Sol-y-Mar Day Spa

Beautiful and serene decor. Seems very clean. Loved the color scheme, it should have been carried through to all the rooms. The people are lovely, very helpful, kind and classy. I wish all the pros would have carried over into the service. I had my eyebrows done. Unfortunately, the job was botched. Thank goodness I have long bangs to cover up the bad job. I was debating as to give it 2 or 3 stars, but since it is a new business (3 months) they can still improve and either find or train better technicians...I hope.

I was so thrilled to find Sol Y Mar Day Spa conveniently located on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland. My friend and I booked a massage and a facial and fully relaxed and endulged in our treatments. The products they use are amazing. These people are definately at the top of their craft. I really enjoyed the beautiful tea service and the serene qualities that this spa has to offer. I can't wait for my next experience.

The spa is THE BEST. Great services and meticulously clean. This is a great place to come with 2 friends and get the royal treatment. My friends and I left there floating on air. It was so relaxing. This would be great place to go on a date with a loved one, "girl day" with friends, or for the busy professional who would appreciate a private, upscale place with first class treatments. I gift certificate from this spa would make a great gift for the bride -to-be, graduate, Mother's Day, Father's Day, heck any day. Just to be able to go to a place that is serene and very comfortable and have a great massage, or facial, body treatments, or meditate in the waterfall room is priceless. I can't say enough good things about the servcie and ambiance. I'd highly recommend this to everyone. I'm hooked, you will be too. Do it for YOU. You're worth it.

This spa is wonderful ... very relaxing and well designed. My friend and I simply got mani/pedis and everyone who works there seemed super friendly and attentive in making this experience as comfortable as possible. They served fresh fruit and sorbet as we were getting our nails done ... so delicious. They gave us a tour of the facilities when we arrived and the cocoon looks absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to try it. I also really thought the "guy's room" was cool and will be recommending it for my husband. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely be stopping by.

I had a wonderful experience at Sol-y-mar Day Spa. I had the body scrub/seaweed mud cocoon wrap. It was my first time ever having this type of treatment and I must say it was Wonderful. Vivian was very professional and attentive to my every need. I would highly recommend this service.
