I am committed to this preschool. I had not idea I wanted a co-op experience when my older son was starting preschool, but after a failed first try with one in a Elementary school, I found the BOCP and when I saw that it had a nursery to help me with my then 18 month old when I was on duty - I couldn't see a reason to not try it. My son played during his tour (after 3 days in his first school not doing a thing) and while he went through many rounds of separation issues, by the time he started Kindergarten he walked in happily and never looked back! He still loves to go back to Open Houses for his little brother's experience at BOCP and show Teacher Nancy all the things he's capable of now. This school is a part of my family now!
Our child is in her second year at this preschool. We toured at least a dozen preschools in Bellevue and Redmond with different curriculums and approached. We're very happy with a play-based, cooperative approach. Being a coop allows us to be a part of our child's early education. We we were surprised how few schools allow kids to learn in the manner that is most naturally suited to them: through play. My child loves school and is excited to explore what each day will bring. We've also enjoyed watching her thrive socially.
