So, there are always haters in this world. That is too bad. As a guy, I would never have thought about looking younger, but, then I met Dr. Reiter. What a joy to be treated as well as I was that first visit. Yes, the decor is "vintage"

This "spa" is not too much of a spa - instead it's located in an old one story building on the main floor that has a really strange layout. You walk in and it's a blast back to 1960 but not in a good way.

Trying to see past the old semi-run down building I looked forward to some good results but no such luck. I spent about 2 hours there and half way through the doctor got his assistant to take over - this made me nervous as she didn't seem trained and was constantly asking the doctor what to do. You know if I wanted to pay good money to be a practice patient I would have went to some med-school !!

I've had treatment at a number of places and Pier Laser Med Spa really didn't seem up to date. I don't think I totally wasted my money but I wouldn't recommend the place. I'm not saying it's bad but there are so many centers around to pick from.

I can say one positive thing, it's close to Whole Foods so I just walked over and had a great lunch. Mmm..

I've read the reviews on this clinic before I went and wonder if the doctor has people posting reviews for him. I say that because it was such a creepy experience having this doctor stare at my body.

Pros: I can't think of one good thing to say

Cons: Found this doctor to be creepy

Dr. Reiter did an excellent job on my "private parts" and other areas that I had unwanted hair removed permanently. I've now had multiple treatments and I'm quite happy with my treatments there, although I agree with other posters that for the money we are paying him, he should dress more like a doctor and have a receptionist that speaks better English. An appointment date was miscommunicated, but Dr. Reiter was not upset displaying his unflagging serenity (and obvious loyalty). The receptionist, Lynn, was very caring and friendly toward me, however, and made me feel like a welcome family member, not a customer. Dr. Reiter is a real gem, and one of the most caring physicians I have ever met.

I visited this clinic to have laser hair removal by Dr. Reiter. Shortly after arriving I filled out some form and was taken to some back room with the doctor and his office manager Marjolyn. Well, from this point on it was a complete joke, and was like the doctor had no clue what he was doing. I mean, I don't even think he's read the manual for the laser hair removal machine. If he had he wouldn't have burned my arm... right now I have full blisters on my arm and was told by another clinic that I will have permanent scaring. I'm just so upset, I can't believe this guy who calls himself a doctor has a license to practice. I should have known this the second he started and didn't bother to use any system to gauge where he's lasered. I've been to 3 laser hair removal centers in the past and each clinic has marked my body with a chalk pen so they know what areas they've done. This not only ensures they complete all sections but also so they don't do the same sections over and over causing scaring. So not only did I get burned by his laser, he probably only covered about 55% of the area..

I found Dr. Reiter completely incompetent in all areas and I kick myself for not walking out shortly after he started. I mean this clinic is such a joke, the doctor had a lot of trouble concentrating on his work and often started to babble or complain, it was so weird... even at one time he started to complain that he didn't like lasering and handed the laser to his office manager to laser. Wow... again I should have walked out right then... I mean having an office manager laser... is that even legal? This just happened so I haven't contacted the medical board yet however I'm going to do so and I'm also going to sue this doctor for burning my skin.

In my opinion, I'd run from this doctor. There are so many clinics out there why take the chance. Please make sure when you select a doctor to read reviews about them. Unfortunately for me I didn't take the time to review Dr. Reiter's competency and I paid the price !!!

Wow, what a find. I was visiting my friend in Ocean Park (I live in the San Diego area) and noticed that she looked more rested and relaxed than I had ever seen her. We are both in our fifties and love the sun. She eventually admitted that it wasn't a recent vacation, plastic surgery, or a Zen "thing". She reluctantly told me she had a "PLMS" Rejuvenation at her neighborhood med spa, Pier Laser. I made an appointment and was not disappointed. Dr. Reiter analyzed my features, explained all the risks (chance of a small temporary bruise or mild burn, etc) and began his non-surgical "magic". Within 3 months, I too was transformed by an IPL series, Botox, Dermal Filler and more, ALL FOR ONLY $2500. I never had any complications, although it was difficult for me to drive all the way to Santa Monica each visit from San Diego. I also was disappointed that he does not treat cellulite (he told me his nonsurgical treatments don't include cellulite because the technology for this is disappointing currently).
Well, for the last few weeks my colleagues and friends have been asking me if I lost weight(no!), just came back form vacation(no!), had cosmetic surgery(no!)...lol.
I haven't felt this good about myself for years, and am so happy I discovered the Pier Laser Med Spa. The amazing disappearance of my age spots and wrinkles make me look 20 years younger. I want to buy stock in Lasers and Botox now...haha
I was feeling down about the economy, and now I am a little guilty about feeling so good. Thank you, Dr. Reiter!

I had his "Reiter Rejuvenation", which I strongly recommend, if you look older than you want to. I went there after my friend was transformed by him last year, (and I assumed she had plastic surgery done), but only admitted what really happened recently.
Well I had a series of three IPL treatments, as well as Botox and Juvederm for erasing wrinkles, and allowed him to inject my lips, but mostly to shape my lips so I have that increadibly pouty smile that I think is so attractive. All this for $2500, which was the best money I've spent all year.
I was scared at first because he was wearing torn blue jeans and sandals as he had done when caring for my friend, however as time went on, I saw myself appear 15-20 years younger.
The best part is that it's close by. I am happy with my results, although I don't tell all my friends what I had done.

This Med Spa is easy to miss, as it's a small storefront on Lincoln Blvd, in Santa Monica, but by the Starbucks close to the Venice border. The small size or what they call "Intimate Setting" actually does make for a cozy med spa setting. I'm glad that I did find this little gem. The doctor is very gentle and sincere, but seems to go out of his way to explain all the complications of each procedure which would have scared me away, but I've had them before many times (having to drive to Beverly Hills which is no fun in traffic.) I like the combo Botox(at $10/unit) and Juvederm ($500/syringe) injections as he used that special cold wind machine before injections and I really barely felt them. He was not the cheapest when I compared prices, but since he was so close to my house, I gave them a try. The setting is intimate but not fancy, but he appears to have a lot of high tech machinery packed in there. The rooms seemed a little small, but the doctor was so attentive to my needs, I felt like his very special patient, and it was only my first visit there (but not my last.)
He never tried to upsell me any services, which I liked, but his receptionist did not speak English very well, which is a real negative for his business. She seemed to be really trying and genuinely seemed to care about me. I think she is Filipino.
The waiting room is cozy with a huge fireplace, there was parking out front, but I was told that if ever it was full, I could park in the Starbuck's parking lot next door and have a coffee on the Pier Laser Med Spa account when done.
I didn't have any Laser services or Facial Peels, but I can tell that the doctor is an expert in Juvederm and Botox as I didn't get one bruise, the injections didn't hurt, and he gave me that upturned steamy pout that doesn't look "done". (I had driven by there many times, but when it was the closest to my 90291 zip code on the juvederm-com website, I had to try it.)
I give it five stars (6 minus one for his secretary)
