Our daughter attended Lifetime Montessori as a 3-4 yr old. We were looking for an enviroment that would stimulate her curiosity and nurture her development, and we definitely found that with Lifetime! Her teachers really cared about her as an individual and made sure that she was not only developing her practical life skills but also developing socially with the rest of the class. The kids seemed very happy at school and the community of families was great. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood and very safe -- unfortunately the Sandy Hook tragedy took place while our daughter was attending the school and I appreciated that they took additional steps immediately to make the environment even more secure. We would still be with the school if we hadn't moved out of the area.

Very expensive, nice facility, but the teacher we had wasn't very experienced and we found the quality of education lacking. Maybe we would have been happier with another classroom, but we didn't find the "management" very easy to deal with.

Business Response:

Dear Hilda, I can see that you felt you had an unsatisfactory experience at our school. My main goal is that all children love coming to our school and parents feel comfortable and confident in sending their children here. As I always state in my newsletters and emails, I welcome parent's concerns and questions about their child and/or experience at Lifetime Montessori School. I am sorry that you felt we could not discuss your concerns in person. Sincerely, Kristin Edwards Director

We have kids in both the toddler and primary programs at Lifetime Montessori. Both of our kids have flourished there. Along with the emphasis on math and verbal in the Montessori style, they have also picked up real life skills and have grown into responsible (and fun loving) kids. The director, teachers and staff are wonderful and all seem to have a real interest in helping every child grow. There are weekly emails from the teachers on what the kids have done during the week and the teachers are wonderful about answering questions through email and verbal communication. The director and admin staff are also excellent at communicating with the parents thru email, paper and in person. Our son, who was previously so shy and timid, has grown to be more comfortable in many situations and now will ask questions at circle time as well as sing/present in front of the class. The environment is amazing at the school as well. There is a large central courtyard of which all the classrooms surround. The classrooms have glass sliding doors that open to this courtyard which is bordered with garden areas for flowers, fruits and vegetables. In the back, there is a large grassy field with some great small hills for little ones to run up and down and a nice play structure that the kids all love. The classrooms themselves are are also what you would expect from a Montessori style school. They are large, clean and well organized with a good combination of stimulating Montessori activities. Overall, this school is a gem of a find and we're so happy to be a part of it.

I am delighted that my toddler attends Lifetime Montessori school. The nurturing environment and wonderful teachers have given her the skills and confidence to learn and grow on many levels. At 2 years old my daughter quickly learned the basics (counting, colors, shapes, enhanced vocabulary and communication) but she also has learned how to be part of a community and the importance of being kind to others. The children at LMS receive love and attention from their teachers, develop confidence to do tasks themselves, learn at their own pace and they have a LOT of fun. I highly recommend this school.

There have been so many aspects of our daughter's growth and development that we credit to Lifetime Montessori. The foundation of the curriculum is independence, respect and kindness towards others and things. It is wonderful, exciting and comforting to know and see your child mature into the independent, respectful, polite little person you strive for them to be all the while starting to read, write and do basic addition and subtraction at 3 years old! Montessori style was foreign to us before Lifetime. Now, we are enthusiastic about the teaching style and how it has benefited our daughter. Lifetime has prove to be a very good decision in our daughter's growth and development.

I love that my child is part of a loving and caring community. At 2 years old, he's become incredibly inquisitive about the world around him, as well as compassionate and independent. His teachers are patient and caring, supportive and encouraging and everyone at Lifetime takes a vested interest in his well being and progress. He's helping me clean around the house and set the table (a bonus!!) and is eager to use the "life skills" he's acquired through Montessori whenever he can.

Excellent teachers and curriculum. I am especially impressed with children doing things for themselves from start to finish which are age appropriate. This is absolutely inspiring and confidence building for my child. There is so much diversity at the school as well. The focus is on the world and the health of the environment. The technique is calm, creative and genuine which I can see in my child, it is truley amazing and rewarding to see this capability.
Thank you, Lifetime.

Message from Lifetime Montessori

We are one of four AMI accredited Montessori schools in San Diego County. Lifetime Montessori School endeavors to provide children ages 18 months - 12 years old with a full, stimulating and enriching experience based on Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) ideologies. Working hands-on with AMI Montessori materials and highly trained teachers, the child becomes a joyful and confident learner who knows they can accomplish anything they put their mind to.

Our school supports the child by collaborating with the community on every child's unique need. Our school supports the community by engaging, inspiring and educating the parents on a daily basis. Every community member is invited to participate in informative and stimulating events held at the school throughout the year. Each moment of the child's experience at Lifetime Montessori School encourages and allows them to reach this or her full potential.
