Listen to what these reviews say! Keep looking and do not spend your money at this gym. All they care about is their pocket book and NOT YOUR HEALTH! What happen to all the good employees? Where did they go? I use to be a member, but every time I turned around they had new employees who did not know what was going on. The Child Center is the worst. If you love your kids do not leave them in their care. Their camps use to be good, but use it with caution. Swim instructors need more training too before they try to teach your child how to swim. Everything is disorgainized and no knows what's going on. The equipment is needs to be updated. They keep raising membership and I'd like to know what they are spending the money on. Their events are now horrible with little effort put into them. They can not keep employees so you are not paying for their expertise. KEEP LOOKING! There are other places to spend your time and money.

I have never complained in my life! Especially on the web but I can not let this place get away with how they treat people! I thought I was the only one then after research seems to be a pattern!! The people are very rude!!!!! They act like they hate their job! I know it is an amazing place but one day something better will come along and they will lose everyone due to their horrible customer service! I dont expect brown nosing I would just like a little honesty when i sign up and then what they did to my daughter(14) mind you!!!! I dont want to give details but it waa unbelievable so bad her best friends who.e family terminated their membership and honestly dont know why i waited a year to end mine then when i did what a mess the girl never ended my membership she down graded it so i was charged 4 more months before I noticed it!! And to top it off the daycare!! Is that legal to have so many kids and that many workers?? I have seen many kids being hit , ignored and free to do whatever they want while the workers just sit and gossip!! Again a beautiful place but not worth it!!!

I am a stay at home Mom. I have a 2 year old son. I joined this gym about 6 months ago, and just recently cancelled. The facility is incredible. They have great classes. However, the most of the staff are very unwelcoming and rude. They treat you like you are "lucky to be there." I think they forget that you are paying to be a part of the gym. I would recommend another family to sign up somewhere else. Join a gym where they are pleasant, and appreciate your business. I don't think Lifetime does.

All these horrible reviews? Check your attitude, Caryites! Seriously, people expect too much!

This is a great club! Gorgeous facility, family oriented and I've never had a problem with anything. My requests are given attention and my kids love to go there.

When I smile and act nice, the staff are ALWAYS friendly and will engage in conversation and offer help.

I say, you get out what you put in any interaction.

Yes, it's expensive, but look at what you get!! Well worth it for me, and we don't have a large bankroll.

Beautiful facility ... the beauty ends there! All that Lifetime is interested in is MONEY. They are dishonest and will tell you anything to get you join. They told me that during peak hours there was no problem finding a free machine. Not true! Check it out, drive in during peak hours and you'll be hard-pressed to even find a parking spot! That gives you an idea of what it's like inside. The sales people are worse than used car salesmen ... please don't believe anything they say. No one is there cares about improving your fitness or health ... they are simply there to make money. Staff is rude and unprofessional and the whole place has an impersonal atmosphere. When I canceled my membership, I complained about the over-crowded facility and the girl told me they know and they are planning to build a larger facility ... heaven help us! Save yourself the aggravation and join any other club in Cary ... I belong to a great place now.

I worked there in the childcare facility and let me tell you---HORRIBLE place to work!!! I've worked in various childcare facilities previously and have NEVER seen anything like this. I should report them and most likely will for various reasons...one of them being...because their ratios should be 12:1 in the toddler room, yet there were 16 kids and not ONE adult was in the room. While asking one of the supervising employees if I needed to be in there she just rolled her eyes and said "Well we're right here" -standing outside of the room of pure CHAOS! There is no structure and no one seems to care. Children will be crying and they will rarely attend to the child. PLUS- there because of no structure, the kids are overstimulated in a loud unorganized environment! Please...Parents- I worked there. DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN INTO THE CHILDCARE FACILITY. That place should be shut down!

I have to admit Lifetime has a large facility with many options, however, to say they lack customer service is an understatement. I have seen the manager smile at one patron and turn her head to scowl at another in the same breath. I can only say their facility does not justify their boorish behavior.

I love Lifetime!!!! I have been a member there since the doors opened. Like every gym/business it has had its ups and downs but I get too great of a workout to let small things get in my way. The classes at Lifetime are hands down the best around. I've never been challenged by group fitness classes until I became a member at Lifetime. I tried some classes at the new Holly Springs YMCA - what a joke!!! Unlike other posters I do see that most people that come to Lifetime come to work. Just because you see them downstairs at the coffee shop or bringing in their kids to the pool doesn't account for the fact that they may have been upstairs for 2 hours getting their butts kicked in cycle and total conditioning.

Identity theft employees have unlimited access to all of your information address, phone social plus they have you give them access to your bank account so they can proceed to deduct funds from your account even after you cancel your membership. Overcrowded with a rude , uncaring, inexperienced staff and they keep upcharging & raising their dues in order to continue to show a profit to their investors, Pretty on the outside but ugly on the inside.Save your money& just say no to Lifetime Fitness Cary NC let's reward those local companies who value their clientele not those like Lifetime who exploit them.

Great facility. Family oriented! Good summer camps but inconvenient pick-up. Wish they would do express check-out. Finding a parking space in the late afternoons is difficult. Front desk and management are not customer focus. I agree with previous comments that you are made to feel like they just want your premiums. Premiums keep going up and benefits/convenience down. Nowadays, I hardly get to use the gym for personal use; I just take the kids for activities. I wish they had a children's only membership. I like the gym but I must admit at these prices I reconsider every month staying or leaving.

Terrible Gym if you like quality people and like to be treated like a valued customer (YOU SURE ARE PAYING ENOUGH TO MERIT BEING TREATED LIKE ROYALTY) poor/ non-existent management allows harassment (verbal & sexual) of their clients & staff) they hire immature children posing as adults to act as trainers and department heads if you value your hard-earned money and your self esteem,go elsewhere or you will end up regretting it while paying premiums which increase Quarterly

This place is a family destination! We love it and it delivered on everything we "bought". The track out camps are fabulous. We get our money's worth for those alone - but we are there 2-3 times a week on top of that!

We had around 20 people move from one club to Lifetime two years ago when they opened. The group of executives had been playing basketball together at lunch for several years. Most moved just for their basketball facilities. We were promised two basketball courts 24 hrs a day. After the first few months, we were told kid camps would have priority and for us to get over it. We were given one court for an hour and a half and the other court for an hour 3 days a week. We worked around the clubs schedule for the past year and a half. Today we were told that summer camps start in two weeks and we will only have one court for one hour, one day a week. Our group has grown to over 50 players who have now been told our memberships don't matter. Priority goes to camps over regular yearly members. Did I mention they are also raising ours dues effective next month, while taking away the services we were already paying for.

Love that it is 24 hours because I am in there at 3 or 4 o'clock in the mornings. The facility has everything you could ask for in a fitness center. The plus for me is the steam room/sauna and shower area. The second plus is you are not required to sign a contract which means that they work hard to provide you with what you need to keep you coming back.

Pluses - great equipment and tons of it - Smith, Precor, etc. Great shower, steam, sauna, pool. True 24 hour. Minuses - no floor staff, only pay-for trainers (or I would give it 5 stars), crowds during some peak hours, although I do not notice a real problem outside of the typical January resolution crowd. I normally work out at off times, and being a true 24 hour makes the crowds a non-issue. It is so large it is not the social atmosphere I had at the YMCA, but the tradeoff is worth it. No less than 25 of the regular morning crowd I knew from the YMCA has move to Lifetime. All I have spoken to love it.

Lifetime Fitness is a huge facility with every conceivable fitness device imaginable BUT customer service is poor & unless you are willing to pay $100/hr for personal training in addition to your monthly dues $ 70/mo & up don't expect to get assistance on the gym floor. They push their advisers to sign up as many people as possible and they push their trainers to sell every second of their time! Good for the company but bad for the trainers ( high burn out rates) and for the consumer who might need a little assistance from time to time. They also don't tell you when they sign you up that they can & WILL close your pools, yoga studios, climbing walls, gym & racquetball courts regularly to host parties or day camp which they get paid an exorbitant fee for and also closed for social events on every holiday... oh and lest I forget they host an open house every weekend making it impossible to enjoy a workout on the weekend as the place is even more crowded than usual. To sum it up if you don't care about any of the above problems (price, overcrowding, closures of facilities that you've already paid for,bad service, inattentive staff) then you'll probably like it as for me I'm going back to my old gym where people go not to see and be seen but to work out and get fit!
