This is absolutely the worst vet office I have ever encountered. On the telephone, I was told that it would be no problem to get the piece of glass out of my dog's foot, that the office wouldn't even charge and the techs could help me. I was also told there would be no waiting time. My dog and I waited an hour to see the vet. During that time, the techs told me it was not their job to help hold down the dog and take out the piece of glass, that the doctor would need to do that. They had the personalities of fried tofu and seemed to be extraordinarily meek and greasy, not the sort of people you might be expecting to handle dogs. I waited for the doctor who refused to allow me to be in the office at the same time as my dog during the examination. She took my dog, who is ordinarily very uncomfortable with and frightened of strangers, into another room. I have no idea what happened in that room, but they returned with her telling me that there was nothing in my dog's foot and then suggested about $500 of tests to figure out what could be wrong with him. She listed a possible broken leg requiring x-rays and other means to get money. I had seen the piece of glass in his foot, but could not pull it out and hold him down at the same time. I had an appointment with my regular vet the following morning and wouldn't you know, but he pulled out the piece of glass with the assistance of his wonderful tech within about 15 minutes of our arrival. No ridiculous waiting! No fake diagnoses or unnecessary tests in order to reap in funds! When I phoned the NYC Veterinary Specialists to let them know that my vet had pulled out the piece of glass for which they had charged me over $180 not to even find, they told me a whole bunch of hoopla, including that they couldn't have me in the room with my dog because their insurance policy didn't cover it and that they couldn't refund me for having incompetent staff and not doing their job right the first time. I would highly recommend that you not go to this office if you have any care for your pet at all. My dog spent a full extra 24 hours with glass in the pad of his paw because of their incompetence!!!

One Saturday night, around 9 pm, I noticed that my cat's paw was really swollen. It was almost triple the size of his other paws. I did a quick search online and found this place as it is open 24/7. I called and they said I could bring my cat as a walk in.

When we arrived we were seen rather fast. They arranged to have my cat's paw xrayed. The facility was squeeky clean, modern, and well laid out. The staff were friendly and fast. My cat was handled with care.

We had to leave my cat at the vets for a few hours as there was a line to get the xray machine. I went to dinner and they called me when my cat was ready.

I was really impressed and I keep this business card in my wallet all the time in case I should need them again.

One last thing: the services rendered cost about $450 but that is about what I expected for after-hours care including an xray.
