I went there for lunch during the week and it was not even that busy. We had a table of 4 and the waitress seemed competent until we had to pay. I told her to split the check, not once but twice. When she came back the check was not split. I asked her to go back and fix it, and SHE SAID NO! Finally when the I got another waitress to help the incompetent waitress to fix my check I filled it out and left. Later on that evening I checked my bank account, and boy was I pissed. Not only did she charge me double what my actual check was, but she did it TWICE. My actual bill was $21.49 and INDIGMA CHARGED ME $110.50 ! I thought I could call and fix this issue, but no the manager (when he found time convenient for his dumb ass to call me) hung up on me and did not even fix this huge over-charge. This restaurant humiliates the entire Indian culture as a whole.

This was the third time we gave this restaurant a chance. The last time we were there, their waiter dropped a glassful of water on a perosn in our party and there were no apologies or even a comped soda. This time, it took them a good amount of time to seat us and then an hour till our order was taken. We found out the manager/owner is also the bartender and order taker. The reason he couldn't seat us right away even though 75% of the restaurant was empty was that he was making martinis. The ONE person they had working the floor did not understand any English. Then, they brought us the wrong dish. Our chai tasted horrible and trust me, I am Indian and make chai at home, so I know how hard it is to mess that up. The entrees came out lukewarm and the seekh kobab was downright cold. The lychee creme brulee had burnt sugar instead of caramelized. Overall, it was probably the worst dining experience we've had in years.

When someone says a restaurant is all bad, you have to take it with pinch of salt. It goes same with Indigma's case because I have eaten there many many times. As you know any business can have great days and some bad days. How do i know that becasue I run several businesses myself.
This place is a wonderfully run business with lots of care. Their food is certainlly way up avarage. During my visits I never had any complaints so were my friends.
Their 3 course dinner is way below $20.00 and their buffet with
24 items (all you can eat !) cheaper than most Indian restaurants on Charles street corridor. Wednesday night is my favorate night with half price wines. A beautiful dining room with friendly service and great price, I definitly recommend Indigma to anyone.

The good:
Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and fairly efficient.

The bad:
The food was ok at best and the fire exit door which was right next to us kept opening exposing us to the cold (it did not close automatically). There was a sign outside that said to please use the main entrance but evidently no one paid attention to it.

The ugly:
We had just begun to have a friendly conversation at our table and had barely finished our desert when we were asked to leave because there were 6 people waiting for our table. There were empty tables all around us and when my wife politely questioned a gentleman, who I believe was the manager, he responded with anger saying that because of us he lost their business. I've eaten in restaurants all over the country and have never been asked to leave before even after sitting at the table for an hour or more after the meal was finished. If you add to that the fact that there were available tables all around made me think that someone does not know how to manage a restaurant.

Bottom line:
I won't go back.

I found out about this restaurant from restaurant.com and all the info about Indigma listed on restaurant.com is incorrect. Their food is listed as inexpensive, it is very expensive compared to other indian restaurants. None of the menu items they claim to be famous for were available. That's the only reason we went their that they claimed they serve those foods. We ordered only three menu items and that cost us almost $60. The amount given was very cheap. 4-6 pieces of small meat with barely 1/2 cup of rice per menu that cost $16. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Not going back ever again. I felt like I was cheated, I would have tried Ludmila instead if they did not claim to be famous for these and that.

Indigma is one of the best indian restaurant you will ever eat in. It is a nice cozy place but the best part of the restaurant (as it should be) is the exotic creations of the chef. Don'f forget to try the desert (amazing rasmalai)

This is definitely my favorite restaurant in Baltimore! Each time I visit
Indigma, I am impressed by exotic, rich and innovative flavors created by Indigma's chef(s). The place is stylish, the waiters very friendly and attentive, but above all, the food is amazing and each dish prepared with extraordinary care. Every item on the menu is so interesting that is always very hard for me to make a single choice. A unique experience for all your senses!

I often go to this place for Friday lunch buffets. This place has a unique made-to-order buffet style - you can pick items from the menu and it would be prepared (like a la carte) but each item is about $2 and comes in small portions so you choose multiple from the list. The food quality is great and nice ambience too. Definitely worth trying...

The most unique food experience in a long time!! The food was exquisite!! Tried a shrimp creamy dish that was unbelievably heavenly. They do things a little different - like the saag paneer wtih 3 cheeses. And the lunch Thaali like Tapas are tailormade and affordable. Trendy - but also have some traditional. Settings very classy. A MUST TRY.
