Extremely disappointing, poor customer service, conflicting informattion, false promises and lies. On March 3, 2012 after much thought and consideration, we selected and paid in full a red leather-like sofa sectional only to discover during check out it was not in stock but would be in on March 31 and could be delivered April 7. Although the time line was longer than we would have liked, we agreed and went ahead with the transaction spending nearly $900 with delivery costs. I was pleasantly surprised after a couple of weeks to learn that our sofa had come in early and was set to be delivered on Friday, March 23. I was very excited and planned to be off work to meet the driver. I was advised he would call the day before with a 3 hour delivery window. A few days later, I received another call from to confirm the March 23 delivery. The same day, I receive a call from advising me the item had not yet come in stock and the soonest they could deliver was March 31. I was told that March 31 was an estimated or anticipated date they could not guarantee but it was moved from March 23 to March 31. Yesterday, March 30, I contacted AS as I had not heard anything this last week and was anticipating the call with the 3 hour window for delivery on March 31. That call never came so I took it on myself to inquire about the status and was advised the delivery date was now April 28!!! I was told the right facing side of the section was out of stock. April 28! Are you kidding me?? I asked why I had not received a call and was advised they left a message for me on March 20. This is a downright lie The representative offered no apology and was quite matter-of-fact with no concern for the imposition and inconvenience this delay was causing my family. I feel as if I have wasted all of this time as I could have purchased from a more reputable company who could deliver on their promises...literally. Now I still have no sofa and have to start the search all over again but you can be sure it will not be with AS. I personally will never shop at AS again and I will continue to tell friends and family to save them the time, money, and frustration. To add fuel to the fire, my refund (which I requested as I was NOT willing to wait for an April 28 "estimated" in stock date date) will not be available to me until Thursday April 5 after 11am. Wow! will have had my money for over a month and I still do not have a sofa.. I am highly disappointed in your poor customer service. I realize this is just yet another email from a frustrated customer of which I will likely receive a form letter apology if at all. I rarely take the time to complain because stuff just happens and I let it roll off. I certainly don't bother posting reviews or taking the time to get that detailed. I will usually simply not patronize a store any longer if I'm dissatisfied and then tell my friends and family. However, this scenario has prompted me to write an email to AS, sign up to post this negative review, vow to never purchase from AS again, and tell all of my friends and family members to avoid AS. It seems as if their enticing ads lure you into the store and the intent is to get the money and then just hold on to it while financing their business as they give false promises for delivery. They will let the customer know it is out of stock as long as they can. It makes me wonder if they even had the merchandise in stock from the beginning. In fact, I have come to believe they may have only had the floor model in stock while luring people in. Whatever the case may be, I am just disappointed that we did not receive the furniture we selected and paid for and that we have to start our search all over again. Hopefully with a company who can stand by and DELIVER on their promises....ON TIME. Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me. Well, you have fooled me a number of times with regard to the delivery date so shame on me for doing business with you in the first place. I should have read all the other negative reviews and similar issues. It also sounds like the poor quality is also a problem so I probably should be thanking them as this is likely a blessing in disguise that I did not get the furniture afterall. I won't be a fool anymore.
