Lorenzo's Kucina is the absolute best Italian restraunt I have ever eaten at. The food was incredible. I ordered the fried calamari for an appetizer. Mmmmmm! It was so lightly battered and tasted fresh. For my meal, I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. Although this dish is simple, I couldn't have asked for a better portion size and flavor. You could tell there was nothing like it before. The meatballs and bread( I asked Lorenzo) were all homemade and well seasoned. For dessert, I had a cannoli. The creamy filling inside the cannoli shell was delicious. Even though I ordered all this food it was well priced. The staff was friendly and seemed to care for me. I hope you and your family can have the same great experience at Lorenzo's Kucina, it's the BEST!

Lorenzo's has great food, the one thing i must say though, make sure lorenzo is there when you go... it seems he oversees his employees and when he is not there food doesnt tend to be as good...The chicken lemon is unbelievable... his pizza is the best in town...

Lorenzo's Kucina must have got their act together between June and October, because the experiences my friends and I have had since then have been only positive and the food is wonderful. Their heros (New York for "subs") are very good and their pizza is a real treat, especially any that includes sausage. One of my friends had a chicken dish and was in heaven. Please note that we are native New Yorkers transplanted to Ocala and we know what good Italian food is supposed to taste like--Lorenzo's Kucina hits the mark perfectly.

We ordered a medium and small pizza. The waiter seemed miffed that we only ordered pizza. The pizza was cold when he brought it to us. We felt liked we were rushed to eat so they could get more people in. We will never go back. A terrible experience. Prices were high. They charged us $2.50 extra for thin crust on our pizza. We have had much better tasting food at a lot of other Italian restaurants. My recommendation is to eat else where.

Newly opened Friday, June 27th, 2008 in Friendship Center (old Mason Jar location) this freshly-opened italian resturant still needs to mature experiencing some growing pains. Seated inside the small dining room, with freshly painted walls (some poorly done) was a rude experience as the wait staff shouted back and forth at each other, and at the ktchen staff yelling about where things were, food orders, etc. . The door to the kitchen was left open for all to hear what went on, but inside someone was POUNDING chicken (with a mallet) atop a stainless steel table with harsh monateny. Even after the door was closed, and the individual moved, then the door continued to bang every time someone walked through it!

The warm homemade bread was wonderful, even if a waitress mistakenly took my bread dish away to soon. My order of Vegtables served with angel-hair pasta Alfreato was very good, not overly seasoned, but borderline bland. My wife's order of a turkey wrap was plain, tasteless hospital food. Food Presentation leaves much to be desired and they'll have to work on visual presentation. Portions were adequite, price very good with lunch coming to $17.31. Friends have told us the subs "are to die for," and in "Lorenzo's," defense - what I observed coming out of the back room looked very good. I'd try it again, everyone goes through growing pains, let's hope they can clean up their act.
