A full-service bistro, Bistrotek is now serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily as well as weekend brunch. The restaurant's contemporary, industrial design aesthetic is reminiscent of the revitalized lofts found in New York's SoHo or Chicago's River North. Bistrotek features an open and airy loft-style space with sky lights and exposed pipes, polished concrete floors, distressed brick walls and a vine-enclosed outdoor patio. Bistrotek's semi-private dining room is perfect for corporate lunches, family gatherings or small informal meetings and receptions. Bistrotek's exceptional value and welcoming, casual yet chic vibe invites neighbors, visitors and hotel guests to make themselves at home and stay a while. The main dining room, semi-private dining room and outdoor patio are also available for private special events. Please see Events and Meetings for more information.

In Short
Reminiscent of artsy open-air lofts a la Manhattan's trendy Soho district, Custom Hotel's industrial-designed eatery serves classic American fare fused with imaginative flavors and surprisingly fun twists. A dressed-up version of tuna noodle casserole trades canned albacore for olive oil-poached ahi and pop-in-your-mouth organic peas, while surf-and-turf is reimagined as a Maine lobster pot pie. The addictively good grilled cheese sandwich, smeared with whipped marscapone and Nutella, glamorizes Mom's kitchen staple with a sweet finish. The scene is as metropolitan as the nearby airport, mixing hip travelers masking jetlag with aviator shades, Westchester locals, and groups of suits convening for corporate lunch meetings.

Key Points

  • Weekend Brunch
  • Private Parties and Events

The Inside Scoop

  1. What to Drink - Along with an expanding drink list, the eatery offers an eclectic sampling of beers. Try a light Belgian triple ale to balance out the rich entrees.
  2. Know Before You Go - The restaurant bar stays open much later than the kitchen, so call ahead if you are planning to eat late-night. The kitchen usually closes around 10pm during the week, and around 11pm on weekends.
  3. When to Go - Make it a "Sunday Funday": Stop by for brunch between 11:30am and 4pm, then head over to the Hopscotch pool bar for the weekly "Sundaze" pool party from 1pm to 9pm. (No cover!)

Are we talking about the same Bistrotek?

by LaLaMommy

I went to Bistrotek for Mothers Day because they were advertising Brunch. After waiting over 15 minutes for a menu, we looked at a sparse brunch menu and ordered. Thirty minutes later, they showed up with what seemed to be reminiscent of Lox & Bagel meal (which is what I ordered), and fruit & oatmeal for my baby. The Lox was terribly fishy and old smelling and there was mold and dirty on the blueberries in my babies oatmeal.

After sitting in the restaurant waiting for the never-present waitstaff, moldy food and a terrible wait, we asked to speak to the manager. They comp'd us our meal, which I suppose was to make up for the horrendous experience but I would never give it a second chance. There was nothing about this restaurant that I would recommend. Absolutely horrific experience.

Pros: There's a door leading outside.

Cons: Where do I begin?

Really good upscale diner.

by MatildaMarcus

I was recently on the west side looking for something new to eat and I happened to drive by that new hotel in Westchester (Custom Hotel). I stopped in to check it out and was pleasantly surprised by the lobby and awesome design. Next door I found Bistrotek, which I would describe as an upscale diner. Had a fantastic cheeseburger and onion rings that were super good. And well worth the price. I will definitely go back. Good option for those in the Marina del Rey/Westchester area.

Pros: Good food for a good price.

Cons: Too far from my house.
