it's been 10 years since I started coming to this practice to see Dr. Jackson. My appointments are always on time and I feel that this is a very efficient practice as well. I never had any problems with them getting my prescription right

I think you get what you pay for at this place! I remember my wife receiving all kinds of compliments on these CRAZY glasses she bought from this place, evertime we went out people would walk up to her and just talk.... I told her those glasses are your own paparrizzi. Anyhow, they are well trained at what they do, I recently went in for an exam and the woman that helped me took her time and explained every detail to why i would even spend my hard earned cash.... Well,
I picked the glasses up and...well..let's just say Now I am the BOMB!!! These guys are great and the downtown store has its own vibe, thanks Jodi.....

This place is like a flash back in time. The customer service and personal care is something you just don't find anymore. Dr. Johnson took time to listen to my complaints about the contacts I got from my old doctor. Then he changed my prescription and brand of contacts. I didn't realize my vision had been so fuzzy. Love my new contacts! When I was finished with my exam I told them I'm a cheap skate when it comes to contacts. You know what they did? They signed me up on their online service. I didn't have to try to figure out how to enter my prescription or anything. I just logged on and purchased my contacts. AND the prices are cheaper than 1800contacts that I'd been using! If you wear contacts you should make the switch to Artisan Optics. They are #1 with contacts.

I recently had bladeless lasik with Artisan Optics. I'm so HAPPY! What an amazing experience from start to finish. I went to several places for those free consultations but I really didn't feel comfortable until I was at Artisan Optics. I chose them because they explained everything to me in detail and in a way that made it super easy for me to understand what was going to happen. Plus I didn't want a blade cutting my eyes. I wanted to have bladeless lasik, another reason I chose Artisan Optics. The doctors here are amazing. Dr. Johnson was so great during my exam before surgery. He is so nice! His assistant Angel had lasik a few years ago. Between the two of them they answered all of my questions and when I left I really felt good about understanding the whole process. The day of surgery I started to get a little nervous again. But the surgeon Dr. Leach is so calm and reassuring. As soon as I met him I knew he would take good care of me. I was so surprised to find a place where the doctors and the entire staff really care. That's why I'm telling everybody I know about Artisan Optics.

I have been a contact lens wearer for many years and could not figure out why they made my eyes feel so bad. I thought my doctor was making a mistake and found out that he was which is why I switched over to Artisan Optics. Dr. Johnson put me into the correct contact lenses and told me how to properly take care of them. This made all the difference in the world. He also told me that even contact lens wearers need glasses which I had never heard before but it's true. It's nice to give my eyes a break on the weekends and wear my glasses instead of my contacts. Also I got an eye infection and because I listened to Artisan Optics and got glasses I was able to wear my glasses and drive in to see them so they could help me out. So anyone who wears contacts: get glasses too! You never know when you are going to need them and if you already have them when something unexpected goes down you will be very thankful.

This place is great with insurance! When I went in for my appointment they had all of my VSP information ready and waiting for me. I didn't realize I had such great insurance. I saved so much money. I only had to pay my part and VSP paid the rest. And I had my brand new glasses in about a week. So easy - check this place out.

I have been going to Artisan Optics for many years now and I have never been disappointed. Every time I go to Artisan Optics I am greeted with an extremely warm and friendly staff making the environment a very pleasant one to be in. Every member of the Artisan Optics staff is very knowledgeable and they are able to answer every question that I have, there is not a weak link. The service is outstanding, Dr. Johnson is outstanding, and the frame selection is outstanding. Whenever I am there I am treated very well and they always give me their undivided attention. Dr. Johnson is the nicest doctor I have ever had! He is a fantastic optometrist and he is great with kids! I get compliments on my glasses all the time. I recommend Artisan Optics to all of my friends and family and will not go anywhere else because I love them so much!!

Extremly overpriced, pushy sales people, customer service is very non-responsive once they learn you are not interested in purchasing glasses.

I was contacted no less than 4 times in 2 weeks in an effort to get me back in for an eye exam.

I discovered that Lens Crafters is a much better value with a much larger selection of designer eye glasses like Chenel, Ann Klien, Dolce and Gabbana, Prada, polo, burberry, oakley ect...

I am all for supporting local businesses, but not when the service is so poor.

They try to be cool and sell over priced frames, but the ones I got are very uncomfortable. Even though they seemed fine when trying one, with actual lenses and some time in real world use, they are pretty bad. And the staff seem baffled that this could be. Apparently they don't take returns on the lenses and charge 20% restocking fee on frames. Lenscrafter provides as good of service and reasonable product and a 30 day return.
