charge for it what so ever. This was very important to me because it was to be a gift for an individual who lived quite a ways away and it would be a while before we could make it in to get it fitted. After expressing this, I was again reassured that it would not matter how long it took, as long as I had the receipt it would be fine.

Then today when I went back to get it sized correctly, receipt in hand, the sales associate that I spoke with was rude, unwilling to work with me, and nearly called me a liar to my face. He told me that they wouldn't honor the promise because the price of gold had gone up since I bought the ring. This didn't quite make sense to me because the ring was too big and needed to be made smaller, which meant that they would actually be taking gold out of the ring. But that didn't matter because before I could argue he went on to tell me that they didn't need to honor the promise any longer because the computer told him that they had already had re-sized the ring to a 7.5 and that I'd have to pay to have it re-sized again. When I tried to tell him that it had never been re-side and there must have been some kind of mistake with his records, he snatched the ring from me and threw it on a measuring rod... It came back at a 6... At this point in time a slew of excuses and accusations came flying out at me. Including the excuse that they no longer needed to honor their agreement because the person who sold me the ring no longer worked there, and ending with the sales man accusing me of having the ring re-sized at a different jewelers.

At that point in time it became very evident to me that what I had thought was a reparable family jewelers, who were willing to go the extra step for their clients, was in fact nothing greater than a den of forked tongued, two faced liars, who were only willing to put on the facade of going the extra step in order to insure that they could get their cloven hooves around your cash.

I highly discourage anyone for doing business with these people. They clearly have only the bottom line in mind and will lie cheat and steal to get to it. If you are in the market for any type of jewelery it would be in your best interest to shop at other locations. Farah Jewelers and the people that they employ are at best below ethical and have completely lost my confidence and my commerce.

I hope that anyone out there who was considering buying from Farah, will think better of it now, and save themselves the hassle, frustration, and aggravation which I had to experience today.
