Mizzo is Marvo!

by Kay C.

We enjoyed the Chef's "trust me" dinner. Advance reservations required for this treat. Each course was paired with a wine that complemented and enhanced the flavors of both the wine and the food. Five courses from salad to dessert were served and we all left quite satisfied. It was a pleasant experience for the eight of us, as no decisions needed to be made and we could focus on our conversation and fellowship. Thanks Mark.

A little pricy but still good

by HotMama321

Not all portions are small, but I paid like $25-30 for a 5oz. filet. it was good but it was only two bites and I was finished. Over-all it was good food and had a nice atmosphere.

Pros: good food

Cons: small portions for large prices

Good traditional southern Italian food

by westie2

The owner/chef once owned the highly regarded, now defunct, Marc?s Italian Steakhouse, but sold it a few years back and opened the slightly larger Mezzo. We ordered pasta faglioli ? family style, but were informed the kitchen was out of it this evening, so we settled on minestrone listed as a special. It was reasonably good, but the portion size was exceptionally small and a total rip off at $7 per bowl. Ms. Westie?s entree was a very large portion of eggplant parmesan, a family recipe, prepared without any breading. I chose the spinach lasagna with a tomato vodka sauce which was equally bountiful and delicious.

04/09 revisit - We first dined at this small southern Italian restaurant in December. We started off with a family sized serving of pasta fagioli which was good, but a bit tame to suit my taste buds. Our entrees were eggplant parmesan, a family recipe of the chef, prepared without breading that we found to be both ample and delicious. I used a $25 certificate purchased at a discount from a local radio station.

Pros: Home style cooking, good service

Cons: Location, overpriced soup special

Terrific Italian food, North West Las Vegas

by steveD100

Had dinner at Mezzo's on Saturday night, everything was terrific, food, ambiance, service were all spot on. Chef came out and described some specials, then asked if there was anything else he could cook up, i wanted something a little on the light side and asked him if he could do chicked saltiboca. It was just outstanding. Great pricing on food and wine. We will be going back a lot.

Located on Rancho just south of Craig, but worth the drive if you are in Summerlin.

Pros: great food, great pricing

Cons: none i can think of

Wonderful food & service

by ABurch

My husband and I loved Mezzo Bistro. The food was wonderful, and the service matched the food. And it was priced reasonably enough to go back again and again. The best cannoli I have had since leaving Chicago. Highly recommended.

Pros: Great food, nice selection, good service

Cons: None

Horrible Service

by VegasGuy222

We heard alot of great things about this restaurant we we decided to try lunch there. The restaurant was half empty. There was no one at the front and we waited about 5 minutes to be seated. The hostess must have been new because she was very timid and not sure what to do. Once seated, we waited another 10 minutes before we placed our order. There was only one waiter and one cook in the restaurant. Once we did order, the waiter kept insisting that we purchase their bottled water and that $3.75 wasn't that much money. At the end of the meal, he reprimanded us because we requested the bill to be split. Food was decent but I would never go back here because it was the worst service I've had in a long time.

Pros: Food was very good

Cons: Service was horrible. Bad enough for me to write this review.
