Hush Salon

I saw Hush in Philadelphia magazine and decided to give it a try. I have been going to the same salon for 15 years, so to no surprise I was very hesitant on trying somewhere new. Ruth did my color and did an amazing job!!! It looks very natural and soft. Pam did my haircut..she too was amazing. They both took their time and and you can tell they are passionate about their jobs. I will definitely return!

Adrienne and Carlos are awesome! I have been going to them for a year now, and I won't ever go anywhere else. Adrienne is superb at color, and will guide you towards the perfect color for both your skin and personality... She is fabulous, and will make you look and feel amazing! Carlos has given me the best haircuts I have ever had! He is quite a perfectionist. The combo of the two is priceless! The salon itself is always clean, and inviting. All the employees are friendly and genuinely happy to be part of this team. Best salon in Philly!

I've been a devotee of Adrienne for nearly 10 years in NY -- and when she's busy, I would happily go to Carlos or Pam (all of whom are now in Philly!). They all have the same great, funny, relaxed vibe and it's a pleasure to spend the hour with them. What I love about going is that while they offer thoughts or suggestions about your style, they always ask you FIRST what you are looking for, and work with that. I've never felt pushed or overly encouraged to do something I wasn't comfortable with! And they really take into account your lifestyle (ie, I am super lazy with my hair, and they always give me a cut that's pretty, chic, and just-edgy-enough while still being very low-maintenance).

I should add, my husband, who is a total boy's boy, spent 29 years of his life happily going to a regular barbershop. He now rearranges his work schedule to see Carlos.

I'm just sad that now in order to see them that I have to get on a Bolt bus to Philly! But it's totally worth it.

I went to Hush for the first time this Saturday. I felt as though I was in good hands from start to finish. One of the things that I enjoyed most about my visit was that they told me how amazing I was going to look with my new style from the beginning. It made me feel confident that they were going to do a good job because they were confident in their skills. Adrienne did my color and while chatting during the process, she made me feel like we had been friends for years. Pam did my cut and she did an AMAZING job!! She paid very close attention to detail and as a result every hair lays perfectly. The next day, when I had to do my hair myself, I hardly had to do anything to style it because it just fell into place. I would recommend this salon to anyone. (Bonus: First time customers get $20 off!!!)

I read about BangSalon on Daily Candy and after seeing 12 five star reviews on Citysearch I thought it was worth a shot to give my blah haircut a pick me up. Carlos did the trick & if there were six stars I would be giving it to this salon. Great decor and artwork, professional and friendly staff, clean building, and most important - a haircut I was happy with when I walked out the door AND after I styled it on my own. Carlos heard that I wanted a cut that was fresh and professional, but couldn't spend allot of time on it becasue I have a young baby. He gave me honest feedback and tips to make sure I would be able to recreate the look at home. I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia and will gladly be making the trip back.

I don't know where to start, because my whole experience at this salon was excellent. Adrienne did a corrective color on my box-dyed black hair which is a nightmare to get out. The whole process didn't take very long, and she took me from a jet black to a beautiful mocha brown with no brassiness in sight! Carlos then cut my hair, and did an amazing job!! Unfortunately I have recently moved so I am not able to go there anymore, but I highly recommend this salon to everyone in Philly. If you are looking for beautiful color and an awesome haircut minus the attitude Bangsalon is the place to go!!!

Just got a haircut with Carlos and am extremely pleased. He consulted before cutting, and was honest with me about what my long, straight hair is capable of. The cut itself is wonderful, and I've received positive comments from every friend who's seen it. I also enjoyed being in the relaxing, stylish, and modern salon. The cut is definitely worth the price. I highly recommend going to this salon!

When I recently moved from NY to Philadelphia, a friend told me about a hair salon in Center City opened by a husband and wife team from NY who had also just moved back to Philly. I went to Carlos for a cut, and will never ever have my hair cut by anyone else while he's still in business. I also had a keratin treatment from Adrienne, and it was without exaggeration, life changing. She's an amazing colorist too - I can't wait to get highlights this spring. I recommend this salon to anyone who asks, and even those who don't. The real proof is my husband, who had always believed men don't need anyone but a good old fashioned barber shop. After a recent hair mishap at the barber, Carlos jumped in and fixed my husband's hair. He now too vows never to have his hair cut by anyone else. The best part is that you get NY-trained stylists without an ounce of the intimidating NY salon attitude.

Yes I admit to being a Keratin junkie and have tried several salons in town, not to bash others, but Adrienne at BangSalon is truly the Best! Not only I am a regular for cut and color but recently experienced the Rogers magic of Keratin. You will find a hip, fun and relaxing vibe. Not only will you receive outstanding service, complimentary with Keratin treatment is Keratin complex shampoo & conditioner and a post 72hour wash and blowdry! Best value for money hands down in the city!!
Adrienne is the master of color ( check out this month's Allure magazine) and Carlos is a wizard when it comes to the scissors for both men & women.

it can be hard to notice this salon as its a little hidden. i randomly came across it via a tip from a friend who used these guys during fashion week in NY. But its absolutely the best kept-secret in Philly I've discovered in a long time!

without a doubt, by far the best hair style and color treatment i have ever had in Philadelphia. You'll definitely know the difference from other salons in the city of brotherly love as they treat you with nothing but love! :-)

you can surely tell that Carlos and Adrienne are the real deal and well-experienced from their time in NY. I found my permanent salon for sure as it would be extremely hard for me to find anyone better.

When i went back to work the next day - i never received so many compliments at how great my hair was!

Best salon in Philly because it's easy to find, park (parking is across the street with a discount for validation), shop at nearby boutiques and get a perfect cut. Get the high fashion NYC trained stylists Carlos and/or Adrienne in a hip but low key/no snob atmosphere.
Well worth the trip down from the burbs. I'll be back for sure!

My sister sent me to Adrienne I am thrilled with my cut, color and new straight locks. She did an amazing job when I first got cut and color, then after I finally convinced myself I was ready for straight hair, she gave me a keratin treatment. I have naturally schizophrenic hair, sort of curly, sort of wavy and frizzy underneath and in the back. After the first wash (those three days I couldn't were awful but worth it), I was thrilled to see straight hair. The true test was getting caught in the rain and the frizzies didn't come back. Not only are the services great, but Adrienne and Carlos are super nice. Welcome (back) to Philly !!!

The task of finding a new salon/stylist to entrust your locks to is always a daunting one. That is why I am thrilled to have discovered BangSalon in Old City. The Salon is clean, simple and elegant despite its surroundings on the second floor of a gym. Adrienne and Carlos Rogers are distinctively different in personality but full of talent and a true compliment to one another. I have been to the Salon twice since my move to Philadelphia and I know I?ll continue to return. The pair have an uncanny ability to assess your needs without being pushy or overstated. They are willing to help you move outside of your comfort zone but only if want to let them. Adrienne has a keen sense of color and blending, it?s as if it?s her ?seventh? sense! Carlos is a master with the scissors. His attention to detail is to be commended, so be patient and trust him and you?ll thank yourself (and him) after. In case that isn?t enough reason, they are also great fun to chat with whilst working their hairdo magic!

Carlos is the best! I am so skittish when it comes to finding a new stylist, but with a recent move to Philly, it had to be done. I could not have found a better place. Carlos was attentive and patient, and really took time to understand my likes and dislikes. I was back in six weeks, and I'm a put it off for months until I can't stand it kind of girl. He's informative and helpful with products and techniques, and never pushy.
Carlos brings NYC training and style to Philly, while being down to earth and very conscientious and attentive. I dare anyone to find a better stylist! And once you've been here you'll cringe at the thought of the huge corporate salons that wouldn't remember you if you were there an hour ago!

Adrienne is the most talented colorist I have ever been to. She listens to what you want and gives it to you - only it looks even better than you ever imagined it could. Adrienne's attention to detail is amazing - even though I only get half highlights, she always does a few underneath so that when I wear my hair in a ponytail, you can't tell that I am not a natural blonde. Adrienne is the best colorist I have ever been to and if she charged twice her rate, I would still pay it because her color is that good.

I was highly recommended to Carlos and Adrienne by a client of thiers in New York. My cut is exactly what I asked for and the blowdry was beyond anything I even knew my fine hair was capable of. They use Redken color(which I love) and my hair was the perfect shade and unbelievably shiny. I loved this place and will definitley be back.

I just got my hair cut and highlighted at this salon in Old City for the first time and I am very happy with it. They did a great job with my hair and I will definitely go back. I was very impressed with with their expertise and skills and on the top they are also really really nice. Thumbs up for this salon!!!

Let me cut right to the chase. Here's what my husband said when he came home: "Your hair looks incredible! The cut is chic and frames your face and the new color matches your skin color perfectly!"

I had become discontent with the lack of creativity my current Center City hairstylist was offering. So when I received a "Daily Candy" email announcement about this salon opening up, and read that the owners had come from New York, I had a feeling they might be the breath of fresh air I was looking for in the tired locks department. So I booked an appointment.

I was a little nervous when I arrived, but within minutes of talking with the owners, I relaxed and knew I was in expert hands. Adrienne and Carlos were friendly and fun (I felt that exciting New York energy too), and they took a team approach to creating my style. He cut and she colored to compliment the cut - "to give it more play." The two worked seamlessly to give me Just What I Wanted! No more tired locks for me...I've found a place so fresh I can't wait until my next appointment!
