I, too have had a great experience with DDL. My puppy has only been to day care there a few times, and she is already excited to go in once we get there. You can tell that the people working there are very loving and dedicated. They even have web cams so you can see your doggie playing with the other pooches. I will definitely keep taking my Dane puppy there. They provide rest periods after mealtime to decrease risk of bloat, which is reassuring to me. When interacting with the staff, they are consistently approachable, helpful, and professional. Thank you DDL!

So why the great review? Because Downtown Dog Lounge did everything they could to try and make our Truman (Great Dane) comfortable. The people working here are truly dog lovers. They are in constant cleaning motion while talking and petting the animals. Our dog was very stressed and we tried several times to visit and calm him down before a long weekend stay. During that time we were able to observe the employees in constant motion caring for, and cleaning up after the dogs. They talked to Truman and put him in a pen by himself with his bed. We left him for the long weekend and were encouraged to call. Everyone who we talked to gave us honest yet concerned updates. After the second day, our Truman had not eaten and we received a message from Downtown Dog Lounge. They had tried "doctoring" his food and found he still wasn't interested. They did have a vet ready to check him if he went much longer without eating. We were unhappy that Truman was not happy. But we were comfortable he was being well cared for. We would highly recommend this place for your pooch, if your dog is young, playful and well socialized. The people are great.

I have been going to the Downtown Dog Lounge on Elliott for about 6 months now and I LOVE IT! I previously tried other daycare facilities in the area but they didn't come close to the service I have received at DDL. I recommend this place to everyone I know.

We toured the facility during a recent fund raising event. It was well-kept, spacious, and offered a lot of activities for the dogs. The staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable.

Our recent experience at the Downtown Dog Lounge was horrible. We returned from our relaxing vacation to find our normally happy, healthy pug sick and injured. I'm concerned for the safety of other animals left in their care. When we picked our dog up, we were told nothing of the events that happened (illness, vet visits, medicine administered) while we were away. We later learned about them from our emergency contact. Our personal vet told us our dog had experienced trauma to his head, which the staff at DDL has not been able to explain. He has not been the same since we've brought him home from the Downtown Dog Lounge. If you love your animal, don't entrust them to the care of Downtown Dog Lounge. They are unable to deliver on their promises of "peace of mind" and "well being for your four legged friend".

The Downtown Dog Lounge is a disgusting facility. They have no padding on the floors and they clean up with bleach and other harsh chemicals in daycare. As a result the dogs are constantly rolling around in there own urine mixed with

A close friend of mine, who I ironically met in our first puppy class recommeded DDL to us. Initially, we brought our goldendoodle, Parker for day care as a puppy. I love that they offer half day rates, because what he and I really needed

I got my first puppy and didn't want to leave it at home all day, but I was so nervous about daycare. I thought I would just try....I take my dog 5-6 days a week now! I even take him for half days on one of my days off because he has so much fun! When I say, "Want to go see your friends?", he knows where we are going and starts to pull on the leash.
I don't have a big budget but am able to afford the DDL because of their reasonable rates. Half a day (5 hours or less) is only $20. My dog walker charged $33/hour!
Everyday the staff tells me how my dog played. They even point out his best friends! You can bring your own dog food for lunch, or they will provide some.
I have complete peace of mind when my puppy is at DDL. Because of the large staff, I know that they would notice if something were wrong with my pup, and that they would contact me immediately. i know they are careful about the dogs they allow to stay there, and they monitor to make sure your dog is in the appropriate play group.
I recommend the DDL absolutely without any reservations.
