Food wasn't horrible but everything else was. Our server said no to every reasonable request we made. The cheese cake was so frozen it crunched.

My friends and I ordered the veggie plate at this Mexican haunt, located at the end of the Santa Monica Pier. The plate was lavishly piled with various Mexican eats; Enough food for three persons, and we were able to taste a little bit of

I went to this restaurant with some relatives a couple of Sundays ago. It was a hot day and we wanted to enjoy a margarita or cold beer by the ocean. I took my toddler son who was asleep in his stroller. They sat our group in the patio

I ate here today with my business group. Mariasol Cocina Mexicana is at the end of the Santa Monica Pier. Scenery is great, the pier is a great place to stroll along even when you live in the area.
I often wonder about places like this since I figure most of their business is going to be towards tourists and not so much geared towards locals.

I am a burrito lover so that is something I'll order often. Today I had a carnitas burrito ($10.95). It looked nice (and large) on the plate but it was pale in taste. Not bad, but not great, if you get what I mean. There are lots of other great places in town to get Mexican food but like I said, I think this place is geared towards the tourist market.

I'd give the chips and salsa a 4 on a scale of 1-10, 10 being fantastic. They were OK but there were lots of small pieces rather than large chips.

I believe parking on the pier is $6.00 and the restaurant does not validate. I parked in public lot 8 (free for 3 hours) and walked the pier. Better to burn of that burrito. :-)

Staff was friendly and prompt with bringing out food. Overall, service was fine. An afternoon on the pier makes everything much nicer.

PROS: On the Santa Monica Pier
CONS: No parking validation, small chips

The main courses seem a little overpriced at Mariasol, and to tell the truth I've never had them, but there are three great reasons to go there: queso fundido, stiff drinks, and the location. If you like cheese, you will die for the queso

I went here with coworkers today. The location is kind of nice, dining near the ocean certainly has it's charms. That said, our meals were really overpriced (especially for lunches) and subpar at best. One coworker described the fish tacos
