Ethical, Fast, and Experienced

When my wife and I bought our house last year we didn't expect to have a plumbing issue the first day we moved in... we were wrong. After a runny toilet led to our over-flow drain in the basement flowing-over, we were disheartened and lost for a solution. I called up a couple of family members for advice, and everyone said, "call Roto-rooter." I took this to mean, call "a plumber" just as you would say, "hand me a Kleenex" when asking for a tissue of any kind. Man was I wrong. I had a couple of independent plumbers come out and each one told me different things, most made me feel like an idiot, and all recommended very high priced procedures. When I finally called Roto Rooter, the guy they sent out wasn't any older than I was (in his 20's), but was very knowledgeable, patient, and carefully explained everything to me, and most importantly, he recommended trying a more moderately priced procedure first. That's all you can really ask for as a first-time homeowner handling plumbing issues in your 80 year old house.

Pros: Ethical

Cons: none
