I live near this particular Pets-mart so it is the most logical place to buy pet supplies. Every time that I have ever gone in there, which is about once a week for the past 7 months, I get the worst customer service. It always seems to be a manager, and there always seems to be 5 managers for every 1 regular employee. That does not seem to make sense to me, but anyway, the managers there seem to have an attitude when you ask them questions like, "What do you recommend", "Do you have any deals", "How do these two things compare." If I were the corporate office, I would fire all of the managers, make the couple of regular employees the managers, and just start over. After 7 months of buying dog food/treats/toys/cages from there, I am willing to travel the extra 10 minutes to the next closest pet place.

Ive been taking my dog to the petsmart polaris grooming for 2 years now. Shes a very hyperactive dog and can be a handful at times. At first I was sticker shocked, as my previous groomer only charged $30 and for the same haircut was $54 at petsmart. I decided to give them a try anyways. I was amazed, she was the best she ever looked. When you own a dog you HAVE to understand accidents do happen. Like I said, my girl is a very hyper girl. Shes a schnauzer and is a rescue and has poorly cropped ears. Her ears have been nicked twice at petsmart, but they always call and get my permission to have their vet(which is also my vet) look at it. I never had the same groomer there groom her, I had a different person each time. The latest accident to happen was about 9months ago. I had a feeling the groomer was new, turns out I was correct. She cut my girls inside back leg. They called, had the vet look at it and called me with how bad it was. It needed to be glued. I was dumbfounded, how could they let a new groomer cut my dog? When I returned to the store, I had planned on being furious with everyone involved. When I saw the groomer who cut my girl, she apologized and explained what happened. She looked like she was going to cry. I finally got someone to tell me she was brand spankin new at grooming, which made me more furious. That was, until someone told me the entire training process. I was shocked at how much training they have to go through. I didnt have to pay for the groom or vet bill. Since then my girl has always been groomed by the girl that cut her leg. One would think that would be the last thing to do, but shes great with my girl and my girl really likes her. She even has calmed down some on the grooming table. I think petsmart is worth the money you pay to have your dog groomed. I recommend them to everyone I know with a dog.

I normally handle all grooming care myself. However, I was really busy and she needed a little trim, bath, and nails done so I took her to the Petsmart at Polaris. This was the first grooming experience for me. I get a call about an hour later asking if they can take her over to banfield (their hospital) because they nicked her ear a little bit. I thought okay, not a big deal, just a little nick. I then get a call 20 minutes later asking if they can give my dogs stitches! I then got ticked and asked how bad did they hurt my dog. The lady on the phone started off her reply as, "Well you know how she's hyper..." She's a terrier breed, of course she's hyper. Has the grooming department ever seen a dog before. I immediately drove over there and found out that the vet had to cut a piece of her ear off. I will say it wasn't the vet's fault, they where actually decent. This happened on a Thursday, and I didn't even speak to a manager until Monday. I complained to corporate and was supposed to receive a call back and never did. I went there with my dog just needing a simple trim (eyes, ears, pads, and tail) and bath, and ended up with a sedated, sick, upset puppy who now has a chunk out of her ear. Don't take them here if you want to come back with as much dog as you left there.
