Lifetime Fitness is Corrupt, Greedy & does not care a bout it's clients

by lee m.

Identity theft employees have unlimited access to all of your information address, phone social plus they have you give them access to your bank account so they can proceed to deduct funds from your account even after you cancel your membership. Overcrowded with a rude , uncaring, inexperienced staff and they keep upcharging & raising their dues in order to continue to show a profit to their investors, Pretty on the outside but ugly on the inside.Save your money& just say no to Lifetime Fitness Cary NC let's reward those local companies who value their clientele not those like Lifetime who exploit them.

Lifetime Fitness is Good... could be Better

by R C.

Great facility. Family oriented! Good summer camps but inconvenient pick-up. Wish they would do express check-out. Finding a parking space in the late afternoons is difficult. Front desk and management are not customer focus. I agree with previous comments that you are made to feel like they just want your premiums. Premiums keep going up and benefits/convenience down. Nowadays, I hardly get to use the gym for personal use; I just take the kids for activities. I wish they had a children's only membership. I like the gym but I must admit at these prices I reconsider every month staying or leaving.

Lifetime Fitness is PRETTY OUTSIDE UGLY ONTHE INSIDE

by Mel B.

Terrible Gym if you like quality people and like to be treated like a valued customer (YOU SURE ARE PAYING ENOUGH TO MERIT BEING TREATED LIKE ROYALTY) poor/ non-existent management allows harassment (verbal & sexual) of their clients & staff) they hire immature children posing as adults to act as trainers and department heads if you value your hard-earned money and your self esteem,go elsewhere or you will end up regretting it while paying premiums which increase Quarterly

Lifetime Fitness is great for Track Out

by Michelle D. | insider Insider | Rank: 13,098

This place is a family destination! We love it and it delivered on everything we "bought". The track out camps are fabulous. We get our money's worth for those alone - but we are there 2-3 times a week on top of that!

Great Facility, Terrible Management

by Doug D.

We had around 20 people move from one club to Lifetime two years ago when they opened. The group of executives had been playing basketball together at lunch for several years. Most moved just for their basketball facilities. We were promised two basketball courts 24 hrs a day. After the first few months, we were told kid camps would have priority and for us to get over it. We were given one court for an hour and a half and the other court for an hour 3 days a week. We worked around the clubs schedule for the past year and a half. Today we were told that summer camps start in two weeks and we will only have one court for one hour, one day a week. Our group has grown to over 50 players who have now been told our memberships don't matter. Priority goes to camps over regular yearly members. Did I mention they are also raising ours dues effective next month, while taking away the services we were already paying for.

Member for Life

by Thomas N.

Love that it is 24 hours because I am in there at 3 or 4 o'clock in the mornings. The facility has everything you could ask for in a fitness center. The plus for me is the steam room/sauna and shower area. The second plus is you are not required to sign a contract which means that they work hard to provide you with what you need to keep you coming back.

great facility

by sam w.

Pluses - great equipment and tons of it - Smith, Precor, etc. Great shower, steam, sauna, pool. True 24 hour. Minuses - no floor staff, only pay-for trainers (or I would give it 5 stars), crowds during some peak hours, although I do not notice a real problem outside of the typical January resolution crowd. I normally work out at off times, and being a true 24 hour makes the crowds a non-issue. It is so large it is not the social atmosphere I had at the YMCA, but the tradeoff is worth it. No less than 25 of the regular morning crowd I knew from the YMCA has move to Lifetime. All I have spoken to love it.

OVERPRICED UNIMPRESSED

by R G.

Lifetime Fitness is a huge facility with every conceivable fitness device imaginable BUT customer service is poor & unless you are willing to pay $100/hr for personal training in addition to your monthly dues $ 70/mo & up don't expect to get assistance on the gym floor. They push their advisers to sign up as many people as possible and they push their trainers to sell every second of their time! Good for the company but bad for the trainers ( high burn out rates) and for the consumer who might need a little assistance from time to time. They also don't tell you when they sign you up that they can & WILL close your pools, yoga studios, climbing walls, gym & racquetball courts regularly to host parties or day camp which they get paid an exorbitant fee for and also closed for social events on every holiday... oh and lest I forget they host an open house every weekend making it impossible to enjoy a workout on the weekend as the place is even more crowded than usual. To sum it up if you don't care about any of the above problems (price, overcrowding, closures of facilities that you've already paid for,bad service, inattentive staff) then you'll probably like it as for me I'm going back to my old gym where people go not to see and be seen but to work out and get fit!

Lifetime Fitness is incredible! It is almost like a mini resort and it is a place for the whole family!!

They have amazing pools and child care. There are so many cardio machines that you can always find the one you want and much, much more!
