50 Dollar Movers

My wife and I found Certified Moving here on Citysearch so I thought it appropriate to return to relate my experience. This company was thorough and efficient. Their rates are surprisingly the lowest we received out of 3 different quotes, yet the service wasn't lacking at all. The men were polite and professional, and after 8 hours had our entire 4 bedroom home moved and unloaded. The price was as expected and while we are now retiring and doubt we'll be moving again, have certainly recommended them to our children who will likely be moving soon.

Pros: Professional movers, very affordable prices
Cons: They were 40 minutes late

During hurricane Ike I was in urgent need to move my belongings as the roof came off my home and I wanted to salvage what I could. Complete Moving Systems was hired and I have to say this was the worse experience I have ever had trying to move. 8 hrs. loading, 5 hrs. unloading and 8 days of storage we are over $3000 wow what a deal !!!

Cons: If they would just perform as their website suggests they would be great, not climate controlled, no public access, basic warehouse, daily storage rate per 100#

In my experience Houston moving companies can be a little shady - sometimes they show up sometimes not - charge you more etc... This past weekend, we hired Certified Moving Systems to pack our entire 3 bedroom home and move us. I did nothing to prepare for this move except call them. They quoted a flat rate for the move and packing and assured we wouldn't be charged more after they arrived. They meant it! Their team of 4 uniformed packers showed up on time at our home at 8 am in the morning. I was impressed already. They worked all day and into the evening and completely packed everything. They also organized my junk within the boxes and labled everything. The next morning at 7:30am the uniformed movers arrived with their huge truck and moved the contents of our house safely to the new home. We unpacked this weekend and found everything nicely padded, wrapped and even organized within the 50 or so boxes they provided. I chose Certified Movers primarily because they perform criminal background checks on their employees and because they are one of the few truly "certified" movers in town. I am now most impressed by the incredible job they did packing and moving our Houston home! I will highly recommend Certified Moving Systems to all of my friends and family and will never pack for a move again! Thank you for professionalism and excellent job!

We moved this past weekend and used 50 Dollar Movers after finding their listing here. I've moved several times in the past 3 years for various reasons and this was certainly the easiest and most professional of them all. These guys were there on time, worked hard and didn't drag their feet. No surprises as far as the bill went either. Will use them again.
