I moved to LA a few months ago worried I would not be able to find someone as good as my gal in Chicago. I was so pleased with my hair after Caitln did it!! She has this amazing knack for looking at your skin color and eyes and knowing exactly what type of blonde you should be based on your coloring. You walk out of the salon looking totally natural and not stripey- just as if the sun naturally lightened your hair. She takes her time and is super meticulous, making sure she gets the color right down to the scalp so your dye job lasts really long. She's super sweet and easy to talk to , and you can tell she loves her clients and she loves what she does. I HIGHLY recommend Caitlin to anyone looking for a hairdresser who will make you look your absolute best.

Caitlin is hands down the BEST for blond color and extensions. Her work is nothing less than perfect. She treats every stand of hair like its special. I really am amazed by her level of detail, she is extremely talented. She has always been very accommodating to me with her time and energy and I appreciate her work and dedication to her clients a LOT. Above all she is the coolest person ever! I am very picky with my hair and she is honestly the only person I will recommend for blond/extensions without hesitation. If Caitlin moved to another country or even planet, I would probably fly there to get my hair done cuz shes THAT good.

I was in desperate need of Caitlin's help when my hairdresser let me go home with orange hair. I had auburn hair and was trying to go blond. My hair looked awful and she really had her work cut out for her when she saw me. She spent her time with me to make sure that all of the orange and red was out of my hair and that I left the salon a blond bombshell. I can't thank her enough! I highly recommend her to everyone!

Caitlin takes the time to sit and listen to what you want. If you can describe it, she can do it. She dedicates her time to you as the client and does not "double book" other clients during your time. She takes her work seriously but provides a very relaxed attmosphere where everyone can be themselves. She maintains my hair extensions wonderfully and treats my hair as if it were her own. In fact I'm pretty sure she worries about my hair more than I do. Thank you Caitlin.

Caitlin is THE BEST blonde specialist in Los Angeles. I went to her with a hair disaster in May and not only did she totally fix the damage, she made my hair exactly the way I always wanted it to look. Glossy, lovely -- I looked like Brigitte Bardot! I made the mistake of going back to my original hair person, out of guilt, and the damage got worse. I returned to Caitlin and she fixed it again. And now she's going to go the extra mile, yet again. She's simply the best. Since she understands how hair makes a person feel, she works almost like an artist -- she knows exactly what will make your hair look better and she totally gets your personality as well. If you walk into a salon feeling like a mousy mess, and walk out feeling like Sienna Miller, you've got a winning stylist. She's got a client for life! I cannot recommend her enough!

I have been getting my hair colored by Caitlin for over a year now, and have previously left her a reveiw for her flawless coloring and hi-liting services, but now I wanted to write something about the brazilian blowout she did for me and also my hair extensions. She finally got my hair back to good enough health after other stylists had fried it, and agreed to let me get hair extensions now that my hair was on the right track. NO ONE can tell I have extensions!
I love them so much and they are easy to take care of. Then she did the brazilian blowout to my hair and ALSO the extensions and my morning is so much easier and less stressful now that my hair practically does itself.... I am so happy I made the choice to get this treatment done, my hair was poofy and frizzy and would never look right now matter how I blow dried it or flat ironed it.. (dont be mad caitlin!)
This treatment is truly a miracle and she does the one where you can wash it that day...no 3 day wait for the stuff to sink in like others I had heard about through my friends. I am sooo happy to leave this review-- I love you Caitlin!!!

Caitlin really listened and delivered exactly what I needed. I was looking for a new style and adding more blond to my already strawberry blond hair color. I have been to many other stylists in Los Angeles, and it has run the gamut between the waste-of-time place to the chemical burn. She is amazing and exactly what every woman is looking for when it comes to hair. At the end, you have had a great time and you love the way you look. I visited this stylist several week ago, not only was she late, but had an attitude too. I am a professional who travels the world for work and am constantly on the run, I am used to professionals. I felt totally disregarded because she spent most of her time txt'ing her friends, and not paying attention to my hair, which turned yellow. She told me should would fix it for free, but why would I have someone who turned it yellow try to fix it??

Not only did Caitlin fix my janky, jacked up orange yellow nightmare of a bad color job, she was overly kind when I realized I left her a shite tip and returned to correcy my poor math skills. And, and...the broad friggin reads Bukowski!

Caitlin is the greatest colorist in the entire universe.

I say this with supreme confidence as I've been blonde on and off for years and have been through too many bad colorists to not sing from the mountain tops when I've found the real deal Holyfield.

I cannot say enough good things about Caitlin...she is the most amazing hair stylist I have ever been to. I currently live in Boston and REFUSE to go to any local salons because I don't trust anyone else. I had made the mistake of going to a salon in Boston before meeting Caitlin, and my hair was yellow and brassy. When I met with Caitlin, she knew exactly what I wanted. My hair came out perfectly...I have never gotten so many compliments. She spent six hours color correcting the mess the other stylist had done, even staying when the salon had closed. She is #1 for blondes, without a doubt. You're the best girl!!!

I have had my hair done at top salons all over the world. Caitlin is the first stylist who has manged to give me the perfect blond coloring. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. Not only is she a highly skilled hair stylist, she is also a joy to be around. She treats all of her clients like dear friends, and has made me look better than I've ever looked in my life. I don't really have the time to deal with these websites but when your out to dinner and have an amazing meal, you wanna share the essence with the world. well this is from my personal experience..The first time caitlin did my hair, it didn't look half bad. It was a bit a expensive though, but i really wanted something extraordinary so i gave in. Well it was far from extraordinary and not exactly what i wanted, but it wasn't bad either. However what i noticed was when i came in for the follow up, her work wasnt even as nice as the first time. kina like she already had me as a customer so she didnt feel like she had to try as hard. She wasnt attentive to my needs as a customer and had this bitchy hollywood vibe about her....and ill admit i think she was down right rude at times. thats no way to treat a paying customer...especially when it really was just a compromise...it's so hard to find a good stylist so at first i figured ill just stick to not half bad...but even that got pretty bad...the hair closer to my scalp ended up being a diferent shade then my ends.. so maybe u guys had different experiences..but that was mine...long story short..not worth it...

Seriously? You must have the wrong Caitlin. Either that, or you forgot your medication yesterday.

I have been a client of Caitlin's since 2006 and referred many others to her. I have a short, platinum blonde hairstyle, which is by NO means easy to attain or maintain. Unless, of course, you are Caitlin. She flawlessly bleaches and tones my hair to the perfect color every four weeks.

When I wanted to take a turn as a brunette, she did an AMAZING job achieving the perfect shade of chestnut brown. Then when I was ready to revisit my blonde ambition, she brought me from the brown back to a beautiful beige blonde, without a hint of patches or spots.

However, it is not only Caitlin's innate talent for styling that has lured me to her repeatedly for the past 3 years. Rather, it is Caitiln's truly down-to-earth, laidback and fun spirit that has kept me coming back. She is worth every penny.

I've been looking for the perfect color specialist for the past 2 years. My friend referred me to Caitlin Richardson . I have to be honest, I didn't know what to expect when I walked in. From my past experiences, most color specialists are all the same. You tell them what you want and they "DO WHAT THEY WANT".

Not Caitlin. I liked her from the beginning. She has great energy and a can do attitude. My hair was really damaged and needed major color correction.

First off- she took the time to get to know me a bit, my personality and then her mind was creating a beautiful image.

Second- She educated me about the different colors I chose and what she need to do to get me "MY" end results.

Third- As she went to town on the foils and colors, she explained the pattern and walked me thru the whole process.

At this point, I could relax because I could see she knew exactly what she was doing.

I'm excited I finally found what I've been looking for "the goddess of blonde color" and my hair is beautiful once again.

I just want to warn everyone, these reviews are DO NOT reveal the truth about the quality of service Caitlin provides. Why? because she practically COERCES you to WRITE them. She's incredibly rude to her clients, pretentious, and really not the great of a colorist. Dont get me wrong I've had worse, but she really does not live up to what she makes herself out to seem. The last time she dyed my hair it looked pretty damn botched for 300$. There were PATCHES and SPOTS, STRIPES, you name it. Especially after her quickfix toners washed off.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

I have been in LA for almost four and a half years now and always went from place to place for my precious, never-quite-right hair. I couldn't find anyone I liked, so I settled on the random half off deals for first time customers and just jumped around. I saw the reviews on here and Yelp for Caitlin and thought they MUST be fake... everyone was soo complimentary it was weird. But as soon as I called Caitlin I realized they're all completely true. She is FUN and friendly and REALLY good at what she does. I've been blonde my whole life and she took me to a dark "Hershey" chocolate brown that I'm in love with... I really feel so much more confident as a person, it's funny what hair can do. It's shiny and healthy and hasn't faded at all like other dye jobs! OH and the best part.... Caitlin TEXT messages her clients. Who else does that?!! A few weeks ago she texted me from Paris. Not kidding... what a cool person. :)

I moved to LA from NYC about two and a half years ago. I was always happy with my highlights and cuts in NYC, and thought I should easily be able to find someone to replicate that in LA (of all places), but I quickly found that not to be the case. I have tried stylist after stylist at some of the best salons in LA and was continually disappointed. I usually go to a stylist based on a recommendation of a friend, but I had given up on that and started looking on Citysearch for recommendations when I came across Caitlin's info. I was nervous about going to someone I only had online references for, but I decided to go for it and called. I could quickly tell Caitlin was interested in and understood what I was looking for, and she fit me in right away. When I met her, I instantly felt comfortable with her. She is friendly and easy-going. She did an excellent job on my hair. She did not rush and "slop on" the highlights, rather she took her time and made sure it was perfect. Although I had not scheduled it, she also fit in a trim, and gave me some ideas on styling my hair which I loved. I am trilled to have found Caitlin!

I had the worst haircut from a stylist (if you could call him that) and caitlin was there to the rescue with the best damn extensions you have ever seen.

Forget the extensions, the blonde color she gave me is the best i've had, and i'm 35!! People literally stop me on the street to ask who does my hair.

If you are after one on one treatment with someone who cares, then Caitlin is your girl! After 10 mins in her company I felt like we had been friends for years. This was important to me when going to a new stylist. I'm from Australia and I have a GREAT colorist back home. It was going to take a lot to come close to her and Caitlin exceeded my expectations perfectly! We communicated on the same page and she was careful to be totally clear on my expectations before she began. I felt like I was in my home the way I was made to feel. I highly recommend Caitlin and the area! Best coffee in LA is served next door! I am so happy I have found my LA Stylist! Can't wait to go back when I need a refresher!!

Caitlin is absolutely amazing! I needed an appointment asap, didnt give her much notice, and she squeezed me right in!!! I am a blonde but like to be "super blonde" and she did it just right the very first time (bleaching roots can be a disaster)!!! I was really impressed! I needed a trim also and my hair looks better now than ever! She pays close attention to detail when doing hair,,,,and I could totally tell that she cared about the end result! I highly recommend her!!! She will be the only one touching my hair from now on :)

Without a doubt Caitlin Richardson is a master of blonde hair color. After complete frustration with other colorists, I finally found Caitlin. Within minutes of speaking with her, I knew I was in great hands. She has done an amazing job of correcting my color and "nursing" my hair back to health! I have had numerous compliments on my hair color since meeting Caitlin. She is totally honest about what I should and shouldn't do to my hair. Besides doing fab color, she is such a down to earth wonderful person be around. I trust her completely with my hair. Also, she is incredibly flexible on appointment times. I simply email her to set an appointment and she responds instantly! I love it! Hands down......Caitlin is the simply the best!

I saw Caitlin on the show "Split Ends" on TV last week, and looked her up online and found out she was just what I was looking for in a hair stylist. I called the salon and said I had watched the show Split Ends and they immediately gave her the phone-- and she spent almost 10 minutes talking to me about what I wanted to do with my hair!!
Not only did she make time for me then, but squeezed me in on a Sunday for a highlight re-touch before I had to leave town for the holidays.... I couldn't believe that she took clients so late- I had a 8pm appointment with her.
I have never had a hair stylist ever take so much interest in my own opinion of my hair, or listened to my whole "story" when it came to my wants and needs for my hair color. (I have blond hair and have had problems with finding a stylist that can give me the tone that I ask for).
Between her and the others at her salon, I have never felt so un-intimidated walking in somewhere in West Hollywood. And i was even happier walking out, feeling like someone cared as much as I did about the final product! I am so relieved that I actually found somewhere I feel at home to get my hair done!
To add to it- her prices are completely fair and with the 20% off as a new client, I saved a bundle!
I am so happy I took the initiative to google her after watching the salons show on Split Ends!

As soon as I met Caitlin I instantly felt comfortable... she has no "attitude like many hair dressers in LA and she really knows what she is talking about with hair. She took her time with me and my appointment was at 6:00 PM, and the cost was totally reasonable. I will definitely be going back to see her in a few months. She listens to what your ideas are about hair the whole time and doesn't just do what she wants. I think anyone that wants a hairdresser that loves coloring/cutting hair and knows what they're doing without the attitude should run not walk to see Caitlin.

This lady is the ultra stylist. Blonde, brunette, red headed, whatever your into, Caitlin can do and exceptionally well for that matter. When I sat down in her chair my hair was very below par...short, dark brown, thin hot mess. I showed her a picture of Adriana Lima in an ad I saw, she had very long, thick, wavy dark brown hair, with some chestnut highlights coming out of the waves. I was a little nervous to see the outcome cause I just trusted her to order the hair, take care of the color and pretty much everything. Not only did she do the highlights perfect, the hair she ordered is high quality, the right texture and color. Even when she was putting in the extensions, it wasn't painful as some stylists can be. Wow! I'm still amazed how good it looks, it's identical to the picture of Adriana. I get so many compliments! Caitlin is such a perfectionist and takes the time to get it right. She will not let you leave if it doesn't look absolutely perfect. And the icing on the cake, she is so much fun!!! Love her, she's a keeper!

With a head of the wrong color blonde/ ORANGE hair I had been on a mission to find someone to correct the mess on my head (which by the way had been created by some of the so called "best"/ "famous" colorists in Los Angeles!) I discovered Caitlin on City Search. With so many fantastic reviews about her perfection of blonde color I knew I had to give her a call. I was thrilled when Caitlin answered herself. She was sweet, funny and kind and told me she would come in early the next morning just so we could have an appointment.
When I arrived to salon I was very happy with the relaxed yet chic feel of the salon. And then there was Caitlin...the minute we met I felt comfortable, relaxed, and confident that I was in good hands. She took a look at my hair and told me I was "not crazy", it was in fact orange and then started what she called "operation rescue". She took the time to discuss what she wanted to do and what I was to expect. After a single process, highlight and toner I was a new woman. Caitlin had created the PERFECT natural blonde I had been dreaming about for almost 15 years of coloring my hair! She is an absolute color genius AND on top of it she is funny, witty, and passionate about what she does.

I love her, she is a perfectionist. She gives fantastic haircuts, the best I have had in years and her color techniques are so modern, my hair just comes out beautiful when she is done. She is lots of fun and really listens to what you want, doesn't just do what she would like. She really takes her time, so it is not a quick visit, but so worth the time.

I've been back to see Caitlin three times now and I am thrilled at all the compliments I'm getting!
She can be a bit pricey for my budget, but I trust no one else with my super fine hair.

I learned about Caitlin through my girlfriend who actually now lives in Manhattan... I've tried about 4 different stylists, at salons frequented by all sorts of celebrities you can see in US Weekly, but always felt like no one really cared about the fact I was dropping so much money for my hair or even respected my time. In almost every salon, I was booked at the same time as another client, one stylist had 3 people there at once! Caitlin met me personally in the lobby, and spent a half hour listening to my ideas about my hair, plus asked me several questions to make sure she had the right image I wanted in her head. She only had me in her chair the entire time, did not put me under the drier, and while I was processing, she hung out and chatted with me like an old friend. I felt confident in her talent from the second i walked in to the end result which was the perfect shade of blonde I have been trying to get this whole time in Los Angeles! I felt right at home and all of the other stylists were friendly and were all telling jokes together. The salon is gorgeous, its all white and clean and uncluttered...candles and chandeliers! A true classic hollywood parlour. I'm definitely staying with Caitlin from now on!

I have been driving back and forth to orange county to see my hairdresser of 9 years, (admittedly, also my mothers- yikes-), and finally couldnt take the commute with the gas prices. I came onto citysearch after a bunch of my girlfriends with bad dye jobs fought over whos stylist I was going to replace mine with. I couldn't really visit someone's stylist who has made my friends hair a weird shade of yellow countless times, could I?
I didn't tell any of the girls for fear of them committing me to an institution for finding a hairdresser without a personal referral, and came to see Caitlin at SEVEN PM, she actually takes appointments a late as 9! Long story long, Caitlin not only gave me what i asked for and didn't try to convince me to cut my hair or make bangs, or anything like that, but it looked better than I had ever imagined. She even threw in a treatment for free since it was out of my budget, but she thought it necessary for my "hair's vitality" true quote! lol!
So now all the girls are going to ditch their stylists and come to Caitlin. Copycats!!
FIVE STARS to Caitlin and the whole salon was so rad, two of her other clients stopped by after they got off work to say hi and have a glass of wine. It was like a girls club where I left looking better than when I came!

I was looking for over 6 months for a new hair stylist since moving from Manhattan. I tried three of my co-workers stylists and it seemed like they were all okay- but not GREAT. I came onto citysearch- my first time trying a hair stylist without a personal referral from a friend- and finally found someone who listened to my wishes when describing what I wanted with my hair color. I feel like so many stylists have thier own idea about what they wanted to do with my hair, but CAITLIN did what I asked and it turned out better than I even pictured it!!! Everyone at the salon was so nice, and she took me at 730pm- which is the earliest I could get there after work... FIVE STARS! I feel like maybe I can be at home here in LA now that my hair looks perfect again! THANK YOU CAITLIN! You are truly a blond expert!

I had an awesome experience with Caitlin! After going to another salon for many years, I heard about Caitlin from a friend and decided to give her a try....I am never going back to my old salon again!

Caitlin instantly made me feel comfortable in her chair and transformed my dry, blah color into a multi-dimensional look (she is great with brunettes too). I walked in with basically no ideas, but Caitlin knew exactly what to do. She listened carefully to my hair concerns (i have thin hair) and created a fashion-forward style that I can duplicate at home.

Above just the styling, Caitlin is so dedicated to her clientele. She told me not to hesitate to call her whenever I have a question or need to fit an appointment into my hectic schedule. Caitlin was a pleasure to work with. She did a fabulous job on my " much needed" highlight rescue. She was very sweet, honest, and personable. She's a perfectionist and takes her time making sure your hair looks marvelous. She is my new stylist and I cant wait to share my experience that I had with her with all of my many girlfriends.. plus her prices were very reasonable!

I met Caitlin 3 years ago when I was blonde and needed help! She first fixed my terrible blonde and after I got bored with that, she took me to a beautiful espresso brown for my wedding. She accomedates my every hair whim and brings them into a reality. Just recently she took me to an awesome platinum with a very cool short cut that I love! She is the ONLY person I have ever trusted with my hair in my life and I am super picky! I usually have anxiety when I'm in the chair because I always feel the need to drastically change my look, but with Caitlin I can be at ease and actually have fun while I'm at the salon. She is very entertaining and has become not just my most trusted stylist, but my friend!

Caitlin is more that a blond expert, she is a true friend! If you hate waiting hours to get highlights, please do not torture yourself and see Caitlin. She will keep you entertained in the small amount of time you spend getting your hair done and make sure you are well hydrated and fed! Also I've never had highlights last as long as Caitlin's. After my long time colorist disappeared, I tried practically every popular hairdresser in town. I was rewarded by having my waist length blonde hair fried and ending up with a shoulder length bob. NOT CUTE! So after searching high and low... I went to Caitlin. She listened to my story, told me what was done wrong, and most importantly, told me how it could be fixed. She turned my orange roots and ashy highlights into a "true" blonde. Caitlin also took great care to avoid further damaging my hair. After I was done, I was bracing myself for the final cost... let me tell you it was a steal!!! Unfortunately for Caitlin, I am now a faithful follower. I won't leave me hair in anyone else's hands.

Catlin you are amazing! i've been to numerous salons all over LA and not one of the could give me the blond hair color that i sought after. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I've had horrible experiences with other colorists and actually came into the salon to correct my spotty, uneven, dull shade of gray. But all my fears subsided because Caitlin is not just a colorist , she's an artist. She turned my cumulation of multiple hair disasters into a lovely sandy blond color! i honestly don't even know how she did it. The change was so drastic that we had to take before and after pictures! This girl knows what she's doing and i couldn't be more satisfied with the result! thank you so much Caitlin! i'll be seeing you again in the near future.

Every time I have gone to get a haircut I have explained what it was that I wanted my cut to look like, or what I wanted to change about my current style, but never has that slight expectation been met. The only thing I had said to Caitlin was that i 'trusted her judgment', and she gave me the perfect haircut. 'Nuff Said.

I know you have heard this story before, but it really is hard find a great hair stylist in Los Angeles. After a four year hunt-I am thrilled to to have found Caitlin. When I called the salon to make an appointment for the first time, Lauren (the owner) called me back personally to talk through my needs and to get a feel for what I was looking for. She recommended Caitlin and they fit me in the very next week. I was impressed, Lauren went above and beyond and I really owe her because Caitlin was AMAZING! As a blonde, I can be a little protective over my highlights, but from the start it was clear that this was Caitlin's forte. She was very thoughtful about understanding what I wanted before she started and then proceeded to do meticulous work. The haircut was great too. Not to mention she and the girls are a blast to hang out with through the process. All around it was a great experience and I would recommend her to all of my lovely friends.

Caitlin is by far the first woman that I have found in my 10 yrs in LA that can color, cut AND blow-dry my hair exactly how I want it every time. I have VERY naturally curly hair with many years of light highlights. It is always a chore keeping up with my color and finding someone who knows how to manage curly, thick, hard as hell to blow-dry hair WELL. SHe just colored my hair very naturally and it looks amazing. SOme people can color and some people can cut but Caitlin as a master at both!!!!
