WOW these guys are great ! worked on a project on a very scary hill side i had doughts on if it could even bee done but these guys were the hardest working crew i have ever seem. They ran onto a few problems but the client was not charged any extra. this firm is some one you need to know, and the owner is super nice.

This outfit did some work in my basement to deal with shoring up the load bearing wall--you don't want them to work in yours. They didn't attach any of the new structure either to the house or to the ground. It was free to fall down with the first earthquake. They offered a warranty on their work, which I would have needed had the house gotten a shaking. Had to get another contractor in to fix what they were supposed to do right.

Ive have worked alongside Matvey Construction for the past few years. Matveys positive attitude with each job is amazing. This is a very dependable and honest contractor. I would recommend Matvey Construction to anyone that has any foundation concerns with their home or business. It truly is a pleasure doing business with you and your company. Matvey Construction worked with our co -op to inspect our building for water damage, designed a repair plan and then completed the work within the time line that was projected. The owner, Mat, was willing to meet with our board on his own time, answered our calls and questions very quickly and gave full reports of the work done. His crew cleaned up after themselves daily, and were respectful of our building and residents. In the end, their work exceeded our expectations and we've been very satisfied with the results. Our co-op has continued to use their services and highly recommend this firm to others.

Matvey construction has done a couple of sizable jobs for our 102 year old building. Mat and his crew make extremely large and heavy-duty jobs seem easy. Their work is quick but thorough, and I would highly recommend them to anybody needing work done around water permeation issues or building structure.

Matvey Construction has been an incredible help to us and our building. We're a multi unit co-op building with a leaking and basement and a small budget. We carefully selected a contractor and paid a lot of money for a repair that ultimately did not fix the problem - so frustrating. Second time around, thankfully, we were referred to Matvey Contruction.
Mat and his team completed a detailed water analysis of our building and then a full basement repair, including re-leveling the building, a partial seismic retrofit and a stairwell repair. Mat's understanding of structural analysis and repairs is unparalleled - they REALLY understand what is going on in a building that is failing - and how to fix it.
Above and beyond the high quality and affordable work they did for us, the truly great thing about this firm is the level of customer service and care they put into our project. Mat has patiently addressed all of our questions and explained every step of the project along the way both to our Board and also to the actual building tenants at a building-wide meeting. He's spent many evening hours in long meetings with us explaining the details, and maintained clear communication with us throughout the length of the project. Now their project is complete, and he has continued to help us with (no cost) advice and guidance as we address another problem that was uncovered as part of the water analysis.
Basically this firm was and is extremely upfront and trustworthy, and truly acted with our best interests at heart. In the vast and often confusing world of selecting a construction firm, they are one of the best. I would work with them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone.

The crew was very professional, completed the job in the specified timeline and stayed witin the budget The quality of the work was impressive.
Mat is everything you could want in a contractor. He is trustworthy, creative, and hard working. His ideas saved us thousands of dollars on a project that was initially overwhelming. Our foundation needed pin piles and we wanted to update the kitchen and add a deck so we decided to do all projects concurrently. Throughout the months that Mat and his team were working at our house they were always punctual, professional, and courteous. Mat was a gift to us and continues to be. He is smart, insightful, available, and personable. He will be my first call for any further work we do on this house and I recommend him without hesitation.
It was the best experience I have had dealing with a construction company or people. He showed up when he said he would, as well as completed the job when he said he would. He knew my project needed to be finished quickly, and he worked very hard to make that happen. He did a perfect job, his work was flawless. I wouldn't use anyone else. Thank you.
We had a very large project with significant electrical, plumbing and other finishing work that needed to be done and Matvey Construction not only was very helpful in accommodating our needs, but completed the project in a very timely manner and fashion.
We have just completed a new addition to our home which was built in the 1940's. Our original plan was to have Matvey construction add a 17 X 17 room off of our existing 10 X 17 kitchen and dining area and redo the existing kitchen from the bare walls. We had made some slight changes to our existing blueprints and there was a misunderstanding of the dimensions of the room in the very beginning but within 24 hours Matt had made the changes that were needed and continued on with the job. Didn't miss a beat. In the midst of the project we decided since we were already into the project this far and the bathroom was just on the other side of one of the walls that was being ripped out we should redo the bathroom at the same time. Not a problem, Matt came back with a bid and incorporated the project without second thought.
As with any old construction there are always things that come up, and as quickly as they came up Matt addressed them, gave us his thoughts and suggestions and moved on without delay. Believe me we seemed to encounter a few as is the case with old electrical and plumbing.
The project was completed on time, with the addition of the bathroom change and is awesome.
We all have heard the horror stories of the contractors and how the family falls apart during a remodel and I kept waiting for something, anything, to go crazy and it never did. Matt was so easy to work with. There were times when I wondered if he ever lost his calm but never experienced it. I cannot say enough good things about Matt and how he does his job. He was timely, thorough and very easy to work with.
If you ever get the opportunity to do business with Matt, I can assure it will be a pleasant one.
I was pleased. I plan to discuss other projects with the contract but I haven't had a chance.
Matvey Construction was organized and very thorough in explaining how the job would be handled. He handled our concerns and was very courteous. He finished the job in a timely fashion.
