My cousin introduced me to Tassa Roti Shop on Powers Ferry Road a few weeks ago for the first time and the roti at Tassa is the truth! I haven't tried any of their other offerings but other customers were indulging and looked pleased.

Pros: Fresh, Authentic West Indian Roti
Great Trini food. Soca music. Happy People. Laid back atmosphere. What's not to love?
Tassa Roti Shop is the best Trinidadian food in town. The staff are always very friendly and eating there feels like home. 2 thumbs up and I highly

I'm a New Jersey native that has grown up eating alot of ethnic food. Carribbean and Dominican being the biggest and I must say....This place has got me. The roti is incredible and and very flavorful and not dry like some places. Also, very good prices and portions. This is probably one of the best places Ive had since moving here 2 years ago. I have tried Jamaica Mi Home in Austell and they're food is also excellent. Now if you are not aware of the difference between Jamaican and Trini food here's the run down:
Trini uses a more dense rice and their peas and rice and actually real green peas and seazoned rice. Where as with Jamaican food the peas and rice are actually small brown beans that are actually very flavorful. Both offer stewed dishes and have a great stewed king fish. Also, Jamaicans offer a fried cabbage and sweet peppers medley with their dinners and Trini actually has a medley similar but includes a flat noodle both come with fried Plantains. Very, very good choice if your hungry, want something different, flavorful and inexpensive.

This is the BEST! If you are looking for a friendly atmosphere and great food, this is your place. Be careful though, because you might pass by the restaurant if you dont pay attention! The owners are Trinidadian and and they show it! The restaurant looks like a house with a Trini flag in the front. They have an awesome chicken and goat roti. Those are my favorite. They serve delicious doubles on saturday. But the buffet on sunday is great. The roti skins are really good. Try it! You will love it.
