I had looked around on Craigslist to find a reputable and licensed moving company. I founds a number of companies, although after verifying which companies were licensed AND insured City Movers made the cut. I corresponded via telephone numerous times before making my ultimate decision. ( I do make this more dramatic than it actually was for my tiny studio) All and all, I must say my due diligence paid off and walked away a happy customer.

I used City Movers LLC this last weekend and I am here to report that my move was a success! City Movers came on time and ready to work! My movers Casey, Ian and Travis were strong and polite. Nothing was broken and the move went faster than anticipated!

I approached the task of finding a mover with more than a little hesitation. My past experience with movers was, to say the least, not so great. From the first call to City Movers, my expectations began to shift. The gentleman I originally spoke with, Ian (?), was wonderful. Since I work in the customer service industry, I am probably a little more sensitive to this issue, so I can honestly say, his customer service skills were so far above and beyond the norm these days! He was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. He had a nice mix of calm and confidence, along with a great sense of humor that put me at ease instantly. After explaining the entire process and gathering my move information, he gave me a quote right then with a couple different options. He explained how the company works and even the goals of the company and told me that the company has won several California awards this last year. After my experience, I certainly understand why!
The day before my move I received a call from my lead guy...Travis. Again, like the first guy, he could not have been more pleasant and helpful. He confirmed all of my moving details, his arrival time and gave me an overview of how the next day would unfold. The only question left unanswered that night was, where in the world did they find these guys?
Sure enough, the next day went like clockwork. Travis explained the paperwork and did a quick "walk through" of my home. While he was doing this, the other 3 movers jumped into action. They put down carpet in my entry ways to protect the hardwood floors, and worked quickly, efficiently and with smiles on their faces. Things could not have gone more smoothly. They finished a little shy of the estimated time and even came back in after the job was done and helped me with a couple last minute things. I can not say it enough...they guys are the best! I am recommending them highly...a company this good deserves to thrive!

This was my second move with City Movers and hence why I came back to them for this move. This move was for my Mother who lived in Newport Beach and moved to a Assisted Living facility last Thursday.. First, we did the move "blind". By this, I mean I worked with one of their specialists ( Casey ) to determine what exact pieces of furniture (some antique) would be packed and brought from my Mother's home and unpacked in her new assisted residence. Further, we discussed artwork, clothing, linens, kitchen supplies, and other personal items of interest - again being very specific about what we were bringing. From this discussion, my specialist was able to "guesstimate" how many man hours and how many boxes, packing paper, etc this move would take. We used every box and then some, but everything came perfectly (except one lamp shade) and the move came off without a hitch. My older brother was on the packing end and I was on the receiving end.My move was a great success. Couldn't have done it without City Movers. PART OF THE SUCCESS OF ANY MOVE IS IN THE COMMUNICATION WHICH WAS ESSENTIAL IN THIS MOVE!

These guys are the best!!!! City Movers are trustworthy people. City Movers moved me for less then 375$ while other companies wanted to charge 600$ . I highly recommend these movers based on my good experience! Thanks City Movers! I hope you remember me next time and give me more of a discount! =)

I've moved twice with these fine fellers and the second time I had to push my move date out 2 days because they were completely booked. It's worth the wait because the did a spectacular job both times!

Just wanted to comment on the level of professionalism your guys provide. I have hired movers in the past, and it's the same old story, older grumpy guys that would rather smoke a cigarette than get the job done. The guys were done 2hrs quicker than the last guys! And they had 2 guys instead of 3! Thanks again!

Just wanted to say thanks for all the help this weekend! I usually rent a truck and have my bro's help, but I didn't feel like going through all the trouble again, (plus all the the stairs!) Oh yeah, sorry my roommate was still passed out when your guys showed up!

Easy to talk to, one of my movers played ball at UCLA, too bad I'm a Trojans fan:)

I used City Movers and my move went as good as I had hoped.
I used their packing service and unpacking in addition to my move.
They shrink wrapped and furniture padded everything so it was as safe as possible!
Thanks City Movers there was not on scratch on anything, and nothing was broken, and there was no damage to either of our homes.
Mission accomplished, I have sent them to my Realtor as well!

I used City Movers for an emergency move, and the crew came through fast!
I needed to move my mother from a residential care, to another Alzheimer unit, this move is very tricky, and my other movers bailed.
I called City Movers after seeing them online and boy am I great full I did!
Kind and patient, the best movers I have used.

I have used City Movers twice, when I bought my first house, with my then wife, and when I moved out of my now ex wives home and to my apt.
The guys are great, the management is great, my moves went great, what more can I say?
If you are looking for a moving service that sends movers trained in customer service, and how to move safe , then City Movers is that company.

I like the other review about the zooming part. That's pretty accurate. I'm pretty thrifty so I'd be damned if I would let mover go slow. Surprising, these guys were ON THE BALL. They were in and out within 4 hours. Overall a great deal!

I used City Movers to move this last weekend and I am here to inform you of my experience with City Movers!
I will tell you they are great, and really know what they are doing, I hired them to pack my home and move, I decided to unpack myself because I figure I can do it on my leisure. The movers that they sent : Ian, Travis, Casey and Ted were absolutely great to work with, there was great communication and they carried excellent upbeat attitudes the whole day! The movers that I used before, were not so friendly and communication was non existent and when your moving it is essential to be able to tell the movers where to put your furniture and which bed goes where ect. ect.
My move was carefully made, nothing was damaged and it was over with much faster than I anticipated!
I was asked to give any good references or referrals or positive feedback for this business, that is why I am giving them five stars, and the highest recommendation from me, a very picky customer:)

All of their reviews were from November! We used them a coule weeks back and the sale rep was all right but as soon as the forman got to our house, he started talking about all of these extra charges, he took non-stop brakes! overall was the most unprofessional and the wrost move I have ever had!!!

This is only the second time I have hired movers, the first was a nightmare! I was expecting some creepy old guys that chew tobacco and curse like sailors! The guy that scheduled me ( I think his name was KC?) assured me that his crew members are all full time employees that put customer service first. They were very polite and professional, and none of them smelled bad! That was a plus. I guess there are some good movers out there.

The guys were friendly, fast and on time! All great qualities in movers. They were in, out and done under the time limit for the price I was quoted. I really appreciated their help and so do my friends who would have been doing the heavy moving if it weren't for City Movers. I would recommend them to all my friends.

Seriously. I mean all the other times I've moved in my lifetime, I almost count on at least one thing breaking. These guys know their stuff. Even my little martini glasses were packed up so well I could probably drop it off a 3 story building and it would be just fine! If you're looking for a moving company, these are surely your guys!

I've never used the moving service, although I hired these guys to deliver a fridge I bought off Craigslist It was reasonable and they were able to do it next day which was nice. The guys that delivered it were very careful and seemed quite friendly. I don't really plan on moving any time soon, but if I do I'll definitely try their moving service out.

I used City Movers for my recent move. I am recently divorced, so needles to say this move was not an easy one. Nothing went as planned on my end as far as the attorneys planned moving times, my crazy ex husband stopping by, my new building not scheduling our unloading time, and the list could go on forever.The saving grace of this whole thing is City Movers, especially Anthony the owner, and the movers, Travis, Joe and Casey they were polite, even comforting, supportive and assertive. They boxed my stuff up with the efficiency of 6 movers, carefully packed my delicate items, including my plasma T.V.which required special handling, loaded up the truck and unloaded my things in to my new place quickly and carefully! They placed all of my furniture where I asked them to, set up my bed, and unpacked my stuff as well.
The professionalism of City Movers made my move successful, so thank you City Movers you will have high praises and will be referred by me to all of my family and friends.

Who'd have known. I paid to have City Movers Pack up all of my stuff and move it! All this time I've been grunting away for 2 weeks packing BEFORE the move. I had no idea that companies would actually pack up your house. They did an excellent job as well. It's pretty neat how they use all that different packing stuff.

I live in a townhouse with 2 flights of stairs inside. These guys are the COOLEST. The only way to get my couch in my new place was by sending it over my patio rail. The guys just backed the truck right up to the patio and hoisted it up with their straps! I've never seen anything like that. I can honestly say they are professionals.

I've NEVER had a move go this smoothly. They were IN. On the road. Unloaded in 5 hours flat! I will NEVER move myself again. I read millions of reviews before I hired these guys. City Movers certainly lived up to the "Hype"!
