Apple Blossom Nursery School

I appreciate the basic simplicity of schedule and atmosphere. Herbal teas, organic and vegetarian snacks and lunches with an emphasis on creative/exploratory play.
Gardens and nature is all around. My daughter enjoys her time there very much.

We are very impressed with what Apple Blossom Nursery School has given our son and daughter for the past 4 years. It is the best home away from home. The hands on loving care and attention to their individual needs is exceptional. I appreciate the structure, creativity and consistency the staff offers my children. The staff is wonderful; they listen to our concerns as well as give us feedback on our childrens development. They have a great play area inside as well as a lovely garden for the children to explore. The food is a bonus; they offer variety, organic and nutritious meals and snacks (accommodating for food allergies and intolerances). I would highly recommend Apple Blossom Nursery School. KM

Ever since our 4-year-old daughter started attending Apple Blossom, she has developed an interest in gardening, cooking, bird-watching and herbal tea-tasting. She also enjoys doing crafts, sing songs and dressing like a fairy at school. She often tells us how much fun is she has at school and how yummy the school lunch is.We like Apple Blossom's wooden furniture and toys, its earthy atmosphere and its organic vegetarian home-made food. We are happy that our daughter's first school provides her with an environmentally friendly learning experience and healthy diet. I enjoy watching she said " yeah" , when I tell her tomorrow is an Apple Blossom day.Nina

Both of my children have attended Apple Blossom and we couldn't be happier. It's really impressive how much they have gained from their experiences there. The environment is exceptionally positive and nurturing. The attention given to healthy food, choice of natural toys and daily rhythm is outstanding. I definitely recommend Apple Blossom.

My two little girls went to Apple Blossom Nursery School during the summer months of June-August, 2008. I volunteered there as a parent-helper for a day, and had a delightful time. The Waldorf-inspired environment is nurturing, beautiful, and natural. There are natural toys (wooden, silk, wool) for the children to enjoy, and a warm, cozy, home-like feeling. There were, on average, 5 children per 1 teacher / assistant, which is a good ratio, and hard to beat. There were creative arts and crafts offered daily, and a strong rhythm that the children could count on. A lovely backyard, with a garden and bunnies, tops it off. I definitely recommend Apple Blossom as high-quality care for your child(ren)!

My family met Carrie Riley, founder/lead teacher/director/amazing woman with children, when my daughter was two years old. Ida went to ABNS until she was five and ready to move on to kindergarten. She will begin first grade this year and she still gushes about Ms. Carrie and the wonderful experiences that she had at Apple Blossom. If we had it to all over again, we wouldn't change a thing. Apple Blossom provided a warm and magical home-away-from-home that we were so hoping for. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Carrie! Thanks for all of your love, advice, and for helping to mold Ida into the amazing little girl she is today. You and Apple Blossom are sincerely missed!

This preschool offers a warm, calm, and nurturing environment for children. My son has attended since last October and he has really enjoyed it. He looks forward to seeing his friends and teachers each day. I also love the emphasis this school puts on allowing children to experience and connect with nature each day. My son can now identify multiple plants and seems more tuned into the environment around him. In addition, my son's social skills have improved since attending Appleblossom and he has become much more outgoing and self-confident.

This nursery school is a warm, safe, wonderful place. The teachers are professionals who view working with young children as their true calling. Our daughter has blossomed into a confident preschooler here. We love the fact that they serve organic food and focus so much on the natural world. Our daughter now can identify many of the plants in our neighborhood. She has made great friends, and we have met wonderful families. We highly recommend this impressive school.

My daughter has been going to Apple Blossom for two years now, and it's been a great experience for both of us. It's such a blessing to have such a warm, nurturing environment for her to spend her time away from home. This is a place where a child's natural curiosity is met with enthusiasm and mindfulness. The children's days are filled with stories and songs, art, cooking, and exploring the natural world from bird's nests to seashells, all within a structured and consistent rhythm. My daughter has learned and grown so much in her time there. I can't imagine a more positive environment for a young child.
