Best Gym, Best Workout, Bar None.

by D VACC

I recently attended Officer Candidates School of the U.S. Marine Corps and needless to say the physical training that takes place there is intense and extremely challenging. Prior to leaving, I joined WFBC and these guys had me in tip-top shape in no time. The training principles are purely military but don't be intimidated by the ethos, it's fun, motivating and results are rewarding.

The gym is great for anybody because the instructors thrive on maximizing your potential. They show no mercy but they do it with a smile. You can count on getting a good laugh in the class but thats if you can catch your breathe. Let them know your goals and they will be sure to get you there. Trust me.

Pros: Fun, Motivational, Challenging

Cons: Addicting

Are you a Warrior?

by thisplacerocks

I joined this gym not really knowing what to expect. What I experienced was a workout that continues to challenge me to the point that I'm not sure I can continue. But I do, and at the end of each class, I really feel like I've accomplished something. I had worked out with a personal trainer before and tried the gym on my own. In both cases, I didn't really see the results I was hoping for. With WFBC, I feel stronger, have more endurance, and have greater confidence in just a few months. Alex and Ruben are simply amazing. They are tough (seriously tough) but motivating. They work with everyone, regardless of fitness level, to make sure every person is challenged. They won't let you quit. They get that extra rep or that additional lap out of you, even when you don't think you have the strength or endurance to do it. The other warriors are supportive and help you get through the workout - after all, we're all in it together.

I was never excited about going to the gym. Now, I am. I look forward to seeing how - or if - I am going to get through the next class. If you are looking for a different workout, something that will challenge you like never before, give Warrior Fitness Boot Camp a try! We'll be there to cheer you on!

Pros: Best instructors, every day is a new challenge

Satisfaction Guaranteed!!

by Dearsabs

If gyms are boring and expensive for you, you would love a personal trainer but its too expensive, YOU WANT TO LOOK GOOD AND FEEL GOOD, you want a body that will make you efficient in other sports, this is where you come to get a workout! Classes are small and the training is personalized. You have specific needs, you tell Alex and Ruben and they will remember the next time they see you. I started here in the summer of 2009 and I don't remember the last time I felt so positive about being overall healthy!! I always look forward to the class because every class is slightly different and challenging. I always leave feeling I had a great workout! YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH HERE. Take a trial class and judge for yourself!

Pros: Small classes, variety in workouts and affordable!

Cons: Wish it was open on Sundays too!

Do you lie to the sales women about your dress size?

by Blondie2009

I am the girl that constantly shops...I love shoes. I love shoes because unlike clothes the size never changes, you can eat pizza and they still fit, you can even borrow your skinny friend's shoes (can't do that with jeans!), they make you feel fabulous & fashionable! Then I got engaged and what is the one item you see the least of on your wedding day....your shoes. What do the guests see the most of - that is right YOU! So I signed up for bootcamp about two months before my fairytale wedding. I spent two years prior doing spin classes 4 times a week and various step classes and my body stayed the same - not gaining and not losing. I basically just figured that I was meant to be curvaceous as we nicely call it for the rest of my life. That is until I started to think about how I wanted to feel on our wedding day. I knew I was going to be extremely happy and glowing but was I going to have the confidence to be actually proud and feel good about the way I looked. My fianc? had a friend that did Warrior Fitness Boot Camp who lost 30 pounds and it really motivated me to try it. I was so nervous about going for the first time but that is honestly the hardest part. Once you get there everyone is so friendly and are there to motivate you and they really all want to see you succeed at reaching your own personal goals whatever it may be. Some people are training for marathons/sports and others are trying to fit into their skinny jeans by Friday. There are many different forms of athleticism there (men, females, old, young, jocks, people that wear pink all of the time) and Alex and Ruben (the Marines) do an amazing job at making everyone work their own personal hardest. They are truly invested in you feeling good about yourself and being the rock star that you are. The best part is that the class goes super fast! I can remember being in spin classes at my old gym and feeling like I was there for at least 30 minutes and then look up to see that only five minutes went by. Not in boot camp - they keep you motivated and focused so you are never bored and they come up with some crazy exercises. The most important part of all of this is that it works! I went down two dress sizes for the wedding, I looked toned and I felt amazing and really proud that I accomplished my goal. Smallest I have ever been!! Hell yeah I rocked a bikini on the honeymoon! Now that the wedding is over I still go. I just signed up for an unlimited package for three months! It does not matter what you look like, where you work, where you live - once you are there we are all the same...Warriors!

Come rock out with us and let us cheer you on!

Pros: Friendship, strength, confidence, clothes fit!!

I'm back!!!

by bunias

I took a month off from WFBC only due to foot surgery I thought I was going to have.

As soon as I decided against the surgery I signed up again. My first round was a 10 pack. This time I'm on a 30 pack session and next time I'll be signing up for the unlimited.

My first day back was yesterday and WOW is about all I can say. My fellow warriors I left a month ago look GREAT and Ruben and Alex are still... well, Ruben and Alex. I thought maybe I'd get a slight break since it was my first day back in a month, but of course, I should've known better!!! =)

The class was intense and at times I thought I was going to die, but as always, I made it out alive and in better form than I was when I walked in an hour before.

It was great to see familiar faces and new ones.

If you're wondering if WFBC is for you, the answer is absolutely YES.
Believe me, I am no picture of fitness and not only did I make it through my first 10 session package, but I signed up for this 30 session set!!! So, the "unfit," "low fit," "barely fit," "maybe fit," "kinda fit" person CAN do this and will be better and stronger because of WFBC.

And if you think you may be TOO fit for WFBC, think again. Alex and Ruben will come up with ways to challenge even the creme de la creme.

Pros: Ruben and Alex, your fellow warriors, & the workouts

Unique Workout!

by KWatson

As an avid runner and gym-goer I wanted to try something new and different. I came across Warrior Fitness Boot Camp online, tried a class and have been back 3-4 times a weeks since! Everyone is super nice and motivating, the facility is gorgeous and easy to get to, the workouts are intense, competitive and fun, and most importantly the instructors, Alex and Ruben, are fantastic! Even though they have to be tough on us to push us through our workout, they are great guys and I really feel like they want each and every person to succeed.

Goodbye Beer Belly!!!

by sroot17

Warrior Fitness Boot Camp is all around the best, most intense workout you will ever have. This workout will push you to your limits and beyond and you will definitely see results!! I?ve been hitting the gym for years and years and I have never had a workout as great as I do at WFBC. The workouts are high intensity full body workouts consisting of cardio vascular exercises, weight training, and calisthenics and the best part is that no two classes are the same. .. oh and did I mention the full blown obstacle course that totally rocks! Alex and Ruben are hands down the best trainers around and their motivation alone is priceless. If you want to burn fat, build muscle and get totally tone and ripped come to WFBC and be prepared to get in the best shape of your life!

an incredibly awesome workout!

by blovin

WOW! is one word to describe this awesome workout. Do you think you're in shape? well i did. you have to work out just to work out here. For those, like me who need motivation to make it through the course, this is the place for you. The team: two former Marines who don't give in to whiners. They will motivate you and guide you through, just as in the real boot camp they've experienced. No Person left behind is the motto. The Camaraderie in the class is unbelievable. Everybody helps everybody. i cannot wait to go back!
thanks guys!

Toughest and best workout

by sarazervos

I did a web search for bootcamps in NYC, as my friend in LA had been ranting about her body transformation due to a bootcamp series out there...Warrior Fitness Bootcamp caught my eye and I gave it a try. I have had varying periods of good fitness in the past 15 years (I'm 39 now) but felt like I needed some shock treatment. The first three weeks were definitely a shock to my body, but I could tell immediately that commitment to this place would pay off in size, and quickly.
The instructors are the main driver of the success (Alex and Ruben), they create an atmosphere of partnership - between them and us warriors, and between warriors - that helps everyone get pushed to their own maximum ability. They somehow manage to be authoritative, respectful, and all around nice guys at the same time. This combination makes us all attempt what they ask us to do, even if we think it's impossible. And usually, it's not impossible!
I am in classes with people of varying abilities, but I aspire to be in the shape of the people who have been doing this class for a long time (there are those here for 4 years!!!). Whether I'm doing my version of a turbo bear crawl around the track, or barely slogging up the stairs, my fellow warriors are cheering me on (in the midst of their own pouring sweat and gasps). As time progresses, I see all of our fitness levels climbing, no matter where we started.
While I might sigh with a bit of dread in the hour before I head to the class, I find I can't stand not having my 3x a week. My energy level has increased overall, my strength has improved amazingly, and I've got some serious muscle tone - people do stop me in the office corridor and ask what I have been doing to look so great. WOOHOO!
I highly recommend this class to people who want a positive atmosphere but who are also willing to work hard to get great results.

Pros: instructors, hours of classes, attitude

Cons: freakin stairs

Best Workout Ever

by mag2311

I was lucky enough to track this place down a few months ago. I went from going 3 days a week to 5 and I cannot get enough of it. Not only do you see results but you know you are achieving what you want when you are there. Alex and Ruben are 2 of the most loyal and dedicated trainers I have ever met! Class size is small and you will always get a lot of attention. You are able to meet a lot of wonderful people and motivate each other during the entire hour. I highly recommended anyone, looking for a great workout, wonderful results and motivation to check WFBC out. YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!

Best Workout in the City

by pil021

Warrior Fitness Boot Camp is terrific, Hands down the best workout that I've ever had. I've tried trainers, classes at gyms all over the city, the buddy system, and nothing has worked for me like this place does. The trainers are former marines who know exactly how to motivate you and keep you coming back for more. The workouts are constantly changing, but are always challenging and fun. And it is a great place to meet great people -- the people in the classes are encouraging, enthusiastic and excited to be there. The different exercises/workouts - from the obstacles in the course to stairs to sit-ups to weight training - ensure that you get a full-body workout every time you go. I've left every workout exhausted, but happy that I went. I highly recommend it.

Pros: the trainers, the workout, the people

Cons: none

Awesome workout

by mhd8

Warrior Fitness Boot Camp is an awesome place for a fun and challenging workout. The trainers are former marines and know how to motivate and push you to do things you never thought you would be able to do - and it doesn't matter if you're a seasoned athlete or working out for the very first time. They also know how to mix it up - I have never been bored during a class. The people that work out at Warrior are a great group - everyone works hard and is extremely encouraging of each other. The equipment is great - everything is brand new and includes things you cannot find anywhere else. I have had great results from working out at Warrior Fitness Boot Camp and highly recommend it to everyone.

Pros: the workout, the people, the equipment

What a Great Experience!!!

by bubblesmcgee

An incredible workout! Warrior Fitness Boot Camp is a great way to get into better shape, no matter what your current fitness level. Each workout is different and challenging and leaves me looking forward to the next. The workouts are demanding and exhausting and at the end of each class, I?m left with an amazing sense of accomplishment for having given my body such a great workout. The people in my classes, my fellow Warriors, are incredibly friendly and encouraging and I have felt accepted by them from Day 1. Before WFBC, I had never been to a gym or exercise classes where everyone is non-judgmental, genuinely supportive, and cheers each other on. Alex and Ruben are the WFBC Drill Instructors and they have an impressive ability to motivate and guide students with just the right amount of pushing and encouraging. They?re funny, friendly, and inspiring, and during each workout, they push you to squeeze out just one more rep or keep going for just a few more seconds; they?re great at getting maximum results! Alex and Ruben always push you to do better and they really care about each Warrior?s success. I noticed a change in my body and muscle tone very quickly and I?m looking forward to continuing at WFBC and seeing even more amazing results! I think anyone who wants to improve their body and fitness level (no matter what your shape or size) will get a fantastic workout at Warrior Fitness Boot Camp!

Pros: excellent instructors, great atmosphere, amazing and fast results

Cons: none at all

Results! Results! Results!

by jello123

I work out all the time but 4 months before my wedding I wanted to kick it in to high gear so I joined this bootcamp. Nothing could've prepared me for the total body transformation! I lost 15 pounds, went down two whole sizes and I now have a six pack and cut arms for the first time in my life despite constant trips to the gym. Simply put, nothing you do on your own or in weight lifting and spin classes can ever match the intensity or results of these work outs. People in class are super friendly, the trainers are encouraging, and every routine is different so never plateau. The best part? Constant compliments on my figure. I LOVE IT!!!!

Pros: Everything

Cons: None

It really works, wow!

by oak1946

Can it really be true that I lost 12 pounds in only 2 months of doing this? Well, I am pleased to say that this boot camp really works.

My friend convinced me to do this and I am eternally thankful to her. I am an avid hiker, but that is the extent of my exercise regimen. I guess not anymore. I can now climb walls (the tall one still is a headache for me), complete monkey bars, run much faster than before, and even do rigorous Marine Corps stuff such as pushups and squat thrusts. Want to know what a squat thrust is? Find out for yourself. I had to.

The 2 Marines are just too great. They are motivating and inspiring and down right cool. I also like to brag to my friends that I have real Marines training me. It just makes me sound more bad-ass.

Trust me, this place is the real deal.

Pros: Marines, clean gym, lost weight

Cons: squat thrusts

Hands Down Best Gym in NYC

by nchrisb

Awesome workouts. I've been a fitness fanatic for 18 years and it takes a lot to keep my attention, kick my butt and keep me coming back. Alex and Ruben are former marines and it shows! They know how to get you to go that extra rep (pushup, squat thrust, run up the stairs) but also know where your limits are so you have a safe work out. They also provide lots of personal attention to make sure I get things right and continue to improve. Having been a member of several gyms in the city I'm always looking for the best workout and am thrilled to say I have found it at Warrior. The workouts are killer and always changing, trainers excellent, facility great and the clientele friendly and supportive. Every once in awhile I try to intersperse a spin or power boxing class into my week but still nothing satisfies me like a session at WFBC. Bottom line, I finally found a gym that not only meets my needs but exceeds my expectations.

Pros: Challenging, great trainers, supportive and friendly clientele, fun

Cons: None

BEST workout in the city. Possibly universe.

by Dune45

This place is about sheer dedication to giving you the best workout on earth while getting you to reach your personal bests. And then some.

Motivation, energy and expertise can be found here in droves and is totally infectious. You'll find yourself doing things you never thought possible and eagerly reaching for the next level from there. And you'll be doing this under the fine care and spirited push from two of the greatest guys in business while the rest of your team cheers you on. And you'll NEVER DO THE SAME WORKOUT TWICE.

Warrior Fitness is extremely hands-on and personal. Between the in-house obstacle course and the relentless creativity of Ruben and Alex to push each individual to the best of their own capacity, your time there is always fresh and energized.

Have never been one for group classes or team sports, but the camraderie built by Warrior Fitness happens to be a benefit equally as valuable as being in the best shape have ever been in. Get ready to sweat, get ready to yell, get ready to surpass goals and find yourself laughing and learning while you do.

It only takes a few days, but it soon becomes addictive. Have always been fit and trained in a number of different formats, however not long after joining, I soon noticed changes in my posture, muscle tone and energy -- as did everyone around me.

I've seen all shapes, sizes and conditions come through the door, and have seen Alex and Ruben work to deliver each and every one of us the same intensity and drive while working to our individual levels. Over time, I've also seen each one of us change for the better. My sixty minutes with Ruben and Alex easily qualifies as my favorite part of the day, but have also noticed that the overall experience has notched up the quality of my life in general.

Pros: Trainers, motivation, energy, personalized, obstacle course, good solid fun.

Cons: None whatsoever.

The Best Workout in NYC

by poprock

Warrior Fitness Boot Camp is amazing. If you're in to feeling and looking fit, there's no other NYC workout like it. It's no fail. I'm a dedicated client and can't imagine ever finding another gym that can keep me in the shape I'm in now. I would not consider myself a natural athlete, but this workout has been great ---and can be for anyone (even people not in good physical shape before they sign up).. It's impossibly challenging, painfully fun, and adrenaline forming. I LOVE IT. Run.. don't walk to Warrior Fitness and sign up asap. Seriously.

Pros: You'll be in the best shape of your life.

Cons: There's no way to "fake" that you workout to impress people. You have to do it.

Immediate Results!

by Urbangroove

I can't say enough about Warrior Fitness Boot Camp. At first, I was skeptical but after one class I felt stronger, more toned and really charged. Alex and Ruben are amazing and really want you to get results which is why they push you so hard. I'm not gonna lie, the work out is intense but you will never experience anything else like it. Gyms are fine but this is like having a personal trainer along with the camaraderie of fellow warriors who push you to your highest potential. It's a great environment. Everyone should try it at least once especially since they offer the first class free! So there's no excuse!!

Become a Warrior!

by indre

Warrior Fitness Boot Camp is simply the best gym around. Whether you're in excellent shape or just a beginner, you will experience a workout that is completely challenging, exciting, and life-changing. If you commit yourself to this program and show up 3-4x a week regularly, there is no way that you won't get fit.

The trainers, Alex and Ruben, are bona fide Marines and certified fitness instructors. They also happen to be extraordinary motivators and talented teachers. The workouts are grueling and intense, but these guys will inspire you to get through them. In fact, you'll even have fun doing them, and you'll find yourself looking forward to each gym session.

This gym is a little more expensive than the rest, but you will totally get your money's worth. Not only that, but you will make great new friends, get the attention and care of a personal trainer despite being in a group session (Ruben and Alex quickly familiarize themselves with each member's capabilities and work with each member accordingly), and get in the best condition you've ever been in. Sure, you've got to work hard and commit yourself to the program, but the rewards are many and ongoing.

Note to fitness beginners: do not be afraid of trying this program! Anyone can join. It will be hard at first (perhaps one of the hardest things you've ever done), but the support and encouragement from Alex and Ruben and your fellow gym-mates will help you achieve your goals and go even farther. As someone who had never belonged to a gym before and who had never been in shape, I have become totally addicted to this place. It is truly the best part of my day, and something I can't live without.

Pros: Awesome trainers, awesome gym-mates, awesome results

Cons: None whatsoever

Best workout in NYC!

by sbsanche

Alright so I am a pretty tough critic when it comes to working out. I've done it all... gym memberships, personal training, aerobics, cardio barre... and hands down, Ruben and Alex have the best workout program in New York City. I challenge anyone to come up with a harder workout... and not only that, but class is fun. These guys have great attitudes, great music, a beautiful new space, and they push you to bring out the warrior in you. I look forward to going to class, and the environment couldn't be more supportive. I've gone from a size 10 to a size 6... uh, need better results? Seriously, try a class... first one's free!

Pros: Great workout, supportive environment, clean facility

Best workout in NYC!

by nmdavis

There are 4 reasons that Warrior Fitness Bootcamp the best workout in the city:

1. The workout is awesome -- always different, always challenging. You'll never again be bored at the gym -- in fact, you won't have time to be bored, or sometimes even catch your breath! And it's a functional workout -- you're not just training your bicep or your quads. You're training your entire body to go further and perform.

2 &3. The 2 marines chasing you around the gym are dedicated to ensuring that you are meeting your goals. Ruben and Alex do an incredible job of not only training each of their Warriors, but also motivating their them and assessing their progress, as well as knowing just what to do to get each individual to push him or herself a little harder, a little further, a little faster. They care about each and every Warrior -- and that makes all the difference. They also understand not only how our bodies work, and how each of our bodies work differently. They work with each Warrior to ensure that his or her goals are being met and can also tailor the workout to go easy on any physical issues (like knee problems) that someone may have.

4. The Warriors themselves are fantastic support. It's almost a team sport -- except that you are ultimately performing for yourself and the one who gets to enjoy your results. Whether you are brand new to WFBC or have been going forever, you're part of the team from day one; you will be supported and included by your fellow Warriors, and they will look to you for the same. It's an environment that encourages high performance regardless of your own competitive nature.

I've been going to gyms for years, and have even attended other bootcamps. WFBC is *by far* the best workout to be had. And you don't have to be an incredible athelete to join -- there are all types here, and all ages. Some of us are more athletic than others, but we all keep coming back because no other workout compares.

Try it once; you'll be hooked!

Pros: Awesome workout, great atmosphere, fantastic results

Workout that inspires seasoned athletes and beginners alike!

by lizfriesell

I've done every kind of workout you can think of and while they all had their benefits, I always lost my motivation to push myself after a while. NOT this time. Warrior Fitness Boot Camp has provided me with a team, a workout family of sorts, and it is this support that forces me to strive to do my best in class every day. Each class that I participate in has people who motivate me to do my best, and in turn I also motivate people to do theirs. No Man Is Left Behind! Ruben and Alex take pride in learning who each Warrior is and in turn, they strive to push each person to their own personal bests. There is no "abuse" in these classes, only energy and encouragement and the occasional extra push when Ruben and Alex know you aren't trying your hardest to complete the task at hand. It's an inspirational workout and addictive to boot. There's nothing like Warrior endorphins to start the day off right!

Pros: Staff, Team Atmosphere, Environment, Personalized Attention, Results!

Must do workout to see results!

by jjlee3

I have done many workouts and nothing compares to Warrior Fitness Boot Camp! I love everything about this place, especially because I have slimmed down and seen visible results.

First, this place is amazing. It's huge and pretty awe-inspiring with bright colors, cool Marine Corps stuff and a pretty daunting obstacle course. But the real deal are the 2 Marines kicking our butts. Alex and Ruben are motivating and funny, but most importantly, they care about my workout and my goals and tailor my workout to what is important to me.

I also never could have imagined the comraderie that exists at this gym. People are cheering for you and helping you and pushing you to your highest potential. I look forward to seeing my bootcamp buddies endure the intense workout with me whenever I go.

I am a lifelong member here. It's THAT good.

Pros: Workout, trainers, fun obstacle course, and cleanliness
