Long long wait. Saw dr for 2 min, then had to wait forever while my pet disappered into the back. When finally they bring my pet back, huge bill and no idea for what. Told dr will call back with results, she busy with another client. Had to call 8 times to get ansers.

I brought my kitten in with what I knew was ringworm one look at him and the DR. agreed, Just in case he wanted to put him under the Woods lamp, it glows which is the positive result for ringworm, just to be extra sure he suggests sending out culture they do the culture & I go to pay and it was over $300.00! (that's without the meds!) They did not have the meds on site so I had to wait 4 days to get them, & pay a separate 70$.The ridiculously expensive cultures came back 3 weeks later negative yet the DR. assured me that that test is very unreliable to continue treatment. So now they had me pay $300+ for unreliable test when we knew what it was with out it! After speaking to the shelter where I got the cat I called back to complain because there was no way it should have been over $100 to diagnose and treat, and they had the nerve to tell me that the shelter would say that because the people who work in shelters have no longterm hopes for the animal! I have also spoken to people who have gone there and they all said they would have told me to never go there. Hindsight is 20/20 wont be back found a wonderful reasonably priced Vet.

When my 15 year old lab was unable to get up and was lying on my kitchen floor, my regular vet could do nothing unless I could get the dog to him. After many phone calls, Nassau Suffolk was the only hospital that could help me. They had a doctor and a technician at my house within an hour! While the outcome was not good, the ordeal was made a little easier through their efforts. I'm look for a new puppy, and when I find him, Nassau Suffolk Animal Hospital is the only place I would consider bringing hime to. Thank you Nassau Suffolk - you are the best!!

I've been bringing my pets to Nassau-Suffolk for over 10 years and I would highly recommend this hospital. They recently became part of an animal hospital group called VCA. At first, I was a little worried about the change of ownership, but I was very pleased to see the entire staff has remained the same. They are skilled, compassionate people that really care about my little ones.

1/2009 - This place is horrible. Our animals are our babies and they just treated us as a walking check. While all the office staff is cold and you can feel that they don't want to be there, Dr. Haginson was great with our animal. I also got this feeling of chaos and no order with his helpers, techs etc.
I've since done thorough research with other hospitals to find another one. A friend of mine said to me to even ask where the animals will be staying when sleeping overnight and I have and I've even said walked out on one because it looked like an old dingy basement.

Brought my puppy here to begin shots and regular care. I was not feeling this place very well. I have been to other places where your pet, as we all know ARE OUR babies, is treated like royalty. They were not as friendly and although did a good job with his exam and first shot, there is no love atmosphere for animals. It's more like an in and out rotating situation. He got his first and only shot here. Like I said they did a good job, but I wanted a place that made me feel like my pet was their own baby.
