Dr. Michael Feiz graduated with Highest Honors from UCLA where he completed a Bachelors of Science degree in Neuroscience and simultaneously conducted research towards a Masters thesis in Biochemistry. Dr. Feiz received his Medical Degree from New York Medical College, with Honors. He completed his internship and residency in Surgery at the world famous Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center. He continued sub-specialty Fellowship training at Cedars Sinai Medical Center where he received specialized training in Minimally Invasive and Weight Loss Surgery. He has mastered the skills to perform advanced and complex laparoscopic procedures including: Hiatal Hernia repair, Nissen Fundoplication, Laparoscopic Gallbladder Surgeries including Common Bile Duct Exploration, Colectomies, Laparoscopic Inguinal and Ventral Hernia Repair. Although he is an expert in the above listed Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeries, he has developed a special interest in providing Comprehensive Surgical Weight Loss solutions for patients struggling with being overweight. His program combines Nutritional guidance from a registered Dietitian coupled with Emotional and Psychological Support lead by a certified Psychologist specializing in weight loss. Dr. Feiz performs: Laparoscopic Roux en Y Gastric Bypass, Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding as well as Sleeve Gastrectomy as surgical options for weight loss surgeries He recently was appointed Assistant Professor of Surgery at the USC Keck School of Medicine in the Department of Surgery.

Dr. Michael Feiz is an amazing doctor. My original consultation with him was over 1 year ago. I had some anxiety going into the consultation but my mind was immediately put at ease once we started discussing weight loss options. I opted for the Gastric bypass surgery. I had my surgery one month ago and Dr. Feiz was with me every step of the way, from insurance approval to post-op. He is always available to his patients for any questions and has always said that he is your doctor for life. I've never met a Dr. with such compassion for his patients and passion for what he does. I am truly thankful for having such a wonderful surgeon.

Dr. Feiz is the best doctor I have ever met. He is very pleasant and approachable. He explained the Lap-Band procedure and worked diligently for my Insurance approval and surgery date. He stayed in contact with me on a daily basis and has always been reachable on the phone to answer my questions. Dr. Feiz preformed my Lap-Band surgery 04/18/2007 and so far I have lost 108LBS. I recommend him to anyone who is seriously considering weight loss surgery.
