Excellent place!!! The whole staff worked together as a team and after many different shoes that I tried on they found the right pair for me. The patience they showed me was outstanding!!!, I can be very difficult to work with as my feet

As a physical therapist, I appreciate the time they take to look at your gait and feet. My patients have been very pleased with the shoes they have gotten here.

I've been to other running stores where they put me on a treadmill to help me pick out the right shoes for me, but none of the others have given me as much feedback as Boulder Running Company did. I absolutely loved my shoes when I left and will probably be back in the future for more gear.

This store (and the shoes I bought) were both a perfect fit. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helped find the right pair of shoes for me. I tried at least four different shoes and even got to watch my own gait on video after a treadmill test. Plus, the salesman encouraged me to jog around the store to see how the shoes felt on pavement rather than just on the carpet inside the store.
This store met and exceeded my expectations for the shoe buying process and they have tons of other running gear for every level of runner.

This is a great store! I was expecting just running attire, but there is so much more! There is A LOT to choose from. Obviously they have plenty of running stuff, but also offer triathlon gear, as well as basic (athletic) outdoor-wear....and some accessories as well (ie bags, comfy shoes, comfy after-workout clothes.) It was nice to be in a store that was more than just athletic wear and gear!

I went into a local running store (not BRC) a few weeks ago looking for help with running shoes, bought the $95 shoes they recommended, and now my feet are killing me. I went back in and they told me that they put me in the wrong shoes.

Well, their return policy is that you can only return the shoes if you don't run outside in them. These felt fine when I ran inside several times, but after doing one long run outside (I only ran in the shoes outside 3 times and had them for 2 weeks), my feet were killing me. They told me that they would give me 40% off another pair of shoes (without crediting me for the first shoes), but I didn't think it was fair that they wanted me to pay to get more shoes when they admitted that they gave me the wrong shoes in the first place.

I was so angry that I decided I would rather pay full price for a new pair in another store than give the original store another cent of my money. I went to the Boulder Running Company in Littleton and told them what happened at the Runner's Roost. The salesman immediately got the owner help me. He had me try on 6 pairs of shoes, watched me run in the pairs that felt good, and then proceeded to take back the shoes that Runner's Roost sold me! I only had to pay a $28 difference. That's probably the coolest thing any store has ever done for me, and I will definitely buy everything I need for running there from now on. I will never shop at the other running store again.

Pros: Knowledgable Staff, Great Return Policy, Great Selection

Cons: I wish it were closer to my house.

The salesman I worked with was nice and seemed knowledgeable, but my feet were hurting after two weeks in my new running shoes. My podiatrist told me that they sold me a "straight" shaped shoe, even though my feet are "curved". I took them back and they remedied the situation with the right shaped shoes.

I have been to the Boulder Running Company in Littleton three times in the past ten months. The first two times they put me in shoes that didn't work very well for me. Maybe this wouldn't normally affect me to the point where I couldn't run at all, but I have been trying to get past IT Band Syndrome, and the shoes are making a huge difference. The people working there are very nice, and clearly love running, but it took three tries to get me into a shoe that lets me run. The third time the owner was the one who helped me out. I like the third shoe, but after 2 unsatisfactory shoe purchases, I didn't get any kind of break on the third shoe. If I had been able to run enough in the first few weeks after getting the first two pairs of shoes to realize that they were not the right shoes for me, I could have returned them. My ITBS prevented that, however, and I am disappointed that there was no concession given to what was at least partially the error of the store's workers. I feel I'll be better off from now on buying my shoes at places like Gart Brothers with no help at all, as I did before giving BRC. It worked for all the years before this, with better success and lower cost.

PROS: The owner is very knowledgable.
CONS: Higher prices, no guarantee they'll get you into the right shoe.
