do not go to Planet Hyundai in Denver on Colefax, they are liars on the price, they just want to get you in the door and then they tell you that you had to be in the military to get that price, don't waste your time. Bad customer

Do not buy a Hyundai and do not buy from these people. In 2007, I bought a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe from them. Since then, I have spent at least $5000 in repairs on this piece of junk, by far the worse car I have ever owned.\r

I was not pleased with my purchase of a used 2004 Hyun-die Elantra GT. We didn't even have the car for a year! A month after the warranty was up the engine had a catastrophic failure. Planet Hyundai refused to help at all even though it was only a few miles over the 100,000 mile warranty we purchased directly from them, stating "that would be like admitting guilt". The official problem was with the thrust bearing and coolant head gasket which required a full engine install. Apparently this is a common problem. Be extremely cautious purchasing from Planet Hyundai.

I've had them consistently work to remedy any thing that I asked about regarding our cars. We've had one Elantra and three Santa Fes. They're courteous, prompt, pay good attention to detail, and have always made good on their warrantees. The service is done within a reasonable period of time and I've never had to take a vehicle back a second time. I read the on line reviews and thought, "Some folks would complain if you hung them with a new rope." Knowing this shop as I do, there has to be more to the negative tales than we've seen here.

I bought a Sonata from these guys in february, and in july a crack had started radiating from the rearview mirror in the windshield. I took it to Mcdonald Hyundai (they were closest)they said the mirror was not installed correctly that they would have been glad to fix the defect under warranty, but the glass was aftermarket (warranty doesn't cover) and the dealer I bought it from should fix it. I took it back to Planet hyundai and they said that even if it was defective that they won't fix it. they told me they don't even do an inspection on that part of the car! Mcdonald said they would put my new glass in at at cost just to keep me as a customer. I couldn't even get planet to offer me anything towards new glass! maybe the guys at planet should take some notes on customer service.

Cons: don't care about you after they sell you a car!

This is a really late review, but I'm still stewing over my experience so I thought I'd share and hopefully help others avoid a similar experience. My house got broken into in December and my spare key and remote were stolen. I had to change the locks on the ignition, truck and replace the remote openers. I bought my car at Planet Hyundai and had done all maintenance there up to that point, so I called and ordered the parts and made an appointment to get the repairs done. I actually had to take a day off work to get the car in, but when it came down to that day the parts weren't there as promised. My husband, who is in sales, recommended I call a few other dealerships to price out the service and I'm glad I did! McDonald Hyundai offered the same service at 1/4 the price!! I called Planet back with McDonald's quote and they told me they didn't know what they were doing and it was a bad quote. I cancelled the service request at Planet, got the work done a McDonald (for $200 versus $800) and had an amazing experience at McDonald. Do your homework and shop around!! Don't let a dealership take advantage of you just because you're stuck in a sticky situation!
