If you are looking for a relaxing place for dinner or drinks and appetizers in the Ken Caryl area, the Antler Cafe is great! We discovered it last week and it's now my favorite place for a local hangout. It's located in the country club of the Deer Creek Golf Club. We didn't feel out of place without our golf shoes or driving up in a Honda, though. The clientele didn't seem overly pretentious.

The dining room is pretty small - maybe 20 tables max - but the room is spacious and it doesn't feel cramped in the least. We chose a table near the fireplace so our son could play on the floor without being in the way of anyone. There's a big-screen TV above the fireplace and a small bar. There is outdoor seating that overlooks the golf course and foothills. The views, which you can also enjoy inside, are amazing!

We thought maybe the prices would be outrageous since it's connected to the golf club, but they're very reasonable. They have an extensive menu, too. I had an all-you-can-eat fish and chips dinner for $12 and my husband had a chicken dish from their Hawaiian section (there's about a half dozen Hawaiian dishes to choose from). My fish and chips were terrific, and my husband liked his dish, although the dressing on a small salad that came as a side was a little too spicy for him.

We're definitely going to become regulars here. BTW, we checked out the new Rox restaurant nearby and probably won't be going there. It's very loud and the food lacks some serious seasoning.
