Kasia's was a great find for wedding dresses. I never would have known to try Kasia's if another bride hadn't told me about it, but Kasia's had a great selection and very friendly and knowledgeable sales associates. They were very interested in finding a dress that matched my style and looked best on my shape. The sales associate was very good at determining what other dresses to bring out based on the dresses that I tried and I liked and didn't like. I was very impressed.

My family and I had a great experience shopping at Kasia's - we were early for our appointment, but Kathy (the owner) sat me down with the book of pictures while my mom and sister went through the (HUGE, beautiful!) racks of sample dresses in a BUNCH of sizes!

The benefits of an appointment here are immesurable. The TWO women helping me were AWESOME - I tried on 20+ dresses in about 90 minutes. They're not big on modesty, but if you really want to FIND A DRESS then it's great to have one woman helping you while another unwraps and re-hangs dresses.

Kathy checked in regularly - I had on a sample I really liked that was a little too small, and she offered suggestions for alterations to fit it. Another time she let me know a dress was above my budget, even before I put it on, to avoid me getting disappointed. It turned out to be "the one" though - it was designer, 100% silk w/ crystal brooch - it practially fit right off the rack. When Kathy saw my face she knocked off $200 to put it in my range (even though she KNEW there would be next to no profit on the alterations).

Grace (Kathy's mom) was so good at tailoring. She doesn't treat brides like delicate flowers, that's for sure, but those dresses are BIG and it takes a little hefting to get them to lay right. The dress was completely PERFECT the day of the wedding - it looked like it had been made for me.

Cons: No "pampering" if you like that kind of thing

One of THE BEST kept secrets I've ever found in my whole wedding planning process/exprience. Though, apparently, not much of a secret, as i've found great revies on Yelp and Citysearch about this place, so I hadto check it out myself. I followed their website (www.kasiasbridal.com) and booked a consultation - the rest was a breeze. Such clean and gorgeous gowns. And the service was supierior to any of the other chain bridal stores I've shopped... After this experience, I vowed that I will only shop boutiques from this point forward. Theses ladies really got the idea as to how treat a client. I did find my dream bridal gown here and was even able to take it home the same day if I wanted (I needed them to store it, don't really have closet space). I got a deal for buying a 'rack gown', it was $800 BELOW my budget! LOVE THAT!!! But honestly, what lI oved most was that they knew my budget and didn't try to get me to buy a gown that was right at the budget or even over! They really wanted me to look and feel beautiful, and they managed to do this without being at any point pushy. I left this store feeling like I made a new group of friends. I will highly recommend this cute bridal boutique to anyone getting married or just needing a great dress (they carry special occasion gowns too!) By the way, don't let the outside of the storefronts fool you - they carry a huge selection of designer gowns in a lot of sizes and styles.

Wonderful set of women offered me great service at this store. Supurb selection, I've never seen so many gowns in one place. SO CLEAN (gowns and store)! Prices and service was phenominal. Felt pampered and catered to. Reasonable alterations and very timely. Found my gown on the first visit after searching high and low all over Chicago and suburbs. Highly recommend this store to all brides. You won't be sorry.

I had an excellent experience purchasing my gown at Kasia's Bridal. The owner was helpful and friendly. She sold me my gown (bought consignment) for an excellent price and additionally helped me pick the perfect accessories to match my dress. She really listened to my needs and made good suggestions without being pushy.

Concerning my experiences with the seamstress, my first fitting left me rather unsettled. Although the seamstress (who is the owner's mother) is surely experienced in her trade, her "interpersonal style" left me rather uncomfortable and embarrassed throughout my entire fitting. I found the seamstress to be very rough when physically handling me (i.e. when pinning me or when adjusting the dress on my body). Additionally, she was rather insensitive when speaking about my body (for example she very loudly referred to the size of my breasts for all the store to hear). Simply put: if you are seeking someone who is sensitive and discrete (both when touching your body to make alterations and when discussing the way your body looks in your dress), then I suggest looking elsewhere. If you are less sensitive than myself, then this shoppe is still a fine choice.

I cannot agree more with the positive reviews about this salon. At first I wasn't sure what to think because the place doesn't look to big from the outside, so I told my mom to wait until I call her to come out. But when I walked into the store, holy cow! I called my mom as soon as I walked in. I have never seen so many bridal dresses in one place! It took me 2 hours to find THE gown, but the honest reality of the matter, I didn't want to shop anywhere else. I worked with Kasia and one of her assistants. The selection is spectacular (well over 2000 gowns, not kidding..) and the quiality is far more superior than the David's stuff you'll see as a bridemaid. Extremely professional and down to earth. I had a great time shopping this store and am not afraid to send my friends here as I know they'll get great service, quality selection and the prices were great. More importantly, I didn't feel like I was visiting a machine, I felt like a bride looking for a dress that received honest help from the owner! I purchased a LaSposa bridal gown for $500, while the regular price was $1800! You can't beat that!

Note: They have a bridesmaid/mothers/flower girls/special occasion room as well and party gets a deal if you gown from them.

Great find and I highly recommend this great Northwest side bridal salon.

I was in for the Thanksgiving weekend visiting family and friends. My girlfriend booked a few appointments for me since I'm not from Chicago (I'm from Iowa). This weekend I was able to shop many bridal shops (too many...but that's another story) in the Chicagoland area. This one is one of the better (if not best) boutiques by far. Really great organization, I was able to view the re-orderable gowns in a catalog without having to fuss with going through tons of racks - BONUS! I didn't want to go through the hassle I did at the other stores I visited, and god only knows that describing is so much harder than just showing someone what I'm looking for. Owner (Kasia) then recommended gowns based on some of my choices. The gown I ended up purchasing was one actually of the owners picks. Great price on a designer gown (Pronovias). Ask for Kasia, the owner, she has a great attitude and you could tell she loves what she does and by far is probably the most honest salesperson I've ever worked with.

By the way, the quality of gowns was superior. For anyone on a budget, this store has an unbelievable desginer clearance rak full of gowns in all sizes, styles and color all priced pretty well (I saw gowns priced from $100 to about $500). Store and merchandise is clean and well kept. LOVED the one on one service. Kasia kept to my appointment and really was involved in assisting me. I definintely recommend this store to all brides.

I have never written a review before, but I was so angered by my experience at Kasia's that I felt that other s would benefit from knowing about it. I had to call Kasia?s three times to see if they had a specific dress because no one ever called me back. We (my mom and another bride) made an appointment for a Saturday afternoon. We drove 45 minutes and when we walked in, Kasia immediately told us to sit down and look through a book of magazine pictures to pick out dresses to try on. She never even asked our names! When we said that we already knew the specific dress that we wanted to try, and that we had a good idea of the styles we were looking for, Kasia said that we had to start by looking at the pictures. Again, we said that we knew what we were looking for, but she refused to go look for dresses with styles we liked. So, we sat down and started to thumb through pictures while she went to get the one dress we had come for (all the while ignoring the second bride). When she returned, she continued arguing with my mother that most people appreciate having pictures to look at. My mom said that was fine and she was willing to move on, but Kasia proceeded to say that she refused to do business with us. When my mom tried to at least look at the dress, Kasia literally ripped it out of her hands. We were so confused that we started to walk out. Kasia began yelling that she had never encountered such difficult people. Her attitude and response to our requests was completely unprofessional and entirely rude. Perhaps she was just having a bad day. What I can't understand, though, is that on her website she promises to never create a terrible dress shopping experience because she encountered bad experiences. This was hands down the worst shopping experience I have ever had, and to have it connected to my wedding makes it so much worse. I was on the verge of tears when I left, and still cannot understand how it became so dramatic. I would not recommend Kasia?s to anyone!

I too have shopped many bridal stores in Chicago and have to say that I'm glad I saw the RedEye ad for a sample sale Kasia's Bridal was having this past weekend. I've never seen so many gowns in one store, the selection was spectacular! Each one was different in its own way, and each one very well priced. There was a range of prices from $79 to $3000. If you shopped this sale and didn't find anything, you're just to picky is all I have to say about that. So it's needless to say, but I'll tell you that I bought my gown at this sale. It was a Renella DeFina that I saw at Kleinfeld's in New York for $9000 and was completely out of my budget...well I'm glad I found it again at this store! I bought the exact same gown at the sample sale for, are you ready? $1500! It was in perfect condition, only now it was discontinued. Out of curiosity, I called the consultant I worked with at Kleinfeld's to ask her if there was a price difference on the gown since it was now discontinued, she told me that yes it was, and that I could buy the gross sample they had (it was trashed), it was still there for 1/2 off, that would make it $4500! WHAT?!! I was so glad I came to Kasia's. It's to my understanding that if there was no "sample sale" the visits to this store are by appointment only. So keep that in mind if you plan on shopping this store. They are one on one on regular days. I'm so glad I found this place.

Seriously. I wouldn't. My friends recommended all kinds of places that were all up-idy and snooty all over chicago and the 'burbs. I shopped and shopped and disliked each one in some way, either I felt someone was dishonest or I was left to run the show myself. I needed some help and guidance and barely anyone was willing to give it the other stores I visited. After the seventh store I was starting to loose confidence in the idea of finding a store I liked, more less an actual gown! I wanted a great place with great people and of course nice dresses. I found this store looking through a designers website and called the store directly. I spoke with the owner that was by far, probably the nicest person I talked to at any salon over the phone. I scheduled an appointment to look at what they had after the fifth dress I knew I found "THE ONE" and needed to stop looking. And it happened to be a dress that the sales girl recommended to me. What I really liked was the fact that THEY ASKED ME if I wanted to get dolled up. They didn't just stick some fluffy marshmellow veil on me. That deserves a sixth stars on its own! Being the bling girl that I am of course I wanted to be dolled up, the extra accessories really helped me make my decision, so I bought the whole package, dress, veil, headpiece, earrings, necklace and shoes AND I got a deal on them all for buying the whole look! If you can't tell yet, I reeaaly loved every part of my visit to Kasias. The selection is great, the staff seemed to actually like their jobs, and I was never left alone to try to fen for myself. Everything worked out so well that I definitely will be coming back to redeem my discounts for the rest of my bridal party (bridesmaids, moms, flowergirls and groomsmen, yup, they carry tuxes as well!)

I believe that the experience that I had at this salon should be a standard across the board with all salons. I made an appointment, I was listened to, I browsed the clearance racks while the assistants retreived the gowns that I had chosen out of their current stock. From there, we tried on the gowns and I made my purchase. I didn't think I was ready to buy my gown that day before I walked into this store, but there was nothing stopping me. I found what I was looking for, the service was great, and the price was $800 below my budget so I went ahead with the purchase. My wedding is in June of 2009, so yeah, I still have some time but since I purchased my gown I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. I will recommend this salon to anyone needing a bridal gown or a social occasion dress.

Hey all you future brides! I just wanted to let you know the place I bought my "beautiful" dress is having a huge sale! I went in there today for a fitting and found out about it...and felt it was my duty to let you all know! I love this place...I have gotten not only my dress here but also all of my accessories, shoes, bridesmaid dresses and their shoes!! They did my alterations too...I have had such good luck with this boutique that I want other brides to experience it as well! The owner is younger and really cool... and she works with her mom...I had such a great time with both of them! So go and check it out!

I was here about a year ago as a bridesmaid. We all really liked ther experience at this store so I decided to come here for my bridal gown when my fiance proposed to me. Well, all I could say is WOW! They expanded their store big time. They moved their beautiful bridal gowns to the bigger part of their store (next door) that is the prettiest and really calming mint green. And the selection has at least tripled! I'm not kidding. The place is huge now! Their selection is not only clean but different than at other stores. I spent almost 2 1/2 hours at my appointment. What a different experience. I thought that the service was great before....All I could keep saying is WOW! I was dressed from head to toe while I stood on the pedestal looking myself in the mirror. I really wanted nice crystal on my dress, and I haven't been able to find what I liked anywhere yet. Well here I found seven that I like, and all had that swarovsky crystal. Whatever they've done with their lighting, works, my dresses sparkled! They're having their annual clearnace the weekend of June 20, so I'm coming back for that. I heard that a lot of girls have bought their gowns for at this sale and were really happy the the quality and price. One of my coworkers traveled from Iowa two years ago for the sale. With all the positive signs and experiences that I've encountered, I know that I'm buying my dress at this salon, whether it's at their sale or one of the seven that I fell in love with at my appointment yesterday.

Pros: Selection and service far exceed my expectations of any bridal salon

I traveled approximately 65 miles to go to Kasia's and it was totally worth it. They made me feel like part of the family. They are not your typical sales people who try to pressure you to buy anything. They take their time and you can tell that they want you to feel special in what you choose. They are very honest with you about everything. First of all I am glad that they help with trying on every dress because who wants to buy a dress with snags in it just because some brat snatches it off because she can't get it. It shows they take pride in their merchandise and that should be appreciated. Kasia's is a wonderful place with wonderful people. I would rcommend it to everyone. They have a great selection of clothes. I also like the fact that the seamstress is honest about what shouldn't be altered rather than doing it anyway and losing quality in the dress. After my daughter found her dream dress for prom and it was out of my price range they still did not pressure my they just continued to show me more dresses. I loved the service and I bought the dress anyway.

I did not have much time to find and order 5 bridesmaid dress..with one of them being out-of-state. The owner greeted us and showed us around her store (her store is in the process of being remodeled by the way).

She was excellent in showing us dresses that would look good on anyone from a size 6 to size 26. She was also able to contact a bridal salon in another state so my bridesmaid could get fitted. Kathy (the owner) was awesome! I'd highly recommend her to help with any type of formal dress needed.

The dresses came in on time and the dresses fit as expected - one less thing for me (the bride) to worry about - yay!

I wanted to make my daughters junior prom memorable. I went to this store last and quickly found that this should have been the 1st place I took my daughter to shop for her dress. I looked online for prom stores and that's were we found Kasia's. No one had any dresses left really that my daughter liked, and this made me wish we started shopping earlier. The last store before Kasia's we tried was that Peaches store another reviewer (Ronnie) had mentioned, and what a joke of an experience that was, you could read my review about them....I think Ronnie works for Peaches, and we'll leave it at that.

Saying that, the selection at this boutique is spectacular, arranged by size and color, well taken care of (beads aren't falling off of every dress like at other places....), original, and the prices were a fraction of what other stores were charging. Let me tell you, a Mori Lee Gown we saw for $499 at Peaches, was at $325 at Kasia's. That is a difference! With all the expenses of prom, I needed a break. They were packed with prom goers, we had to wait 15 minutes for a fitting room, but the staff made it move smoothly and efficiantly, and it was quit enjoable to see others giddy with excitment for a change. We had a load of fun!

My daughter found THE gown in 20 minutes with Kasia's assistance. Kasia helped her try on the gowns, I can't imagine how she would get into these things herself, so I'm so glad for that. In the end, the gown we purchased was $275 and was not like anything we saw at any other store. I wish we could display photos here, because my daughter looked stunning. I can't imagine how we'll be able to beat her look next year for senior prom! What I do know is that we have already sent friends here that have also purchased their prom dresses there as well, and that we will be shopping Kasia's Bridal for her senior turnabout, Homecoming and Senior Prom. Save yourself time and headache. Give them a whirl, you won't be sorry. Happy shopping!

i found this dress in peaches that i fell in love with but it was a ten and i called kasia's bridal shop and found that she had it, in a size eight. i'm more of a four or six. in peaches the lady told me that if i bought it they'd have to immediately start the alterations to have it in time for my prom. however, i wanted to be a lil more safe and have a dress more fit for me. i come in the shop, which itself is a wreck, the dresses are all smushed together and the place is not taken care of at all. so as i walk in, nobody is there. i wasn't sure if they were helping someone so i just walked toward the fitting room, and kasia comes out of the bathroom and was buttoning her pants. (she said sorry but still) and her mom wasnt helping out another client, she was just in the back. i told her i wanted this specific dress and she had it out on display, as she goes to get it, knocks over a whole set of dresses which i caught. she then yells at her mother for putting them there. so i wanted to try on the dress, and she had to put it on for me!!! i couldn't just take the dress in the fitting room, they require for you to be in a bra and underware and then they come from in between the curtain to put it on. come on.... and the dress was too big on me, i could tell. and i asked if she could do some tailoring she said absolutely not with that kind of material. i wasnt sure what to do so i called my aunts and they came and saw that it was indeed too big on me, especially in the chest (of course..) both were claiming that it was fine that it didn't need to be taken in, it was just the material. and all i needed was a special bra, which wouldnt work at all! and then the mom went on saying how she's been a seemstress for 30 years and she can't do anythign with the dress and i told her peaches could and she said "then why don't you go to peaches and have them do it!" ok calm down i was just saying. to those who think they are nice, they only want you to buy the dress...

This is by far THE place to go if you're looking for a bridal gown or a prom dress. I have gone to Kasia's for both my Jr and Sr prom and have just ordered my bridal gown as well! I have absolutely nothing bad to say about her or her business. She went the extra mile to make sure I would feel beautiful on my wedding day. Best part and best memory of my shopping experience...SHE CRIED WHEN I HAD MY DRESS, TIARA AND VEIL ON! What bridal store owner does that that you know of? That is what sold me. She knows her stuff and I trust her and only her when it comes to big decisions like a WEDDING DRESS! She is such an easy-going person and every time I come in we have a great time. It's like having a best girlfriend shop for the most important item on your wedding day. It bothers me that people take the time to write horrible reviews. Obviously they have Kasia's mistaken with another shop. And trust me...there are horrible dress shops out there...I went looking and got nothing but attitude from these other stores. She loves what she does and it is well reflected in both her shop and her personality. My bridesmaids' dresses will be purchased from here as well...as is my child's Baptism gown and Communion dress...like I said...she's the only person I trust when ordering important attire! You should definitely check her out!

I visited this store during their open house to celebrate their expansion. While sipping champagne and have some kick-a** wedding cake, I saw a gorgeous fashion show, and booked an appointment for the very next day. I ended up purchasing the same day. I even benefited from a great limo company the owner of Kasia?s offered me. First store, 4th dress I tried on, bought right out of her stock for my quicky wedding (planned it in 2 months), alterations done with in 2 weeks, wedding in 3 weeks, friendly service, and zero stress. Could every decision I make for this wedding be this easy? I recommend this store highly.

Truly - best service I've received anywhere in my whole bridal experience. I've been to the little tiny stores, I've been to the big box stores, and I've been to the upscale stores. By far, from start to finish I've had nothing but good things to say about Kasia and her work force. My experience started from my wedding gown and ended with a box of chocolates for the owners and lots of hugs and thank you's. I purchased my bridal gown from Kasia's, as well as my bridesmaids dresses (9 girls all different sizes, tiny to full-figured). My gown was PERFECT! I only needed a bustle and a steam. As for my bridesmaids, Kathy was so nice to all my girls. I knew we needed kid gloves for my bigger girls especially and she was so cordial, I, WE, felt so at ease. Kathy helped me pick dresses for the girls that flattered everyone. She helped us pick sizes, and those that needed alterations, only had minor ones. She actually went ahead and let the girls that didn't agree with her recommendations pick their own sizes, because of course, all of us were on diets...in the end, two girls didn't lose the weight they said they would lose - but Kathy didn't flinch, they gave those girls options, alterations which included panels, or to order new dresses. We opted to get them new dresses. Hey, I told them to listen to the professionals, but thats besides the fact. My experience was superior from start to finish even though a couple of my bridesmaids were birdbrains...all in all Kasia's Bridal is the place to shop for your wedding. Since my purchase, Kathy expanded her store, seperating her bridal gowns from her prom and bridesmaids dresses - what a revolutionary idea! The store looks so pretty and is so much more comfortable! You've got to make your appointment so that you could have the same experience I had. I LOVE these girls! You won't be sorry. Good luck with your weddings!

I had found some bridesmaids dresses online and saw that her shop carried them, so I decided to call and get more information. Kasia's mother answered the phone and I could not really understand her, the only thing I was able to understand was the store hours. Nothing was ever mentioned about an appointment being needed when we asked. We went on early Saturday morning to look for ourselves. We figured it wouldn't hurt to just look at the bridesmaids dresses that we were interested in. We walked into the store and the first thing out Kasia asked was if we had an appointment. No Hello or anything! I explained that I was unaware that I needed an appointment. I had called yesterday for more information but was unable to communicate with the person that had answered the phone due to a heavy accent. Kasia stated with much attitude that it was her mother who answered the phone. I didn't mean anything negative, my mom has a heavy accent! Kasia seemed really irritated with what I said and began telling me that an appointment was needed and that she didn't think she could help us and for us to stand there and wait. She attended to her appointment, which was fine, I understood. We looked around to see the dresses that we had driven 45 minutes for. After they left, she started her speech about precious Golden Saturdays and how she wishes she could help us, but she can't and to make an appointment and come back. I restated that I would not have wasted driving for 45 minuntes if I knew that I needed an appointment. I would have made an appointment!! Kasia stated that "she was not going to point fingers and that an appointment was needed and that was that". I understand that she could't see us b/c she was busy but she could have addressed the issue with a more professional attitude! She had a very snobby and stank attitude and for the money that I am going to spend, I expect excellent service with a smile! I won't even buy a bobby pin from her store!! Stay away!!!

OMG! The selection at this place is spectacular! I loved everything! I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to make my choice that day, but Kathy the owner really helped me through the choosing process, as my mother wasn't that great of any help either because of all the dresses. All she could do is cry when she saw me come out in any dress at this store. I knew I would find it here. When I finally did make a decision, I went with the owner's recommendation as truly, I felt the best in it. Prices were excellent for the quality and styles offered by this little boutique. I felt welcome, and really cared for. I wasn't left in a room for hours at a time like at other places, and I was the main event for the time alloted for my appointment. I couldn't ask for anything more. If you come in with a herd of girls, without an appointment, I have to be honest, the store doesn't go for that. She seems to be strict with her appointments, and I have to say that I appreciated that, as I was able to ask all of my questions, and I didn't have to look for the person I was working with, and my appointment wasn't interrupted by a walkin - LOVE THAT! All in all, the entire experience was pleasant and unlike any other experience I had anywhere else in Chicago. I can't say enough about Kasia's Bridal. I will tell of my friends that are getting married that they have to shop here.

I read all the reviews here, so I went a few weeks ago for an appointment made in advance. They made us wait 45 minutes. I found the staff, possibly the owner, abrasive and pushy. My bridal party was given no attention. I thought they had some decent merchandise but I would not buy there due to the total disorganization and feeling of complete chaos. Maybe they were just having a bad day and short of help but we found it very dissapointing. With all the shops in the Chicagoland area I would look beyond this place.

In planning my wedding my fiancee and I have a method of how we are choosing things for our up coming event. We call it the ?Warm and Fuzzy? method. So my wedding was about a year away and I am a very picky person. So I knew I needed to look for my wedding gown sooner then later. So I went to a few bridal shops and was not happy, I wasn?t getting that ?warm and fuzzy? feeling when I walked in. So I use to live in the portage park area and I remember passing Kasia?s Bridal on my way home every night. So I call and made an appointment.

As soon as I walked in the door I got the ?warm and fuzzy? feeling, I felt like I was visiting a friend. I told Kathy what I was looking for and she brought out a few different gowns. Well after trying on the fourth dress I knew that was the dress for me. I was amazing I told her what type of dress I was looking for and in a matter of minutes. She had found the perfect dress for me.

I had the same experience with the bridesmaid?s dresses. I told Kathy what I was looking for she pulled out the first dress and I knew that was it.

Kasia?s Bridal has really made my life so much easier. Not only do they have beautiful dresses, Kathy and her mom make you feel like an old friend

I went to to 3 different places in search for the "perfect" gown. After all every magazine says that you will "just know" when you've tried on the one. Well I didn't really believe all of that...but after 3 very discouraging appoinments and a lot of crying, I stumbled upon Kasia's! I went in there w/ my sad story and a box of chocolates. The owner was amazing from the start. She listened to my story, shared some chocolates w/ me and guided me through her huge bridal book. I pick out 6 dresses to try on. One of them was a new arrival she had just gotten in early the week before and hadn't seen it on anyone. As I tried on that dress my entire attitude changed. I turned around to ask for her opinion (because I was all by myself) and she was in near tears. She and I both knew it was "the one". I came back the next day and bought that very dress. It fits like a glove, and I am ordering my bridesmaids dresses from there as well. Thank you Kathy forever. To go so above and beyond like that...well I will never forget that. Thanks for the bonding time and playing the role of my mother, sister, and best friend that day!!

I thought I had shopped every store in the city of Chicago looking for the perfect gown. I was starting to get discouraged when I was recommended by a co-worker to go to Kasia's Bridal in Chicago (Portage Park neighborhood). I made an appointment and upon arrival, I was greeted by the owner with a smile on Saturday. The service from start to finish was coordial, accomodating, and consistant. I never felt rushed or pushed which made my experience wonderful and memorable. Nowhere did I feel like a princess, but at this appointment, I was nothing less than just that.....a princess. I went through an extensive catalog of bridal gowns the store had to help me find some gowns that I would like to try on. Every gown in the catalog I was able to touch and see onsite, as they were all in the store. I also brought in a picture of a gown that I liked. The owner Kasia, pulled the gowns I chose as well as a few gowns she recommended based on the consistency of my choices. She asked my permission if I wouldn't mind (Of course I wouldn't! You're the pro, right?!) I'm so glad she did. My dress ended up being the 4th dress I tried on out of the twelve I chose, and out of the three that Kasia recommended. AND the dress I chose was the owner's recommendation! Again, the experience I had here was better than any store I had been to. Kasia then put a headpiece and veil on me to complete the look and I was set. It was just perfect! EVERYTHING was PERFECT! My mother cried, my sister had a ball adjusting the train for me, and I was on cloud 9! For a great experience and clean, high quality gowns you have to visit this store. You won't be sorry. BTW, everything I saw ranged in price from $500 to $2000. The gown I purchased was $1200 and it's all silk with swarowski crystals!

I can't say enough about this mother/daughter team! They saved me and my wedding! Stupid me didn't listen to my friends and I ordered my bridal dress and my two bridesmaids dresses online. Everything that could have gone wrong did. Plus the gowns came in last Wednesday, and my wedding is this Saturday, May 19th!

So in order to fix the problems, I was recommended by my sister-in-law to be to call Kasia's Bridal. I called this cute little boutique and explained my situation. I have to say I had tears in my eyes after getting off the phone with Kathy! She was incredibly accomodating and understanding. She asked me to come in as soon as possible for an appointment to see what can be done with the dresses. They all needed total work. Kathy's mother Grace just took a couple of looks at the dresses on the three of us, recommended these awesome bustiers that she had on hand and instantaniously the tops of all three gowns looked different. She then told me that she saved me about $120 total worth of work on all three dresses. LOVE to hear that! Came in the next time, my dress was finished being altered, it just needed a bustle, my bridesmaids were already done! Just picked it up this morning, freshly pressed and ready to go. Overall these girls are quick, honest and affordable. I couldn't ask for anything more. You must go here! They are lifesavers!!!!!

I know this sounds funny, but really you just must shop here, simple as that. I went to this store based on all the positive reviews I read on this site, and all of them are right on the money. I totally felt like a star. I had no idea what I was looking for, and I read and heard about all the bad things that could happen at a bridal consulation, and how bad some places may be....this place negated all the horrible fears I had instilled in my by some of the "urban legends". I went through a detailed binder of bridal gowns with the owner who pulled the gowns for me. I was able to actually see what was being pulled out! I went to a couple of places that wouldn't let you see what's in their stock (Yikes!) I fell in love with 6 gowns at Kasia's, which the owner noted in my profile. I came back for an appointment with my mom and grandmother. We ended up picking THE gown in a matter of minutes. I didn't have a budget, but to spend less than I thought I would have to spend was even better. Dress came in on time and perfect. I only needed a bustle. Alterations were reasonable and done well. I requested a specific length measurement so I didn't ruin the detail at the hem when I needed it shortened. The experience was calm, pleasant and the girls were efficiant and on time. Someone here said that they felt like family when they left - I did as well, totally great experience. Really nice shop to work with. I will totally recommend Kasia's Bridal to my friends. I plan on going back to get my headpiece, jewelry and veil. When I picked up my gown I saw that they have a large selection of crystal and freshwater pearl accessories. That's going to be even more fun!

After having a nightmare experience at another well known prom boutique I decided to drive myself, my daughter and her friends (along with 4 other mothers) to this small shop. You walked in to a flood of colors. The dresses are arranged by size and the owners/sales staff help you go through the mass of gowns. The owner recommended some styles to our daughters based on color and style preference based on what the girls were looking for. All 8 of our girls bought dresses today. 5 of them bought dreses soley on the recommendation of the owner (the girls didn't want to try them on originally, saying they didn't look good, the owner explained to them that they had nothing to lose they didn't have to buy them if they hated them still, that their bodies would make the gowns look better, guess what, she was right!). My daughter bought a gown that she saw at this looney and overpriced dress store called Peaches, I paid $125 less for it at Kasia's. She's going to two proms, so she got another dress as well, a one of a kind. All the girls are guarenteed to have original dresses, and that no one at their prom will have the same dress so long as they purchased from Kasia's Bridal. She gave all the girls free garters to match their gowns, and they all got shoes and jewelry as well. The jewelry was so inexpensive! They got 3 piece crystal jewelry sets (necklace, earrings and bracelets for under $30 per set, that's cheaper than Claire's). Because of their great customer service, patience, variety and price, these gals got well over $3000 worth of sales today from our group alone. I'm so glad I didn't shop the overrated stores and found this place. More people need to know that there are quality places to go to, they don't have to be big and fancy. You pay bigh bucks for fancy and rude. I too (as others here) will highly recommend this place to other mothers and brides. We need to support the small businesses, they work harder than the big stores I've come to find.

I had shopped this store 5 years ago when they opened for my senior prom back in 2002. This store has changed tremendously. I love my gown for prom, so I had to go back to Kasia's for my wedding gown. I called the owner to make an appointment since I knew that it was prom season. Cheerfully Kathy took my appointment & asked me if I had an idea as to what I was looking for. She recommended that I bring in some magazine clippings of what I liked & that we would go from there. Well upon arrival I was shocked at the abundance of dresses this place had, quite different from 5 years ago, they actually had a smaller space before. I showed her my pictures (I fell in love with a Pricilla of Boston gown that I just could not afford). Kathy quickly pulled 7 gowns that were similar to the gown that I loved. All were made of different lace and all were between $600 & $1200! Quite the difference from $5000. I didn't expect to find anything that day, but I did! I found the perfect gown, it was a Casablanca & was less expensive that what I've found most gowns for. Kathy measured me for a custom fit & length (no one at any of the other shop had offered that service to me before), & I ordered it. We got our bridesmaid's dresses here too! That was in January. Kathy called me on Friday to tell me my gown was in. (my bridesmaids were in 2 week ago).I was so excited I immediately booked my appointment for today. It's perfect! All it needs is a bustle and some cups for support, which Grace is doing onsite for me for a reasonable price. I knew Kathy would come through for me. My friends shopped other places when they were getting married, but they always picked snooty places that were always out of our price ranges & the selection was awful. I wasn't interested in the posh places where you pay for the name & nothing else. At Kasia's Bridal, I got great service, great prices, & a beautiful dress. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kasia's. Every bride should shop here.

I have to say in 5 years, I've stood up as a bridesmaid to not 1, not 2, but 16 weddings, 10 of which purchased dresses (bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses) from Kasia's Bridal and we had nothing but great service EVERY time. The selection is awesome and the service is spectacular compared to other places we've all been too. If you want a deal, you can't expect much for space, which this shop may not have, but this never affected me in anyway, so long as I get my dress, which I did in a timely manner, and they are always better in price than other places. I had my alterations always done there as well, even on the dresses that were not purchased from Kasia's Bridal. I keep sending my friends there, whether I'm in the bridal party or not, and they all come back thanking me for sending them there. I know the owner (Kasia) will always take care of my friends as well as me if I have to stand up to any other weddings. SO, I HIGHLY recommend Kasia's Bridal to friends, family, and those who are looking for that special dress for that special day. The selection, service and prices are great. What more can you ask for from a bridal boutique?! You'd think more stores would take notes from stores like Kasia's Bridal. Just a note, they get extremely busy and they're a boutique, so make an appointment for priority service. Good Luck!

Kasia was nice and helpful when it came to ordering, but all hell broke loose when my dress arrived a month before the wedding. I came to the fitting and found a completely different dress waiting for me. Now I do understand that mistakes happen, but the kind of response and service I got from that point on was unacceptable. First, the owner announced that she is not sure if she can help me get the right dress on time (!!!) and furthermore that it is my fault because the dress came in a week before and it might be too late to do anything !!! It wasn?t until I broke down crying that she finally decided to call the company. She was not able to get me MY dress ordered 7 months earlier, she offered either the dress 6 sizes bigger or the same dress in different color!!! Having only one month, I took the second option. At that time I had my shoes, veil and accessories already purchased in white, but because I could only get my dress in ivory those had to be changed. Because of the color issue, and all the other trouble I went through I asked Kasia for a discount but she just laughed straight to my face. My dress arrived shortly before the wedding, it was all wrinkled, bundled in a tiny bag. I got it out of the store in a plastic garbage bag! Alterations that her rude mother offered were very expensive so I got them done somewhere else for much less. The overall process what very unpleasant, Kasia and moreover her mother were very, very unpleasant, yelled at me, made me cry every time I was there. I was very disappointed and couldn?t believe that Chicago still has places with such awful service.
So all the potential customers beware, you might find your dress there a little cheaper, but don?t worry, Kasia?s awfully impolite mother will get the difference back on her expensive alterations. Go to a place that threats their customers right, you do not need the stress when preparing for the most important day of your life ? you deserve better.

I went here soley on a recommendation from a coworker that bought her gown at this cute boutique. She and I have similar tastes, so I trusted her judgement, as her gown was absolutely stunning. When I pulled up, I was a bit shocked as my expectation was different of the outside, but I still went in and BOY AM I GLAD I DID! This boutique is truly a treasure in itself like a couple other people here have too posted. You walk in and immediately you see an ocean of colors & fabric. SO MANY dresses! The store had, I'm not kidding, maybe 2000 bridal gowns alone. The store owner asked me for my choice of style and fabric, color and gave me OPTIONS! MANY OF THEM. I saw all moderate to high priced designers (about $300 to $3500). I told the owner what my budget was and she made sure to stay under ($2000). I loved the fact that I was important to her. She kept to my appointment and offered me her 'personal shopping experience' as she promised me over the phone. It truly was personal and she worked with me the entire time, I didn't have to look for her to have questions answered. I fell in love with four gowns, all in a range of prices (one of them was only $550, I couldn't believe it!). I ended up purchasing a $900 dress from Demetrios. She offered me options to purchase out of her stock at a much lower price, or to purchase a new one at an off-price as well. The Demetrios dress she pulled for me, that I ended up buying, was a gown right out of her stock that was in fact brand new. With the money I saved, I had extra money to spend on accessories, alterations, AND flowers! She freshly opened the gown in front of me so I new it was new. I mentioned accessories, the number of hair accessories she had, Oh my god! And they were well priced. The alterations were prompt and inexpensive and were NOT a flat fee. I recommend this place to anyone & everyone. If you want personal service, honesty, and great prices, make an appointment with Kasia's Bridal.

I just picked up my LaSposa bridal gown and the last of my eleven Alfred Angelo bridesmaid's dresses from this cute little boutique. My wedding is Saturday, and all I could do is rave! The prices were great, the service personal, and I always worked with an owner not some, commissioned teenager. I worked with the two owners through my entire planning process and have to say that this was one of the most pleasant experiences throughout my entire rollercoaster of a wedding. Kasia and Grace really made sure that I was at ease at all times. Even when my crazy in-laws got involved. They get really busy though, so it's hard to come in without an appoointment. But with an appointment, I could never complain. All was done per my (and my bridesmaids) wishes. Colors matched to dye lots, and the alterations were perfect. My frreshly steamed gown was waiting for me today when I arrived - all my gowns are absolutely beautiful and wouldn't change a thing. I have already recommended this cute little shop to friends, and will continue to do so. Small place with a lot to offer! I wish I had known about this place earlier, I would have stopped shopping a lot sooner.

Pros: Small boutique, great prices with selection I haven't seen anywhere else

Cons: Make an appointment or it will be difficult to see anything

For so much emphasis this little independent shop owner puts on making your wedding her priority, it really isn't at all. In fact, every time I walk in there, I have to re-introduce myself and remind her when my wedding is. I had my second dress fitting the other day, and not only did I once again have to remind her who I was, she also had no idea what my dress looked like. When I tried it on, she commented how the cap sleeves on the gown looked just like they were made for that dress...well, they WERE made for that dress. It was designed with cap sleeves, and she had no idea. The biggest head ache in this entire process was that I had asked her to save the fabric from the bottom of my dress after it was hemmed so I could attach it to a jacket my friend is making for my ceremony. I asked this on the first visit. I asked this when I called to check on the dress. I asked it at the primary fitting. When I got to my second fitting after the dress had been altered, not only was there no fabric to be found....but they had thrown it away! Of course they blamed it on the new girl. Here I am two weeks before my wedding, with no fabric in sight. And on top of that, every time I've called to check on the newly ordered fabric, they act too busy to talk, tell me they'll call right back, and a day later, I still haven't heard from them. One last thing, my mom called Kasia to ask about the fabric, because clearly I wasn't getting anywhere. Kasia made up a lie saying that there was only one inch of fabric hemmed from the bottom of my dress, and since it was a scrap, they threw it away. Well, let me tell you...I am 5'0' and that dress was made for a 5'10" woman...do the math. One inch?! Anyway, how much does the new fabric cost? $45/half a yard. She still hasn't told me if they're paying for it.

Pros: semi-affordable

Cons: she has no idea who you are, and doesn't really care about your wedding

I ordered my wedding dress from Kasia for my 11/04 wedding. I had done some research and knew what I wanted and the appropriate pricing. Another shopped quoted me over $200 more than the MSRP and advised me that there was a flat rate of another $200 for alterations. Then, I found Kasia's Bridal. She had the dress, her prices were VERY competitive and get this.....the Casablanca dress was available in a "custom-cut" for a mere $80 more. The dress came in EARLY and fit like a glove. I left Kasia with a great big hug and thank you. She is fair and conscientious.....and most importantly honest.

Kasia's was the best. My sister is getting married in a few short weeks, so we needed something immediately. Kasia/Kathy was the best. She pulled dresses that all looked great on the bride-to-be, and gave wonderful advice for us to consider. I went back to choose my maid-of-honor dress, and again we had the wonderful service and great dresses. I only wish I had known about this place when I had gotten married!
