The cons say it all. You pay to eat like its a buffett but you get a smaller portions and its not unlimited. They charge you for things that should have came with your food (i.e corn) plus hidden charges like gratutiuty for 4 people. The servers never check back or refill drinks. Tyrone has a good heart His wife has a nasty attitude. It could be so much more successful if they could get someone who KNOWS what they are doing.
The food & drinks are a little pricey, but good. The days they are opened vary the go days being closed involuntarily then open with 2 servers.
Best thing to do is call in & order take out!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!! The owner is a total rip-off artist. We ordered dinner Sunday. We went there because we had a Gift Certificate for $25 off a minimum purchase of $35. We received very small portions. My wife had crawfish that was in the menu for $4.99 per pound. We had our meal and when the bill came so did the problems. The bill showed the crawfish at $5.99 per pound. When I questioned this the waitress said that there was a disclaimer at the register saying that due to market prices crawfish were $5.99 per pound. WELL WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US THAT WHEN WE ORDERED!!! HOW COULD WE KNOW WHAT IS POSTED AT THE REGISTER!!! Then we presented our Gift Certificate and were told that we had to spend $60.00 to get the $25.00 off. ANOTHER RIP OFF!!! THIS PLACE SHOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS!! All they care about is making a buck and screw the customer. MY MESSAGE TO THE OWNERS: HOW DOES BANKRUPCY SOUND TO YOU?

I use to go and eat at A Taste Of New Orleans at least once a week. The food is awesome! I told so many friends and family memebers about the food. After a while the food was getting less and less! I ordered a Hot Sausage poboy(which is delicious) but there was only enough sausage to cover half of the poboy! The gumbo is delicious, but on the expensive side. What got me was when we got charged a cover charge to sit down and eat dinner and to really top it off, gratuity was added to the cover charge!!! I was absolutely done! There is no sign and the hostess or waitress does not tell you about the cover charge...you just get a Big surprise when you get your bill! The restaurant can be a success, but alot has to be changed! You have to keep your customers happy!!!

You know i was apprehensive after all the bad reviews on a Taste Of New Orleans. I went in Sat down and had their Gumbo and it was amazing. SO for dessert i ordered As the waitress calls it "ms. B's bread Pudding'" That was off the chain I've never tasted bread pudding like this, the smell alone draws you in and then once you take a bite of the bread pudding with the sweet rum sauce on top it's all over. I'm a customer for life. The owners come and sit down and talk to you and make you feel like your family which is truly how people from Louisiana are. I go in to the restaurant quite frequently and the Jennings are like a second family to me now. I wish people would quit bad mouthing this establishment because their isn't one thing bad about it.

The restaurant had that quaint little feeling of New Orleans. The food was sumptuous and the service was great. The waiting staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Yes I would recommend them.
