My daugter and her husband were married at Canterbury Chapel and we were very satified. They clearly let you know
that the photography will only be done by the photograher
connected with the chapel. You may take all the pictures you
want outside the church. The photographer has been in busines for many years and is well know. We were pleased
with their work since our children had their hight school pictures taken by them. So we were very comfortable with them taking these most important pictures. They came out beautifully and they even came to our daughter and son in laws
wedding supper at Mulligans and took many more pictures.
I was surprised to see someone complaining. This couple does a very professional service to couples wanting a small
intimate wedding. I would recommend them to anyone

Business Response:

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! It is an amazing place. We purchased the Canterbury back in March of 2011. We have renovated it and continue to rent it out for weddings, receptions and meetings. As far as the photographer and other services, we encourage you to use whoever you are most comfortable with :)

My husband and I were recently married at the Canterbury. We were extremely disappointed with how we were treated and our families. They did not allow our family members to take photographs with their own cameras because the husband and wife that run the canterbury also own their own photography studio. The wife made my nephew cry for knocking a shelf off the wall that was hung up by two little nails. She berated him like a child which was unnesscary. The photographs that were taken from the wedding were of poor quality and over-priced. Then when my husband and I only ordered a few pictures, the husband treated us with disgust for not ordering more. Save your money and go somewhere else, we wish we would've.

More about Canterbury Chapel

Let the beautiful Canterbury be the venue for your small gatherings and celebrations. This historical building, built in 1890, has a very simple and elegant beauty that requires very little preparation for your small event (no more than 45-50 people for maximum comfort, dependant upon event). In addition to the provided tables and chairs, there is a full size, working kitchen for you or your caterer. You are welcome to use your own photographer, caterer and officiator. The Canterbury was most previously known as the Canterbury Chapel for several years. It was originally built as a Dunkard Brethren Church over 100 years ago.
