I went there for a quick oil change....and the rep (Jeremy) first tried to oversell me for the high mileage oil change, which i fell for..\n\nAfter their routine general inspection, he tells me that the car requires a new air filter, coolant flush, brake system flush and transmission flush..all totaling to $344.00!!!\n\nI went online and to other mechanic stores to research and inquire about these ridiculous ""flushes"" that were suggested...and they all said that a transmission flush on an old car like mine would do more harm than not having one..\n\ni should only take concern if i had problems in transmission/gear change and a regular top-off would do the job...which i have been doing when the time comes..\n\nfor the coolant and brake, I suspect it was the same case, as i was not experiencing any problems and I can probably do it myself...\n\nThe fact that this Jeremy dude is fooling customers to get more money out of them...is extremely pathetic and unprofessional, apart from the constant bad-mouthing about other service providers...\n\nthis place is sure to be avoided as the guys are highly untrustworthy and will suggest you services that will drain out your pocket and probably damage your car further!!!

I will never go to Michel Tire again.\r\n\r\nI purchased a tire there in May of 2006, and it blew out in January of 2007. I was under the 40,000 mile guarantee, and I had purchased the extra Road Hazard warrantee. I figured I would be in good shape, so I called to see how long it would take to fix the tire, and I was promised 30 minutes.\r\n\r\nI brought the car in with the damaged tire, and was told it shouldn't take long. One hour later, I realized they hadn't even asked for my key. I gave my key to the guy at the counter, and he just gave me a ""whoops"" face and told me it would be another 30 minutes. \r\n\r\nAfter another hour went by (I had been there 2 hours now), I could see that my car wasn't even in the garage yet. I got the manager and told him I was promised 30 minutes, and wanted to know what was wrong. He said they were just busy and would get the car in very soon. They got the car into the garage, and immediately realized that they didn't have the tire that I needed. The manager told me that they would have to drive to another store to get the tire and come back, but that I would be good to go in 30 minutes (catching the theme here?)\r\n\r\nAnother hour passes while I wait in their lobby, growing more and more frustrated. The manager offers me a free oil change, which I accept begrudgingly. He tells me everything is now fixed, and I owe him $55. ""For what??"" I ask, ""I paid for the extra warranty!"" He gives me some convoluted reason about how it would have been much more expensive. I told him to deduct the value of the oil change from the bill, because I would not be coming back.\r\n\r\nHe called back today offering me a free alignment for my troubles. Bear in mind, an alignment comes free with a new tire. I told him I was insulted that he would offer me something that should already be free, and that I would never be going back to Michel Tire. \r\n\r\nIf they wanted to keep my business, there's no way I should have had to pay for that experience.

Pros: Close to where I work

Cons: Horrible service, warrantee doesn't actually cover you, lack of communication, below-average waiting facilities
