Like other reviewers here I took advantage of the recent living social deal for Woksabi. I've been there twice before and had a good experience on those visits, unfortunately this time could not have been any more different. The meal itself was somewhat mixed. The rock shrimp tempura was excellent, but the sashimi ceviche was mediocre at best thanks to fish that was not sashimi quality, in my opinion. The entree was the sushi and sashimi platter.
Although my party enjoyed it, the sashimi once again had some questionable slices, and an unfortunate tendency towards being veiny. The real problem was our waitress. She was an older woman that I'd never seen there before, and seemed miserable from the moment we sat down. She did an okay job, but didn't say a word she didn't have to and grunted at anything said to her. Not an excellent waitress by any means, but nothing worth complaining about. That changed when the bill came.
As I said, we were using the living social deal. When the waitress returned, she informed us that the coupon had lowered the bill to $19.56 was below the restaurants somewhat ridiculous $20 limit for using a credit card. Thankfully, I had enough cash to cover the bill with me, but just enough. When she heard the ensuing conversation about this fact she gave us a dirty look, and proceeded to take the cash. She returned a moment later with the check folder and laid it on the table without a word. Obviously we were not comfortable with not leaving a tip. I suggested that we visit the cashier at the front of the restaurant, and see if a charge could be put on the card for the balance of the tip. If that didn't work I planned to run over to the adjacent Wawa and get the cash from an ATM. Before any of that could take place the waitress returned, picked up the check folder, and asked if she could take it. No one got the chance to respond before she started walking away, opened the folder, and whipped around to the table. she then said "So that's it? I don't get nothing?" I don't think I need to tell you everyone at my table was basically dumbstruck. I've been the unfortunate victim of some awful service before, but this was still a shock. I tried to be polite and asked about the possibility of charging the tip at the register. She shrugged and walked away while muttering to herself.
Obviously this was well past whether or not the woman was getting a tip. On our way out we asked for the manager, which happened to be the woman we were speaking to. We told her what had happened. Her response was to say that what the waitress had done was "very rude," and then stand there staring at us. When she realized we were expecting a slightly more substantial response she said "is there something I can do for you?" I'm not sure what she was expecting. Maybe she thought we were as tactless as her staff and would ask for a free meal. Either way, we told her we just thought she should know about how her customers were being treated and headed out.
Between the mixed quality of the fish, the stunningly rude waitress, and the, at best, ambivalent manager, I cannot stress how strongly I would recommend avoiding Woksabi. I can't say my experiences have all been this bad, but one visit can be more than enough to write a restaurant off for good, and this far surpassed anything I've ever had to put up with.

This place is absolutely horrible!!! I went here for takeout lunch today. I ordered a spicy yellowtail roll and a new philly roll and those 2 rolls cost me $16. Completely overpriced!! I wanted a philadelphia roll but they are too sophisicated for that. When I opened my food I saw that there were only six pieces of sushi per roll, kinda cheap if you ask me. For the amount of money I paid for this I would like I would have gotten at least 8 pieces to each roll. But moving on.....the "new" philly roll was just down right nasty!!! It tasted like lox rather than sushi salmon, there was this cheap behind piece of imiation crabmeat and some cucumber and cream cheese. From there I was turned off but I still attempted the yellowtail roll and that was just as bad!!! I have had a lot of sushi and I have never had seaweed be soggy before. That was the only thing that I would have considered to be fresh in the whole meal. So for $16 I had 2 pieces of sushi and a whole lot of disappointment. Please go somewhere else, because in my opinion this is some of the worst sushi I have ever had!! The worst is the chinese restaurants that think they can specialize in sushi because they are asian and the supermarkets who pre-package it. Woksabi falls right in there with them!!

This is a sister-store to Chow's, across the street. Woksabi is new to town, but Chow's has been here for 2 decades. And what a nice addition. The fish is fresh, the chefs are artistic, and the menu offers lots of options for fans of cooked foods, too!
