I get it, I have been into so many Italian places and I felt it in here, the genuineness that I am looking for. The cooking in here is splendid. Grateful that I have found out about this place.

I stumbled upon this quaint little hidden gem when I was looking for lunch during my Jury duty break near the Vista Court Complex. Any escape from that monotony would be a good one! I took a right out of the parking lot because I

Stop into this great gem of a find for out of this world eggplant parmigiana. Also a decent wine list for a casual restaurant.

Great little, family-owned Italian place off of Melrose Drive near the courthouse. Lovely atmosphere...friendly service. Never busy when we've been there. We definitely plan on going back!

Pros: great food, ambience, service good and owners really sweet, lots of parking

Cons: was a little hard to find because it's in a new mall behind

We went to Via Sicilia for the first time last night and loved it! The atmosphere is wonderful. The cobblestone floor, the street lights, it is all very impressive. The food is top-notch too. I had a mushroom/onion calzone and found it to be quite tasty, not to mention a generous amount. My boyfriend had the Rigatoni Arrabiata and loved the spicy flavor of it. We also got a cannoli which challenges the best we've had in San Diego. Sweet, but not too sweet and just the right texture. I highly recommend this place. The service is also very good.
