Not a fan of Park Meadows Mall, but Brio was really good. I would deal with the parking lot to go back.

James at Brio's Park Meadow location has raised the bar on exceptional service.

Brio has mastered the "sta-get-tee" or "Beggars Purse" pasta, tragically only offered one day a week (Thursdays).
I travel a lot and was back in town, coveting this pasta. As a favor, the kitchen went through the extra prep to make it for me. James was working a large seating party that evening but still accommodated me.

Pretty rare these days to see service go above and beyond.

The pasta was perfection, the consistency of the beggars purses is phenomenal, the sauce is complimentary sensation of pepper, bacon, seasoning, and light cream.
Tip: ask for extra sauce.

I like their Chianti by the glass (the one listed half-way down the wine list), it's flavorful and smooth without overpowering the pasta.

I admit, I haven't tried anything else on the menu to know what else may rate 5 stars. But if James is working, remember to request his section for 5 star service.

This place is on my top 5 Denver favorites.

I'm not sure what these others are talking about. I supppose you could walk into any business and find fault if that's what you want to see.\r
I have been eating at Brio at least monthly since they opened two years ago. I have never hd

Good food in a beautiful setting. The shrimp and lobster linguine is heavenly. It's a giant step up from the former tenant of this space (say no more).

I've been to the Brio a few times and I am never disappointed. I love the steak salad. Nice wine list, great ambiance and the service was good. I also love the lobster bisque!

OY, get it together Brio! We went on Aug 15th /w out of town guests. Seated well past reservation time. Took forever to order, than excruciating time before food served. Lasagna & calamari was good but my mushroom ravioli was totally burned to the plate and my sister's risotto was a doughy lump. Management seemed not to have a clue how to resolve this and actually could be seen at their station whispering and pointing at our table as if WE were the problem. Only the bad food was comped. I contacted the corporate HQ who were great, sent coupons and promised to get the entire meal comped. That we haven't seen yet but could still happen.
Go to Maggianos for good italian & great service.

We had a surprise lunch there on Saturday and the staff was awesome in helping us! They did balloons and seated us in an area that is sectioned off by curtains, etc. it was great. The service was much better this time around as the first time I went a few months ago I think they were still trying to figure it all out. I would recommend trying this place and then make your own "review"!!!

Pros: Spinach n Artichoke Dip is AWESOME

This place seems to have promise but they MUST fix serious problems with the service. The suggestions below are based on both the service we rec'd this evening (4/20) and what I observed throughout the restaurant.

(1) A staff member should not walk through the restaurant with a dull expression on his face -- yawning .... mouth wide open.

(2) In a place that calls iitself a "Grille" and if a steak is cooked to order, do not disappear before the customer can cut it and check it. If the customer has to waive down another waiter to send it back, you have failed to take care of your customer. And yes, RARE really means a cool red center.

(3) The glasses on the table no longer contain anything to drink. This is a pretty good clue that maybe the customers might want another drink.

Brio has the potential to be a fine restaurant but it suffers from training issues that only management can address.

I met a friend for lunch there, and the food was delicious. That is the good part. The hosts, as the other reviewers wrote, were clueless, and needed help. There were actually lots of waiters by the host stand but for some reason they were unwilling or unable to help. So, after a long and wierd wait at the door, we were shown to a nearly empty dining room. Once there we were well taken care of. Our server helped with the large menu, but our food was delivered at different times, my pizza first, my friends rissoto about 10 minutes later, and no one said a word or apologized, or came by at all for that matter. The dining room was still half empty, and the server reappeared and dropped off our check. So we paid and left. Maybe they need a little time to figure it out, I heard it is a new restaurant. If we go back, but we'll either sit in the bar, or ask our server if we can eat at the same time. For a restaurant in the mall the food was better than we thought, but it is hard to get to and hard to park, so I am not sure we'd chance the service again.

I really enjoyed my experience here. The restaurant was beautiful and the hostess very friendly. I went on a Tuesday night and there was immediate seating available. It was a warm evening so we decided to sit on the patio where we could watch the sunset. There was a waiter in training with our waitress but he was very friendly and did a great job for his first day. Our waitress was very attentive and answered all my questions about the menu and wine selections. I chose the grilled salmon with tomatoes. It was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are generous so I did not have room for dessert. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try a new restaurant with a beautiful environment.

The food was really good, but the service was very bad. The wait was long. There were many open tables and hostess was unable to provide a good estimate for when we were to be seated. The waiter also didn't seem to be familiar with the menu. Everyone's food came out at different times. I wouldn't recommend this place until they fix the service problems.

The menu is extensive and the food is great.Well prepared and flavorful.

But this restaurant is frustrating beyond belief. The hostesses have no experience in customer service or time. The only answer we could get out of them when wondering how much longer it would be to sit even though there were several open tables in the restaurant was "in a little while". The servers and busers do not know the menu and even mispronounce the meals. So don't bother asking for a recommendation. The bar seems to be understaffed as well, it took us 20 minutes to get our drinks we ordered. And forget wanting water - we couldn't even get it from the buser.

The management seems to be slow here in the customer service recovery. After several mess ups including dessert trays missing some of the entries, we could not get some sort of make-up for our evening. One would think when they ordered a 4 flavor creme brulee samper that arrived with ony 2 flavors left that it might be taken off the bill or a cup of coffee could be offered for free. But no such luck. We are just expected to pay for their poor planning. The second time we tried this restaurant, again the dessert tray ran out. So order early or expect to go out for ice cream afterwards.
