Stay away from this Midas as they are very dishonest!!! They sold me a Lifetime oil change and later changed the terms of the agreement.

I bought a car, which had Lifetime Lube+ service program from Midas, which pledges to service a vehicle every 3,000 miles or every 3 months and up to 4 times per year for a small service fee per visit.

Of course, next thing I did, I went to Midas and paid the transfer fee to get the program transferred on my name, so I could continue to receive their courtesy check and oil change services.

Since then, I went to Midas another four times and received the service as promised. Everything was fine until my recent visit, when I was told that this is the last time I am getting the service. Also, they told that my transfer was not valid and now I have to pay additional fee to meet their current program price, if I want to continue to receive their Lifetime Lube+ services, which I already paid for!!!

An option of program fee refund was completely out of the question by shop manager.

I felt that, their practice is against consumer rights, and I refused to pay Midas anything extra for services I own already. I had to file a claim to Better Business Bureau (BBB.org) to get my money back.

Besides, every visit they tried to up sell overpriced unnecessary services (I consulted another auto shop), which I kept declining, but paid just for oil change (oil filter and recycle fee). I guess this might be a true reason behind everything.

I will never have any business with this untrustworthy company, which cannot commit to their obligations and provide lifetime services for a LIFETIME. I would recommend everybody to STAY AWAY from them! Midas acts unfair using their lifetime service program to SELECT their clientele and are abusing customer rights.

Prices are high, the overselling is offensive. Took my Ford in and was charged over $400 to replace spark plugs which did not fix the problem, too it to Jones West and they fixed i for $89. Midas said, So sorry, that's too bad but nothing
