Ron Casey is an inspiring teacher and an accomplished musician. He agreed to teach my daughter who started with him a little before her 5Th birthday. He is very patient and encouraging and facilitates group learning to create a positive and motivating environment. He is passionate both about guitar and teaching children. He keeps the pace moving so that he is continuously introducing new things to avoid boredom and maintain enthusiasm with practicing. We are grateful to have music an integral part of our daughters life. Thanks Ron!

Business Response:

Thank you for your kind words!
.

For the love of music (especially guitar), I am witnessing a great and prolific opportunity being provided for children to learn to play guitar with passion and accuracy right here in the Portland area.

Teacher and gifted musician Ron Casey clearly uses his unique child communication style and musical talent to instill a thirst for high level competency in playing the guitar correctly as well as to have fun and improve skills through a consistent practice regimen.

The children are given positive, encouraging, supportive critique of their efforts, and Ron structures the classes to coincide with stage level of talent and accomplishment(s) so as to keep students in a closely related skill range and a fun, competitive atmopsphere at all times during the lessons.

The kids are challenged with curriculum that stretches the child to improve, but doesn't discourage. The fruit of Ron's labor working to help kids become music and guitar lovers is seen in them bringing more kids to begin lessons, and wanting to play in front of public audiences to show off their musical abilities on the guitar.

When I watch my grandboy light up with joy in playing his guitar through Ron's guidance, I highly recommend the Childbloom Program.

The Portland Childbloom Guitar Program is in great hands with teacher/player Ron Casey. Ron is gifted communicator and great player with a desire to teach children to play well and enjoy making music. He continually inspires his young students to play with correct technique and develope the beginings of true musicianship.
I highly recommend Ron and the excellent organized material that the Child Bloom Program offers.

Message from Childbloom Guitar Program

Hello, and thank you for your interest in Childbloom.

My name is Ron Casey, and I am the Director of the Childbloom® Guitar Program of Portland. I have been teaching the guitar to children and adults in the Portland area for over 16 years. I am very excited about bringing the Childbloom Guitar Program to Portland.

More about Childbloom Guitar Program

One of the unique features of Childbloom is that the lessons are in groups. I like to have a minimum of two kids and limit the class to a maximum of four. This format works best for young kids who say it's so much FUN! They also benefit from the experience of learning how to play in the context of a group, which is important and often lacking with guitar lessons. I group the kids according to their age (and ability), give or take a couple of years. Childbloom places an emphasis on note-reading and the development of a solid technique. Basic motor-skills are developed early on as we work on songs. The songs are simple, yet challenging and progress in difficulty as the kids develop their ability on the instrument.
