For those of us that loved his restaurant, Wild Bites in Amesbury, Tony Ortu more than delivers at his newest restaurant CIAO. The monthly wine dinners are always a treat and the Italian nights offer an intimate & inexpensive evening of great food and conversation (I even tried his tripe the last time).A recent Boston Globe review on Ciao truly caught the flavor of a Tony Ortu experience for those of you who have never been. His tiramsu is to die for as are his ravioli (any of them) and his gnocchi are the only ones I will eat from here to Italy and back. For a great night out, I definitely recommend Ciao in Merrimac.

Tony was famous at Wild Bites in Amesbury -- now in sleepy Merrimac. Food is wonderful, classic and classy Italian. Personalized service from the owner/chef makes for a great experience.
