Very good

by Cathy H. | top100 Top100 | Rank: 4

I went here on vacation and it was super relaxing and enjoyable. Everyone I met on the staff was very nice and helpful. The prices were average but it's such a great place to go.

Results not impressive + poor attitude

by karenmschmidt

The aesthetician, May, is unprofessional, distracted, and simply impolite. I've been to salons all over the city. This one is underwhelming. I won't be back.

Pros: none

Cons: Unprofessional staff

Will not go anywhere else..

by whzalot1

I go to both May for facials and waxing/tinting and Robert for hair. I had such a great facial this weekend I felt compelled to share my experience with others. After tucking myself in to the fluffy, soft and heated facial bed my skin was treated to some much needed TLC. I could have stayed there all day and today my skin is glowing. Thanks guys!

Pros: May, Robert, and everything they do

Cons: parking

Amazing Salon and Spa

by jenbaby9193

So after going to the same person for the last ten years, I decided to look for someone and something new. I was really, really hesitant, but must admit to being impressed with this salon. The outside lacks flash but once you walk inside, it?s sleek and modern with a definite lavish and trendy feel to it. Everyone I met was friendly and very attentive.

I made my hair appt with Anna Haakenson and have to admit to finding my new hair technician. She was fantastic! The best part, the shampoo/head/neck massage. All I can say is wow!! I seriously could have stayed in that chair for hours. As for the spa, it was very warm and inviting. I would definitely make an appt there if I were in a wedding, a bride to be, or even if I just needed/wanted some pampering and down time for myself.

I definitely recommend Stylus to anyone who wants the royal treatment. I didn't check out the prices for the spa treatments but can say that the salon prices are fair and not overpriced. The best part was feeling like I found the right place. I will definitely be going back!!

Pros: Very hip salon and spa. Hightlights: Shampoo/Head/Neck Massage

Cons: Parking. Its pay to park along the street or pay lots and if you use the street parking, you may have to go out before you are done to put more money in the meter.

Great up & coming area

by showoct

When Stylus first opened I was a little skeptical about the neighborhood. Now there are renovations and construction sites galore! Robert has recruitted the best in talent from Seattle, New York and other hot cities. The salon area is bright and open while the downstairs spa/treatment area is calm and restful. Waxing, Mani/Pedi, facials and a really cool spa shower can give you anything you need. Call Natalie to schedule you with Robert , May or Kimberly or anyother staff member.

Pros: nice new salon

Cons: 2nd ave.

Amazing Talent, Professionalism, Personality & Atmosphere

by do22

OMG!!! Want a facial from heaven!!!!!.....go see Justen........This guy knows his stuff to the nines!!!! I have been to alot of high end spas, but none of the people had the talent that Justen has. His fingers will leave your face feeling soooooooooooooooo awesomely good!! The products he uses are wonderful, and NOT heavy in scent. His fingers are magical, and will leave your skin feeling so revitalized!!! He will massage away any tension you have for sure. His foot massages are to die for!!!! Your feet will feel restored! And if you have sinus trouble Justen can help you with that too, as he has had special training in sinus relief.......my hubby see's Justen every 2 weeks to help relieve his sinuses!!!! Justen is the man with the golden hands for sure and he has a great personality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. While your there see Kimberly too..........she gives awesome manicures that your hands will love for sure, and she is a great person to talk with!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Extreme Talent, Professional, Approachable, Fun Place to Hang & Great Value

Cons: Parking can be quirky!! But Do Able!!

friendly, knowledgeable, and pretty damn good looking!

by homme1111

I have found my new salon AND spa!! I'm a guy... I just want a cool haircut and to look great. The amazing staff steered me in the right direction... robert (the owner) gave me a rad haircut, anna covered up my "platinum highlights", andrea trimmed up my beard and mustache, and then kimberly got my hands and feet looking top notch again. I will most definitely be going back to these talented stylists and I recommend that you do too!

Pros: skill, knowledge, atmosphere

Stylus Salon

by lannew

Stylus Salon: My new favorite place for a facial is Stylus Salon in Belle Town . I will go back to Justen again and again. I swear he has magic fingers that know just when to gently massage your face to deeply massage your neck and upper back. I love the face products, the ambiance of the spa room and the choice of music. My face has never looked or felt so good. The salon is beautiful and everyone is very attentive.

i had a similar experience!

by nicole111

my girlfriend get's her hair done here and loves it and i was in Belltown so i thought i would stop in to see if i get my brows done and the guy that did them reaked! I can't say I have ever really noticed smoke during a treatment, but I really did this time. Not going to say I won't be back, but maybe not top of my list. I have been to a lot of spa's and I am a little picky.

Pros: Bell town, can get my hair done here

Cons: smoky fingers

They transformed me into a goddess

by db007

I recently had the pleasure of having my hair [Andrea] and makeup[Jenny] done for my 50th birthday party. These ladies were lovely, charming and best of all VERY talented. They know their stuff and after a short period of time I relaxed and put myself into their very capable hands. The absolute proof was the comments I received at my party - gorgeous, beautiful, hot, stunning, amazing - all a nice boost for this old girl! Thanks Andrea and Jenny for making my birthday so wonderful! I will definately be back!

PS LOVE the skylights - brilliant move.

Pros: Very friendly staff, skylights, high skill level, skylights, chandeliers,

went from blonde to brunette and LOVE IT!

by csmk

i have been a blonde my entire life, so going dark was a BIG risk. but the new color that robert did was PERFECT! so many of my friends tell me that it looks absolutely wonderful...and natural. robert has years of experience with hair; having worked for many of the top salons in seattle. and his staff is amazing! very warm and welcoming. the salon is in belltown, on 2nd, right between bell and battery and parking isn't too hard to find. the salon is just north of more conjested streets of belltown - thank goodness. much love to you all at stylus - you are the BEST!

Pros: love the skylights - when there's sun :)

I would send my own mother here!

by thecityismyrunway

Let me start by saying I am picky! And STYLUS ROCKS!!! The salon is beautiful and the spa is posh. I went to May for my brows and she is amazing! She made the whole experience a blast. She gave me brows that really turn heads and cracked me up the whole time. I will definitely see her again and again! The beds in the rooms are so heavenly, I even scheduled my first facial in Seattle there, so I'll let you know how that goes soon. I've been giving her cards to all my jealous friends when they comment on my hot new brows. Take my advice: GO SEE MAY!

Pros: Professional, great location, hip

Cons: none

Bed Waxing and Freezing Cold Salon - Plus, Hard to Find

by aedrury

I had a bad waxing experience there in a freezing cold basement room. The waxer was sloopy, in a hurry, and reaked of her recent cigarette break. Totally unprofessional. She didn't do any pre-wax treatment, not so much as an alcohol swab - and her only post-wax skin treatment was to leave me a cotton ball w/ some oil on it if I wanted to get the remaining wax off myself. Would never go back.

The salon is hard to find and extremely cold. The waxing room is downstairs in the basement and was freezing cold. No blanket or anything to warm me up was offered or provided.

Pros: I can't think of any

Cons: poorly skilled, bad atmosphere, cigarette smelling
